'Private Practice' mystery: Where's Amy Brenneman?

    The character is supposed to be a downer right now she’s got ptsd. As much as i love Brian Benben from WAY back when he had his show on hbo or showtime.. but still love Amy B. She’s an awesome actress who knows how to play complicated characters. Looking forward to her return

    I love Amy Brenneman since she was on NYPD Blue, Judging Amy, now Private Practice. Violet is my favorite character, and Pete and Violet are the reason why I watch rhe show.

    Amy Brenneman is the best thing about this show.
    She is talented and real. Her character, as well, is one of the most interesting. After her horrific experience, of course she’s going through a terrible time. Don’t understand people who don’t get that.
    Do you want light and fluffy all the time? Much more interesting actress than Kate Walsh. I personally thought that was the problem. That it was getting to seem to be her show. I think she’s definitely a more appealing actress than Kate. Given the choice of watching Amy and her character or Kate and her character, there’s no contest. I would definitely take Amy every time. There are a million Kate Walsh’s, only one Amy. Loved her on Chasing Amy with Tyne Daly, another “real” actress.

    looks like her surgery was a face-lift! As soon as Pete opened the door, Violet was there, but, it didn’t look like Amy Brenneman. No issue with it, but interesting her publicist stated she was taking time off for surgery for a chronic health issue…is aging a chronic health issue?

    C’mon guys, be real. Take a look at her face since she came back. Definitely had work done. Medical problem!!!!!!! Yeah, she had haggarditis. Wish she’d just admit to it instead of this cockamamie mysterious surgery she claims to have had. I have nothing against surgical improvement; just tell the truth.

    Violet was not missed. I think her character has run it’s course. But as to Amy her chronic problem including plastic surgery, she is pulled smooth,

    I hope and pray She has her Anorexia under control for herslef and family.She’s very talented,even if I don’t like her character Violet on ‘Private Practice’.

    If not for Amy Brenneman, I would have never started watching Private Practice. I have come to love “Charlotte and Cooper” as much as “Violet”. However, I thought she went on a sabbatical for plastic surgery–sure looks younger since she came back. Even more beautiful and she was a natural beauty before. Maybe it’s all makeup. But I don’t think sooo . . . . Skin job. No matter . . . she’s an all time favorite and I still miss Judging Amy. She’s not just a beauty, she’s an exceptional actress who deserves an Emmy more than some of those . . . keep it clean, keep it clean . . . winners. Can’t wait to see her get a really good starring, dramatic TV movie role.
