A possible clue can be found in the fine print of the ex-Blossom star’s Big Bang contract. Sources confirm that the hitcom’s producers have an option to bring her brainiac character back next fall. Of course, a romance would seem to fly in the face of exec producer Chuck Lorre’s third-gender theory. Bottom line: I have no clue where this is leading.

That sounds about right. Man, this show ran out of ideas faster than I thought it would. It was golden for the first two seasons, but this season was a stinker. It has become the Sheldon Show week after week and its the same old routine. I hope they give it one more season to wrap up everything and then quit before they start tanking at an even more rapid rate.
Oh yeah, Tracey Gold would have been a better love interest – Carol Seaver was one hot nerd. I never understood how the Blossom girl was on tv, she must have relatives in the business.

I have to agree with Growing Pains. Mayim Bialik has to have incriminating evidence on someone high up in the business. Why does she keep getting work? That is the only explanation. She must have pictures of David Geffen in a threesome with Les Moonves and Steven Spielberg, possibly involving rodents and midgets riding tricycles. That’s my theory.

I think so too, I hope she’s as much as a ‘geek’ about Sci-fi as he is, because that could be lots of fun too…
The only girl can than make Sheldon interested in girls is NOT going to be Blossom. Bridget Reagan from Legend of the Seeker would have been a better choice – she is incredibly HOT, if Sheldon was not interested in her, he won’t be interested with anyone.
IF Sheldon has an interest in someone, it will because of her brains, not her looks.

It has never been stated one way or the other on the show. The executive producer of the show stated in an interview that Sheldon was asexual and not interested in either one. Not sure what this new “romance” storyline means though.
So hard to picture Sheldon with any girl with the gay vibe his got going on, Sheldon is such a queeny if ever I saw one. It would take some major acting chops to pull off any hetero romantic pairing for Sheldon.

Sheldon thinks of biological urges as “an affliction”. I can’t wait for him to be afflicted! Wonder if he’ll remember the tie on the doorknob. It would be great if he stopped the romance long enough to explain the what the tie symbolizes to her. Would also love to hear, “Sheldon, you magnificent beast!”
I am a huge fan of this show. I, however, think that this pairing is awful. I think she’s not right for this role, and why is it that Leonard gets the pretty girl and Sheldon gets the dog? Sorry, but it’s true
They just have her made up as plain, she is very pretty in real life and that will come out in the program, just wait.
I thought Martha (The Psychic Vortex) was very attractive.
Because Leonard is the most normal of the bunch and the only one with halfway decent social skills. If ANY of them have a chance at getting the attractive girl its him.
If you can find another actress with an actual PhD in neuroscience, you might convince me that Mayim isn’t right for the role. And she is definitely not a “dog.”
I just saw her on a re-run of What Not to Wear a few days ago. She was hilarious…in such a dry way. She’ll be perfect.
I agree. This sounds like ‘jump the shark’ to me. Big Bang Theory for the most part has been terrible this season. The jokes have become more cliched and obvious, they have made it the Sheldon Cooper show week after week and given very little screentime to the other actors. The problem with that is Sheldon is a very one dimensional character. It would be interesting to see the other characters who can atleast evolve. Howard, Raj are both comic gold yet they’re used like props this season.
Am I the only one who thinks Sheldon’s perfect woman is Leonard’s mother? That episode where she kissed Sheldon was hilarious.
I’ve always thought they were perfect together. Plus it would mess Leonard up all over the place!
I think that would just be too awkward. Plus, poor Leonard has enough psychological scars, he doesn’t that on top of them.
I LOVE THIS SHOW.

My theory is that Sheldon will finally hit “puberty” and begin experiencing sexual feelings for the opposite sex.
