    Awe, how sweet of you.

  • JACKHART

lost finale is on a sunday?? .. marking my calender now .. thx mike a.

    • jen

yes, same here. sounds odd, but ok.

      • Amanda

I heard it was because that Sunday is the 23rd. And it’s one of “the numbers” so… Just playing into all of those numbers.

      • MikerMan

It’s on the Sunday to avoid American Idol… smart move if you ask me!

      • Mary Q. Contrary

It’s because they’re airing a two-hour recap before the show, and the only night they can do that on is Sunday. Starting at 7 pm, there will be a 2-hour recap of the series, followed by the 2-hour series finale, followed by a 1-hour post-finale special, hosted by Jimmy Kimmel, where the producers are going to give their one and only post-finale interview.

      • DocRules

I can’t wait for Jimmy’s ‘Lost: After the Final Rose’ special! Darlton’s pre-taped segment should hopefully be very good.

      • Big Walt

The producers are not going on Kimmel after the finale. They clarified they’ll be on on Friday the 21st and will tape something for his Sunday show.

      • Carla

Odd, but it’s a week after DH limps to the finish line on the 16th of May, so I’m happy…

    • dawn

Avoiding going head-to-head with the Idol finale, and likely making room for a 2-hour Dancing With the Stars finale.

    • BLM

I just did a double take! Lost on a Sunday???

      • Kim

Old news. And it’s a 5 hour event! 7-9 is a recap, 9-11 is the finale and then Darlton are on Jimmy Kimmel.

      • LOL

The LOST finale has been listed as being on Sunday 5/23 for months now. This is old news.

      • Antonio

        5 Hours.. Yipppeee!!!

      • BLM

Sorry I didn’t catch this “old news”. I must have had other things to do…

      • chunky boys

oh snap son. blm just call you a loser. oh snap.

      • April

I’m with you Kim…every Lost fan should’ve known the series finale date by now. I’m already planning the week. I came here to see what else came on during that time.

      • Anime Me!

Not to burst your bubble April, but the die-hard fans like you would have known, trolling the internet for every bit and morsel that you could. Not saying that is a bad thing. I am a die-hard myself for a few shows. Lost isn’t one of them. BUT, I am more of a casual fan. I didn’t know the finale date. That being said, it’s the casual fan that these networks cater to. They know the die-hards will be there no matter what, they have you already. It’s the casual fan, the ones that they need to fight for, the ones that may not know every detail…that these networks want the most.

    • allie08

I’m sure it has nothing to do with the number 23 and everything to do with DWTS needing two hours on both Monday and Tuesday. Grrrr.

      • Brian

Slash, it has everything to do with making one of the biggest television events of the decade air on a night people are traditionaly home for TV. Sunday is a day for big event television (Super Bowl, Oscars, Emmys, Grammys, etc.).

      • Applesauce

right THE BIGGEST TELEVISION EVENT EVER (sarcasim)!!! i thought no cared about lost anymore. whatever its obvious that in the end…

      • hannah

its definitely a coincidence that its on the 23rd that they’re making work for them

    • C Love

Am I the only one pissed the lost finale will be on a sunday to makle room for DWTS UGH

      • Brian

        That’s not why.

      • briansucks

And you know this how Miss Cleo?

      • to briansucks

See Kim’s response above or if you are too daft to go look I’ll copy & paste it for you…”And it’s a 5 hour event! 7-9 is a recap, 9-11 is the finale and then Darlton are on Jimmy Kimmel”

      • arg

        yes

    • julia

so excited! i always work nights on tuesday and have to tape lost but now i can watch the series finale as its happening! so excited

    • jack

It was done for ratings. Plus, their charging $200,000+ for 30 seconds of commercial time. People will tune in because it is still a major ratings draw. I can’t wait!

  • Kim

I think you might be wrong about TRAUMA…they had their episode order cut by 2, and I think their season (series) finale airs on April 26th now.

    • dkamoy

Yes Kim, you are right. Trauma ends on April 26th.

  • Christian

You forgot Better Off Ted under ABC. *sobbing*

    • Lockly

      Me too.

    • elr

Yeah. What exactly is the status of Better Off Ted? I’m ready to be pissed if it has been cancelled!

  • Emily

It’s neat that the 24 finale is on the 24th!

    • Justin

      Very true!

  • chelsea

you have B&S finale the same time/day as Housewives….

    • KC

They always follow back to back on Sunday. It says B&S at 10 and Desperate at 9

  • EMarie

Is it safe to assume that Brothers & Sisters will air at 10 PM, not 9 PM on 5/16, since Housewives is listed @ 9PM for the same day?

  • kp

you have both the brothers & sisters and desperate housewives finales airing on may 16 at 9pm…not sure how this is logistically possible, seeing as they’re both on abc.

  • Zoe

Apparently only lead males are important enough to warrant being featured in the photo.

    • Christian

Duh. Who let you out of the kitchen anyway?

      (all a joke, I promise)

      • Jenny

not a funny joke. very rude!

      • Rebekah

No worries, Christian. I thought it was funny, too.

      • bdoll

funny when you don’t take yourself WAY too seriously.

    • ConcernedSoul

      Makes sense, isn’t Ausiello gay?

    • shutup

      That is correct.

    • Marc

They’re also all white – less glaring than the sausagefest, but still noticiable.

  • Dominique

Thanks for this, I’m glad the finale of my fave shows are not all on the same day. I remember last year, Grey’s Anatomy, Smallville and Supernatural were all on the same day and I wa slike “WTH am I gonna wath first?”

    • NT

4 of mine are on the same day : ( 2 at the same time.

  • B

This list is helpful! Thanks Ausiello!

  • Ripley

Thank you! Thank you! Now I can start plan the month of May.

  • Lorie

    Gracias!

  • ajaynyc1701

    Long live 24!

  • Rock Golf

Whew! I was afraid that the finales of Lost & Survivor would be on opposite each other. I know which group of castaways I’d be following at the end to see if there was a sole survivor…
