'Burn Notice' exclusive: 'Supernatural' baddie spies major arc

burn-notice-wisdomImage Credit: Glenn Watson/USA; Inset: Chris Hatcher/PR PhotosEvil will have a new face next season on Burn Notice, and it’ll look a lot like the guy in the inset to the left. His name’s Robert Wisdom, he’s best known from his work on The Wire (as Bunny), Prison Break (as Lechero), and Supernatural (as bad angel Uriel), and sources confirm to me exclusively he’s joining the cast of the USA smash as the latest thorn in Michael’s side.

According to a Burn insider, Wisdom will play — Alias flashback alert! — Vaughn, a veteran spy handler who works for the group that burned Michael. Possessing an impressive combination of high-end book smarts and real-world experience, he’s smart, world-weary, and ruthless.

The addition of Wisdom, who is on board for a minimum of six episodes, marks the second major piece of casting for Burn Notice‘s upcoming fourth season. Last week I reported that Third Watch‘s Coby Bell had been recruited as a new operative.

I love that at the beginning Michael says a very not-nice way of saying “Welcome to Miami” in Spanish like he speaks it all the time, then recently….”Tu errrres…eeeeress? What’s Spanish for “no”, it’s still “no”, right?” Silly goose!

I love the fact that a lot of Wire stars are showing up on decent tv shows! Now if only Snoop could get cast in something :-)

this is good, so Colby won’t be the ‘token’ …now if they would just add some Hispanophone regulars it might actually seem more authentically Miami …

I’m really hoping Burn Notice breaks out of the formulaic season structure. It’s really killing the cool vibe the show had going for it when it first started.

    • Justin

Where have you been? This show has kept its cool vibe since the beginning!

  • Kelly

    • Darby

speaking of Alias, did you notice our boy Sark’s stint over on 24? HOT!

  • Nina

    What is Burn Notice?

    • Bernice

oh gosh that was actually one of the decent skits SNL has this season. It had me cracking up.

    • Jake

It is what you get when your boyfriend wants to break up with you.

Bunny Colvin starts a new version of Hamsterdam in Miami. Now we just need for Herc and Carver to patrol the streets looking for young hoppers to send to the new Hamsterdam but they better watch out for Chris and Snoop or Sam and Fiona.

Love Burn Notice over in the UK. Great news about the casting of Robert Wisdom. Now if FX in the UK can get their act together and start airing season 3 ASAP, all will be good in the world!
