I’m actually sad. I think that Katharine Heigl is a talented actress and when she was used well she added a lot to the show. If she’s unhappy…let her go.

  • Ashleigh

Soooooooo many other stories more deserving of the cover. Oh well, glad it is over. I’ve been a fan of Grey’s from the beginning, and can honestly say I haven’t missed Izzie at all.

I know! THIS crap gets a cover? She looks so old and it’s even edited w/in an inch of its life. Good riddance to bad rubbish. Loved how KH mocks her fans w/ this pose in this pic though. She always is a beyotch though, ie. her nasty remarks to GA writers, remarks about hours she had to work on GA, and things she said about the movie SHE signed on to do, Knocked Up.

  • Zora

Wow Andy, how much is Heigl paying you?

    • Andy

What haters can post but fans of hers can’t? Get over yourself.

      • Kelly

        Agree Andy!

      • professor farnsworth

You just look like a stalker, sorry.

  • Melissa

Yeah Michael!! Congrats on the cover! Too bad it is confirming what I feared – my favorite character is no longer on Grey’s.

  • BenG

Well that’s the end of Grey’s for me.

  • MJ

Does any one really care about this any more ?

  • bobbianne

Loved Izzie, but totally fed up with Katherine Heigl and her antics. Glad she’s gone. At least now we’re not wondering and the story can move on without her.

  • John K

Not sad to see her go at all – storylines around her character were painful at best.

  • Vanessa

They should wrap it up by Alex sending her divorce papers. Let him be the strong one.
I’m happy Ausiello got a cover story but not sure that she is worthy or a cover. I wonder if she talks about her other nasty commments, like those she made after “Knocked Up” made her a movie star?

    • Donna

I didn’t think Knocked Up was that great a movie.

      • Vanessa

It was better than “The Ugly Truth”!

  • Kelly

I like Katherine and will continue to follow her and see her movies. I don’t have any problem with her leaving the show so she can spend time with her daughter. I would have liked some scenes to have her exit because I didn’t care for the way she left (the writing) but it is what it is, if all agreed she wouldn’t return then so be it. Looking forward to reading the article on Friday.

don’t believe that she’s leaving to spend more time with her daughter. That’s just spin. I would think being part of an ensemble cast like Grey’s would allow her more time with her daughter than a lead in a movie.

Thank God. Hated Izzie and can’t stand KH. She is a nasty piece of work. I hope her lame romcom movie career flops. She’s getting old and other than snarky humor, she can’t act. She won’t last much longer in Hollywood which is dominated by flavor of the month. Her expiration date looms and then she will be a nobody again and WISH she hadn’t tossed Grey’s so carelessly aside. I wont’ miss her at all. She was a selfish, nasty, judgemental shrew on the show. Hated the last season of IzME’s Anatomy so LOVED not seeing her any this season. Hit the bricks KH.

    • Janie

LOL. Did Katherine Heigl kick your puppy or something? Get a grip.

      • professor farnsworth

Did she go down on you or something? Get a grip.

  • kto

I am loving grey’s this season – I really like the whole teddy/owen/christina thing – I like the PTSD story line – really one of my favorite shows on TV – as for Izzie – her ending was OK – Alex saying I can be a good guy – I want you to be happy but go – with that said I want the best Alex back not the one who is so damaged

  • coco

    good riddance.
i knew it was over when she dye her hair dark.

  • laurie

Does she think dyeing her hair brown and posing like she’s praying will suddenly make her sympathetic and likeable?

Give me a break. This is just a fluffy PR piece where Katherine pretends to care in order to save face. If she really wants to “focus on her family,” and leaving Grey’s isn’t about her career, then why is she doing this kind of in-depth interview and cover story? Why doesn’t she just go away and let us all forget she exists?

She’s a terrible actress — I have never liked her on Grey’s. She stuck out like a sore thumb in scenes with far, FAR more talented actors like Chandra Wilson and Sandra Oh, to name just two.

Goodbye, and good riddance! Don’t let the door hit you on the way out.

      I agree!
