Last night’s edition of Celebrity Apprentice — in which Bret Michaels risked getting fired by Donald Trump because he brought in the least amount of money for his team — saw double-digit jumps in viewers and key demographics versus the show’s performance last week, according to preliminary ratings. Granted, the reality show didn’t have to do battle against a fresh episode of CBS’ promising new unscripted show Undercover Boss — instead, the Eye aired a sleeper Hallmark movie called When Love is Not Enough — but the ratings spike was likely due to fan concern over the musician’s grim prognosis. Last Thursday, Michaels suffered a massive subarachnoid hemorrhage and remains hospitalized in critical condition.
Compared to last week, Celebrity Apprentice was up 19 percent in adults 25-54 (from 3.1/07), 20 percent in adults 18-49 (from 2.5/07), and added 1.03 million viewers (from 6.82 million). ABC still won the night in viewers (8.5 million) and adults 18-49 (a 2.3 rating), while Fox and NBC tied for second place in the all-important adult demographic (a 2.2 rating). Final ratings for Sunday will be released Tuesday.

I tuned in because believe it or not that was the best thing on. I DID however find it more entertaining than previous celebrity apprentices and will probably watch it again! GET WELL SOON BRET!
I tune into Hulu.com to watch the episodes.
If you’re picking a show because there’s nothing better on, maybe you should shut the television off. Maybe read a book, a newspaper?
That’s crazy talk! This is America! As a proud American I never turn my TV off! Books are for sissies! /sarcasm
When did my mom come on this board?
AJ, what are you doing on the EW when you should be doing your homework? No dinner for you. And no TV! It’s right to bed with nothing but a book to entertain you. Oh, the horror of reading a book instead of watching mindless television.
I watched to see if they would give a mention, in which they did, for 1.5 seconds at the VERY end of the show. But no, I was not a viewer before last nite.
Never watched it, and never will. I ended up doing some work in my home office and watched TAR and The Simpsons on DVR instead.
So, why did you even post here, darclyte? I didn’t see where it was a poll to ask what you watched last night. Loser.
That was pretty funny. I totally agree. …
i agree with you 100% i enjoy the show personally and i pray my boy Brett pulls through he will be in our prayers for sure. get well soon Brett
He has something to say about every article about every show lol
Oh well so long as you were watching a cartoon that used up its good material a decade ago!
I was just sitting here saying to my wife, “Gosh – what do you think darclyte did last night?” She smiled and said, “Who?” She’s funny. Wow, a “home office” – sounds impressive, darclyte, like sharp cheddar instead of normal cheddar. And you have a DVR in your home office? Fancy. Do you have one of those home offices that changes into a living room when you blink your eyes five really fast? THAT’s fancy, my friend. Well, I look forward to hearing what else you didn’t watch this week.
I signed up just to say roflmao.
LOL LMAO HAHAHAHA now that’s funny.
It’s sad to say, but imagined you saying that stuff to you’re wife in a comic strip version.
If you`re not a comedy writer, you might want to consider it. Very funny.
Wow, pretty harsh. Normally I’m not one to post about a show that I don’t watch, but I thought that the topic was pretty asinine (that people would tune in who hadn’t been just because of Bret.) So the point was that I wasn’t watching it before his illness, and I didn’t suddenly decide to start watching it afterwards. Anyone who suddenly started watching Celeb Apprentice BECAUSE of Bret’s condition is the REAL loser.
I was watching the show this season for Darryl Strawberry. What a disappointment that was. When I noticed how creative Bret was, I realized that the Rock Star stuff was just an act. I can’t believe that he lets them pick on him! He seems like a completely different person than that of “Rock of Love”, creative and hard-working. Get Well Soon, Bret. He’s got to, he just might be in the finale. My thoughts and prayers are with you my brother.
I’ve always watched. And I watched again last night. Was so glad they had the mention at the end. This is so very sad and tragic.
I have been watching all season just because of Bret. He is the star of the show. I am praying for him.
by far, bret is the reason i watch this show, that and because maria is oh so hot
Me too Linda, I think Bret makes this show. Prayers to you Bret, get well soon!!
Good Lord, Trump will somehow turn this slight ratings increase into a PR event and take all the credit himself.
I watch the show every week just because of Bret. Never was a Poison fan, but absolutely love him. He is one of the most compassionate men I have ever seen. my prayers are with him, his family, and fans.
Bret I wish you a full recovery, you and Sharon make the show, God Bless you.
I’ve been watching all along but Bret is the reason I have been watching all along. Love him
This is ridiculous as this show was taped back in November when he was feeling fine, but yet we hear Trump “Has a heart” and din’t want to fire the guy? Come on! This is pure NBC publicity machine woring here. Hoping Bret gets better soon, but again, the show was taped in November, long before Bret suffered this terrible ordeal and Trump is still a little weasel.
I don’t know where you got your information from, but you’re 100% wrong.
Both teams did excellent last night, as he said, and, he made the right call. Nobody deserved to be fired.
Knowing the episodes were pre-taped, I didn’t expect anything to be said, but I’m glad NBC did make an announcement at the end.
You’re an idiot. Trump said to Cyndi Lauper “See, I have a heart” when he didn’t fire anybody. How does that correlate to him having a heart for not firing Bret and Brets current condition? As you said, it was taped a while back.
Bret is the hardest working one on that show. Each week the project manager delegates more to Bret than anyone else.
I dont watch much TV anymore. But I do watch Donald Trumps shows, American Idol, and Chef Ramseys shows. I did watch all of Undercover Boss online. Was hard to watch celebrity apprentice though knowing what Bret is going though.
My very faverite show is reruns of Little House on the Prairie. Wish there was this kind of programing today. I am just not into all these constant murder based prime time shows.
you sure watch a lot of shows for someone who doesn’t watch TV.
Bret, Sharon and Trumpf are the show. He is an amazing guy, compassionate, good looking and smart. I wish his family and he a speedy recovery.
I have been a fan of Bret’s since the late 80′s and have always followed his career. I have watched every episode this season because of him. Last night’s episode was the best so far!
I watched the regular aprentice for a couple seasons, then drifted after it started getting dull and boring, but Bret has truly brought back that momentum that it needs. I’m not a rock star fan but that guy is smart, very talented and funny. I wish him
a speedy recovery, he is in my prayers!
