Oooh ooh ooh!!!! Please oh please oh please!

  • I heart Unicorns

I pledge to see this movie times a zillion

  • David4

Let’s be real, how much did the show cost? A million or so an episode? All they need is like 20 million tops and they should easily make their money back.

  • Amy

Veronica as a 30 something noir detective? Frak yes! I was just thinking yesterday how much I miss Jason Dohring, and here’s possible good news.

  • JPX

There’s no reason to make this film, nobody cares about Veronica Mars. It failed as a television show so why would anyone believe that it would be a successful movie? It would only make money the first weekend as the nerds got it out of their system.

    • Sal

      Nobody cares about you JPX

  • Brianna

God, I wish they would make it. Quit teasing us :[

I would totally watch this movie, i’ve been waiting for it for years now! I don’t think that there was any closure to the show, i would really like some, and some awesome LoVe moments. Come on, who doesn’t want that?

  • ARPL

Gah, why the negativity! We need this movie to get made. It isn’t dead.

  • Mary Q. Contrary

I want this very, very badly. If anyone up there is paying attention, listen up: Veronica Mars is a fully fleshed out character, and Kristen Bell fits her like a glove. Rob Marshall is her voice, and the rest of the cast are kind of like a finely-tuned accompaniment. If the script is good, and you can market it in a fresh, appealing way, this could be a hit. It HAS to be cutting edge (but not soulless), and it HAS to be R, for the direction the humor can go in alone. And besides, she’ll obviously be past college, so what’s the point in making a movie marketed toward teens when they don’t remember the show, and don’t identify with the character. Anyway, I know this could find a market, it just needs some TLC.

I think you mean Rob Thomas. Rob Marshall made Chicago.

I think a VM storyline could make an excellent spy/detective thriller.

      • Shiny

True, Rob Marshall made Chicago and Rob Thomas is that dude from Matchbox Twenty. ;-)

  • t.d.

    It would be awesome.

  • Kc

I would pay to see this.

I’m not holding my breath for a “Mars” movie, but if it does happen, it’s been so long that I think Thomas should use Bell’s “advanced” age instead of try to work against it. Jump us 5 or 10 years into the future and set up a new mystery. The time jump would give newbies to jump in (no dangling storylines from the series), and give fans the closure we didn’t get from the finale (where is she now?). But if he really wants to make it, he should just make it and stop waiting for a major studio greenlight. Plenty of independent films are made for less than what “Mars” would cost, and going the independent route would give him the freedom to go darker, deeper, more complex.

  • dw

i would pay imax 3d prices to see that movie

  • He’s living in a dream world if he thinks a MAJOR studio will finance this. I think he should go independent if he’s so desperate to get it made.

    • Jennifer

I’m still trying to figure out why a major studio financed Kick-Ass, but maybe an independent flick would be the best venue here. Just want the movie, don’t really care how it is produced.

      • Megan

‘A major studio’ didn’t finance Kick-Ass… Matthew Vaughn, the director, asked showbiz friends to help finance the movie. He was turned down by several studios because they thought the movie just wouldn’t work.

  • Jennifer

Just recently found Veronica Mars and in the process of a few months I’ve bought the entire series and joined the movement to make a movie. Am also a diehard Whedon fan, so I say bring the movie on. If Firefly’s fans had stopped with the support Serenity would never have been made. VM is one of the best things to ever grace the television screen and little ol me is going to keep supporting it.
