Rather, the newly-single Ghost Whisperer star and self-professed romantaholic has been tapped to guest star in the promising NBC pilot from Sex and the City scribe Cindy Chupack.
Details about her cameo are being kept under wraps, but a Peacock insider tells me that Hewitt will play herself. My guess? One of the show’s lovelorn leads — portrayed by Ugly Betty‘s Becki Newton and My Boys‘ Jordana Spiro — will meet Hewitt at a signing for her new memoir-slash-advice book, The Day I Shot Cupid. But I’m just spitballing.
Love Bites is an anthology-esque dramedy that follows three loosely connected stories of love, dating, and marriage each week. In addition to Hewitt, the pilot’s impressive guest cast includes Heroes‘ Greg Grunberg, Lipstick Jungle‘s Lindsay Price, Sex and the City‘s Jason Lewis, and The Office‘s Craig Robinson.

no, spiro and newton are regulars. it’s not “love american style”, it’s a show about two women with a revolving cast of guest stars.

but she is the death of all show’s she touches. of course it will be cancelled if she is a regular. but as a guest star she won’t hurt it. (See How I met Your Mother)

I like My Boys but i hope it doesnt return because i love Jordana and this Pilot sounds like it gonna be amazing and could be a real career takeoff for her…And My Boys is pretty much a sinkhole on TBS now TBS just doesnt seem to care about it anymore

The character is someone one of the guys meets on a plane and is on his celeb “list” of girls he’s allowed to sleep with. Originally written in the pilot script for Alyssa Milano.
This is an anthology series, like Love American Style (if any of you are old enough to remember that)…it means there is no connective tissue between the episodes, just within the episodes…no regular cast members…just constant guest stars…been a while since there has been a successful show from that genre…
Yes,Lee,I DO INDEED remember “Love,American Style”,the likes of which would be a nice break from all the “American Idol/Dancing with the Stars” knockoffs. Plus,it’s an easy paycheck for out-of-work actors or those with extra time on their hands while waiting to film their next movie sequel.
