Image Credit: Carin Baer/AMCConsidering the new agency is called Sterling Cooper Draper Pryce, this was inevitable: Mad Men is elevating Jared Harris to a full-fledged series regular in season 4, sources confirm to me exclusively.
Harris joined the Emmy-winning drama in season 3 as Lane Pryce, Sterling Cooper’s new financial officer (installed by UK parent company Putnam, Powell, and Low). In the finale, he became a founding partner in SCDP alongside Don Draper, Bert Cooper, and Roger Sterling.

Sal is gone for good, although he might guest in an episode or two. Great news about Lane, though!

There has been no report that Sal might guest in an episode or two. Right now, nobody knows anything, including Brian Batt. Anything is possible–we’ll never see him again, he might guest, or maybe there will be a point where he does come back as a regular.

In any show, supporting, and sometimes main characters change. Maybe Bratt will be back for an arc. In any event, the only safe character on this show seems to be Don.
He was barely in the show. His character was never fully developed.
He was just an ornament. Now I hope they give Peggy and Joan more screen time especially Joan.
I never realized how amazing he was until I saw him in Fringe.

I didn’t realize until now that he’s the son of the late Richard Harris. I guess we know where he got his acting chops.
I didn’t know that either, till now! Interesting that his “presence” is radically different from that of his father, but they’re both great.

I didn’t like him very much in the beginning, but he grew on me and by the season finale I loved him. “Very good, Happy Christmas” needs to be put on a t-shirt.

I am happy to hear Jared Harris is staying on as a regular. Lane Pryce has become one of my favourites on the show along with Don, Betty, Joan and Pete. Can’t wait for the summer return of Mad Men!
He is a wonderful fit into the show. As for Sal? They need a art dirctor for the new firm.I am sure he will be back.
