Sources confirm to me exclusively that Scott has closed a deal to guest star on NCIS this May as Dana Hutton, a ZNN reporter who vanishes without a trace. The NCIS crew is tasked with tracking her down, but one member of the team ends up taking a, ahem, special interest in the case. Guesses? Confession: I added “ahem” and italicized “special interest” for dramatic effect. The truth is, although Tony does take a special interest in the case, I don’t know for sure that he takes a special interest in the case, if you catch my drift.

Ziva doesn’t have much of a fan base. I doubt there would be a ratings hit. But it would improve the show a great deal if they got rid of her.
As for her looks, you mean the way they slathered on her makeup with a trowel in the latest episode? No, I think she’s peaked as far as looks go… and the makeup department apparently agrees.
The addition of Ziva was what got me hooked on the show. Kill her off and it becomes something that is background noise.
I didn’t care about the show when Kate was on. It’s the chemistry of the team that’s important.
And Ziva detracts from the team’s chemistry. She’s a piece that’s never fit well.
Ziva doesn’t have much of a fan base? Riiiiiight. That’s why there are so many people on here defending her. And her chemistry with the rest of the team is great.
Ha, didn’t she provide issues between Weatherly’s character and Jessica Alba’s character for the same reason.

I couldn’t care less if she does or doesn’t. See this is why I quit watching NCIS in the first place. because instead of mainly solving crime and the team sharing their dynamic what do we have now? A crime soap opera with who’s gonna get with whom, jealousy, teammates picking on eachother more then what is necessary ect… I’m tired of it and the ever lasting Tiva being shoved down my throat. Sorry for ranting just had to get that off my chest. *breath* ok I’m good.
You forgot the team blatantly breaking the law up to and including covering up a murder.
Well, that’s seems to fit in with America’s zeitgeist. We as a culture love violence, love to see law enforcement ignoring the law and going vigilante, we love murder and watching people being brutally killed, we love killers and really love seeing people degraded. Our heroes are thugs, drug addicts and drug dealers. Our heroes are promiscuous and yet self-righteous. They dress in Tuxedos while they brag about selling drugs when they were kids.
All things considered, NCIS doesn’t seem so bad.

ok first of all NCIS is a drama series that is gonna have guess what? DRAMA so thats how the writers write it. I love NCIS I am addicted. Second of all Gibbs bends the law because of his past, it alls leads up to the season finale one big huge part!!!!!!!! so shut the hell up!!!!

Seriously? Haven’t they always done that? This show is not a pure crime procedural and at least since the 2nd season, the crimes usually take second place to team interaction and some kind of emotional connection with a victim or a victim’s family. Even before Tiva there was McAbby. And they’ve always pulled pranks on each other!

I’m just going to throw this out there, but if you honestly can’t stand the show and have quit watching it, then why do you feel the need to comment on an article about the show? A good way to not have the Tiva and show’s “crime soap opera” ways is to not read spoilers or things about it.
There is also nothing wrong with the show adding different elements such as romance and the such to the show. This is to draw viewers of all genres to it. I frankly like that they include the team interaction and emotional connection.
P.S.-Hope, when was the last time you watched the show? Because it sounds like you are taking only the things you read and applying them to the actual show.
I think the last time I watched was Faith. It got to painful after that. And I get the whole”if you don’t watch then why comment’ thing down pat so you won’t get any back talk from me. I’ve been keeping my ears to the powers that be if you will and that’s how I get what info I have I could watch again if it got better but is hasn’t IMHO. and the picking on teammates it seems like their abusing Mcgee to much and it sickens me. so there’s your answer.

Totally don’t see the fact that they’re abusing McGee too much. If anything, I think Ziva and McGee have ganged up more on DiNozzo. That may due in the part to the horrendous writing for DiNozzo this season although I will say it’s gotten a little better in the past couple of episodes. But I agree with Kali…I think McGee is starting to turn kind of a jerk.

Me either. I really used to like NCIS before they started trying to make Tony and Ziva an item. Now I don’t even watch the show unless there’s nothing else on. The two of them have great chemistry as partners, but as far as romance goes? All I can say is ICK–it just doesn’t work for me.

Why not? TPTB seem determined to destroy the Gibbs-pairings this season by introducing bad girls/babes of the week. Only fair they should do the same with Tony, too.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but wasn’t Kate’s love life a relevant point of the series pilot episode? She wouldn’t have joined NCIS if she hadn’t gotten in trouble for sleeping with her Secret Service partner. So, my answer would be the beginning…

Thanks, it’s been awhile since I’ve seen it and I didn’t want to say she was boffing the dead guy from the case. Nonetheless, my point has been made about the show’s history of noting the characters’ sex lives.
There is NO TIVA. There is a lot of we want TIVA but until the two are boffin like rabbits there is no TIVA (Thank TPTB-so far). But, hey, conflict=drama=ratings. Resolution and concilliation… boring.
Man, and aren’t we thankful for that. As bad as it’s been with*out* a relationship can you imagine how horrific it would be if they ever *did* put them together? BLECH! Bring back the show fans fell in love with and leave the soap operas to daytime tv.

Well, DiNozzo is not so much a man since 2 or 3 seasons now, the same is true for Gibbs. The 2 were flirting a lot, now it just seem to be a fuel for the medias. But I’ll be happy if it comes back to that: flirt, occasional romance, and NO romance between main characters. I’m so fed up with Tiva, it’s driving me away from NCIS… Didn’t think it possible.
Maybe if Ziva sees Tony taking a “special” interest in the case…it will get her jealous…and maybe bring some progress even though I don’t expect anything major to happen with Tony and Ziva until next season but some more progress would be nice.
How about progression back to NCIS and away from ‘As The Bullpen Turns’
with any luck she’ll get herself a life & quit trying for sex in the bullpen…sad sad day when Ziva takes over NCIS & her ‘romance’ is more important than all the other subtext pairings we used to have…Brennan really needs to just go away
