I wouldn’t read too much into Ausiello’s teasing…as Leonard said once before “Sheldon has no deal”. He aint interested in women or men, hes a new species…hes a “sheldon”
It’s hardly a new behavior, especially for scientists. He’s like Tesla, more interested in his science than in sex or love (ignoring Tesla’s curious obsession with his pigeons)

Anyway, I’ve watched the episode and I have to offer my congratulations to Judy Greer for a job well done! She really spiced by the show in that one episode.
