Image Credit: Jordin Althaus/NBCI’m really not trying to toy with your emotions, Chuck fans. Honest. But I just received a fresh batch of extremely reliable intel that has led me to once again tweak the show’s status on my Bubble Show Scorecard.
After two anxiety-inducing weeks at “could go either way,” I’m happy to report that Chuck is back to being a “safe bet.” A well-placed source close to Team Bartowski whose name is not Josh Schwartz (scout’s honor!) tells me “it’s looking good” that NBC will do the right thing and renew the show for a fourth season.
A final decision isn’t expected for a few more weeks, so there’s a good chance my buzzometer will fluctuate again. Even more reason to enjoy this bit of good news while it lasts!

Legend of the Seeker should go back to the 90s with the rest of the Hercules clones where it belongs. Godawful adaptation of a so-so fantasy series.

As much as I want to start watching Seeker because it does look good, having this same guy spamming all of Ausiello’s posts complaining about every other show getting coverage except Seeker is downright annoying! STOP spamming other threads!

Hope this is true, but the only way to get Chuck from a ‘Safe Bet’ to a ‘Lock’ is for everyone to spread the word for existing fans to watch LIVE!! If you can introduce the show to new viewers GREAT (especially Nielsen homes), but if we can get the existing fans to watch live that will help the ratings and that’s ALL NBC is looking at right now. Even if you’re not a Nielsen home…our best bet to reach those people is to spread the message to Watch Chuck LIVE! Thanks for the Chuck coverage Aus!!
I wish I could watch Chuck live! Monday nights at 8 are the worst for me! So I always end up watching it on the internet….

I hope you realize that live viewers only matter if they are in a Nielsen family.
Doesn’t hurt to reach as broad an audience as possible. Hopefully a Nielsen viewer sees it and watches Chuck live.
Here’s hoping that all the Neilsen families that watch Chuck have many, many babies…and perhaps adopt a few as well.
It’s so unfortunate…we live in an age where truly accurate TV viewer counts are completely possible (digital boxes could record “hits” on shows like websites, or something), and yet we keep hewing to the old Nielsen system. Btw, telling people to “watch Chuck live!” IS good for the show because BESIDES bolstering a general awareness, you’re probably apt to get to a couple anonymous Nielsen families in the process (assuming they’re as demographically broad as they claim).
Unless the household is a Nielsen home, a better approach is to get people to watch the show online either on NBC’s or Hulu’s site. The traffic generated there is actually measurable.
