Image Credit: Mike Yarish/FoxHouse‘s season 6 finale airs in less than a month, so what better time to get executive producer Katie Jacobs on the horn for a quick status report on Huddy, Luddy, and all things in between? That was meant as a rhetorical question but I’ll go ahead and answer it anyway: There is no better time, silly!
Last year at this time, House was exhibiting the early signs of a complete mental breakdown. What’s his emotional journey as this season winds down?
KATIE JACOBS: Considering the fact that he’s not on Vicodin, things have been going as well as they could possibly go. He’s living with Wilson, and I think that’s helpful. And he’s really making an effort to hold it together. It sort of seems like in every episode there’s a new revelation about how well he really is doing. How is he faring just taking ibuprofen for the pain? Is that working? In episode 17 he was stuck in that room for two hours with David Strathairn and we found out he is in pain. And from now until the end of the season, there’s going to be something that challenges House’s [sobriety] in almost every episode.
Wilson’s ex-wife returning being one of those things?
JACOBS: Yes. If that relationship progresses to the point where they want to live together, what does that mean for House? Does he stay or does he go? Also, some things from [his] past are going to come back and maybe present themselves as an opportunity for him to connect to someone else, and it’s not going to work out so well. Everybody but House is sort of taking a step toward, coupling up or at least trying to. Wilson with Sam, Cuddy with Lucas, and earlier in the season there was Foreman with his brother. And little by little House is going to find that he’s pretty much on his own again.
Let’s talk about the Huddy of it all. Back in February, David Shore confirmed that House and Cuddy would eventually hook up. Fans, of course, are growing impatient.
JACOBS: I understand the fans’ point of view, but the relationship between Cuddy and Lucas offers Cuddy some really important things: companionship, shared responsibility of Rachel, and they have a nice time together. What I think fans are responding to is that they don’t feel that relationship provides everything Cuddy can have. I would say watch for [an answer to this question]: Is that relationship going to work for Cuddy? Because it’s a lot of good things but it’s not everything. But no relationship is. How long will that work for Cuddy? Will it work permanently or will it not work?
I can’t tell you how many emails I receive a day from fans who just want Lucas gone.
JACOBS: They don’t want her to settle for anyone less than House. And that’s something she has to wrestle with. Is this really going to work for her? Is this going to be the relationship? And we know that’s on everyone’s minds. It’s on our minds as well.
Would it be fair to say she’s going to come to some sort of decision about that before the end of the season?
JACOBS: It’s addressed, so far as, “Okay, am I going to make this work with Lucas? Can I stay with Lucas?” It is going to be addressed by the end of the season whether or not she thinks she can.
You hinted earlier that someone from House’s past comes back. Is it a former love?
JACOBS: I won’t address that. But I will say that one of the things that we haven’t shown, but that’s been ongoing, is his treatment with Dr. Nolan [Andre Braugher]. Just because he’s been out of the hospital doesn’t mean that he doesn’t have regular therapy session. We haven’t shown that, and you’ll see that.
Thirteen and Taub’s three-year fellowships are due to expire at season’s end. Will that be addressed?
JACOBS: Boy, you’re so smart. I don’t know. I really don’t know. I will say there’s a mystery at the end of this season with one of our characters. Oh, that’s so vague.
Can you be a little more specific?
JACOBS: [Hesitates] In the final episode there’s an unanswered question with one of our actors and it’s a mystery that will play out over next season.
Yikes! Who do you think Jacobs is referring to? And care to weigh in on Cuddy’s big season-ending decision? Hit the comments!

The mystery is…
Is 13 really a woman.
LMAO
Well, Foreman should know.
Oh, goodness, that made my dad too Sandra.
The mystery does involve 13. She submits her resignation in the end. But obviously, we can drop the A bomb and she still won’t die.
She’s like a cockroach! She’ll outlive us all.
She is awesome, that’s why.
Lol awesome XD. Ooo huddy Thirteen might resign? Awesome finally woot! Maybe Cameron can come back now
.
Lucas proposed and Cuddy has to decide whether or not to say yes. Duh. Seems likes she will say yes and we have to deal with more crappy Luddy next season.
I want Lucas gone. Now.
Agreed!
Lucas is gonna die!
I hope so, as a matter of fact, I’ll volunteer to be the killer.
Advice to KJacobs, DShore & Aussiello:
A. Huddy is a strong element to the show’s success. Stop F-ing it up.
B. we miss Andre B & House chats. (looking forward to Cuddy/Dr. Nolan exchange accdg to spoiler photos)
C. Doc House + ibuprofin – Cuddy = Boring
D. Mucas, er Lucas is DULL and feels like FILLER material. Yuck.
E. Why so infatuated w 13? Pretty but not really interesting personality. Cut her screen time in half and split it among Taub and Cuddy.
F. Can Amber’s death be a dream or hallucination? We miss her.
I’m just sayin’….
Hey don’t speak for everybody.
I’m glad Amber is gone. I don’t miss her. I like Thirteen better.
Not Taub please, the show is pretty boring if focused on him.
I agree with spoilerchicka! I really like the idea of Amber coming back from the “dead”. I mean I know it’s not daytime soap oprea but really why not?? It would be a great twist/ suprise to the show!
I think both Thirteen and Taub have gotten more interesting. I think the original three ducklings have too. I find Chase likeable for really the first time since I started watching the show. And I like seeing Foreman show vulnerability (with his brother, when he was high in the lockdown, etc).
Also love the deepening friendships House has with his team members. He can’t deny it any longer. Particularly his love fest with Chase.
I think I may be the only one who likes Lucas, and that may be because I find the thought of “Huddy” (barf) revolting.
You’re not the only one. I really like Lucas and I think that he and Cuddy are absolutely wonderful together. The whole House/Cuddy thing was a HORRIBLE idea from the start, I honestly don’t see how anyone could see anything in that relationship.
I love Lucas!!!! Although I’m slightly biased because i just really love the actor who plays him.. but who cares. Lucas is great
I sort of agree. I liked Lucas more before he was with Cuddy, but I still like him now and was thrilled when he re-appeared. I don’t get the whole Huddy thing though. I would lose all respect that I have for Cuddy if they began a relationship.
Thank you! I agree with you as well. I hate the idea of House and Cuddy. Honestly how can anyone think that would play out in even a remotely positive way?
Thank you! I like Lucas and Cuddy together, and it’s not because I’m a “Hilson” as many people like to call me here. I don’t think House and Cuddy would ever be good for each other. He’s got too many issues, and a woman with a baby doesn’t need that baggage.
Everyone goes on and on about how “immature” Lucas acts, but honestly, maybe Cuddy likes a little idiotic humor in her life. But yes, let’s shove her with someone more mature (ha!) like House. His maturity has surely gotten him well liked by his peers. He’s not miserable at all.
Agreed. I despise the thought of House and Cuddy getting together, and I’m sick to DEATH of people like Ausiello implying that the majority of fans want Huddy to happen.
Truth is, the majority of fans DO NOT WANT HUDDY. I think the fact that it hasn’t happened yet makes it clear that TPTB are aware of that fact.
No you’re not the only one. I think Huddy is also revolting and I’m sick of hearing about them in every spoiler chat.
You are so not the only one! Lucas is great, and the thought of House and Cuddy together makes me want to heave.
When I read these comments I wonder if it’s possible for any of you guys (for or against “Huddy”) to recognize the possibility of liking or disliking a character regardless of who he or she is paired with. Everyone’s reasoning seems to go along the lines of, “I hate Lucas because he’s with Cuddy and House should be! Let’s kill him!” or “I hate Cuddy because everyone wants to see her get with House! Get rid of her already!”
I think Lucas can be an entertaining character, and I don’t believe he will stay with Cuddy forever and I don’t think any of you guys do either. So why all the outrage?
Yes, I agree!!! What Cuddy needs is a selfish, self-centered semi-deranged, drug addict who is vicious, cruel, manipulative, and hateful. Heck, every woman needs that in her life! Especially if she has a small child that the guy hates the thought of!
He’s not selfish and self centered. Remember “Euphoria” when Foreman got sick and he was scared to death? And he’s worried about Wilson. House can care about other people. We’ve seen that on dozens of occasions. We’re all a little deranged if you really think about it. He’s clean now. He’s not vicious or cruel, he is a man. Men hide their feelings behind a mask of indifference. House is no different. And he does not hate Rachel, or the thought of her. He wants to be her dad-figure. He wants to have a kid with Cuddy (season 3, he implied he wanted Cuddy to choose him as a donor, and she almost did) and if that kid happens to be Rachel, so be it.
You’re all looking at this like “omg look how he acts toward her”… have you seen how boys treat girls that they like? Get a life and stop hating something that’s been part of the story since the very beginning. And if you don’t like it, I assume you know how to change the channel.
kiwi, have you seen the movie he’s just not that into you? house is an a-hole to Cuddy because he is an a-hole. He’s not just making her life miserable 90 percent of the time because he likes her but because that’s what he does. He has a screwed up thought process where the ends always justify the means if the means are somewhat good. He has no problem with lying, cheating, stealing, manipulation, or sabotage. He is very good at lashing out, he’s already kissed her (outside of the hallucination) and they had sex in college so it’s a little late to play the whole schoolboy crush card. The fact that he can’t manage to approach things like a grown up points to the fact that his behavior towards her is not the result of his emotions but of his character, which will not change in a relationship.
I find the chemistry and tension between them interesting so I love to watch it, but I think Cuddy has already made the right decision about their chances in a relationship.
Oh come one, what’s with the “Hating” bit. That’s something a 12 year old says when you say something mean about their favorite boy band, not about a character in an adult drama. I LOVE the character of House, he’s a fabulous character to watch. But he’s not romance, boyfriend, partner, husband, father material in any manner whatsoever. Yes, it’s true that in tweener romance novels the “wuv of a good woman” can always turn the bad boy around. In adult drama, not so much. Cuddy should run like the wind.
Kiwi, grow up. This isn’t Twilight and I agree with Ang that the whole “OMG!11!! Ur such a h8ter!!11!” is so immature.
When are TPTB going to realize that most Huddy fans are still in middle and high school?
Jools you should grow up. I think you are still in middle or high school. It’s only a tv series… And I’m in high school and I’m a Huddy fan. So what? At least I’m not as childish as you are.
Maybe Frank Potente will come back… One can wish right?
Whoops, Franka.
I hope not. That storyline is stupid.
I know I read something a while back about her at least dropping in. The storyline was a little dumb, but I love Potente, in anything, period.
I don’t know if she was supposed to drop in or just the be mentioned.
I hope Franka comes back too, I like her character, and I like her as an actress. The storyline was great, so much better than any of this Huddy stuff.
Yes, but if Lydia was actually interested in a relationship with House, she’d have to turn into a whiny dishrag, because the writers don’t seem to know how to do anything else…
Yes! Please bring Lydia back! The episode with her was the best House episode ever!
Nooo please no that will totally ruin House and make it a soap opera! Especially if the baby blind item is related to that…since I doubt their sex was protected sex >_<.
I hope she doesn´t come back. Her character ruined Broken and Lockdown for me. I hated what House became around her, it was totally OOC. She is not the kind of woman House would fall in love. I just don´t buy that crap.
This season is disappointing. Thanks God we have pretty good Hilson scenes and Chase without Cameron is just amazing to watch. The rest just meh.
Another bitter shipper not getting that they want. Boo-hoo.
I agree. And the only way I can think of that Lydia could possibly come back could come back (with House’s baby… ick) would kill the show’s ratings. And besides, the whole reason she left at the end of Broken was so she could support her sister-in-law. Why come back when her family needs her more than some guy she barely knows?
She IS the kind of woman House could fall in love with because he DID. He was more in character in Broken than he has been this entire season. House has turned into someone I don’t even recognize.
Good lord, she’s annoying. We leared absolutely nothing new from this interview.
*learned*
that’s exactly what i thought while reading! so obnoxious!
Katie Jacobs should really stop doing interviews. She’s absolutely awful. House is in pain? Really? Like he has been since S1? And more Luddy and 13 to look forward to. Whoopee. Shore and Jacobs remind me of Nero fiddling while Rome burns, as the ratings continue to decline week after week.
Exactly, Kate. What is House averaging now, 10 million viewers? That’s pretty pathetic, what with Criminal Minds, Castle, The Good Wife etc pulling 14.5 million, and NCIS 20+ million, regularly. Not to mention all those shows are BETTER than House, though there was a time when House was on par. How the mighty have fallen…
You’d think tanking ratings would be a wake up call, but I guess KJ and DS haven’t heard the news, what with their heads so far up their a$$es.
“Exactly, Kate. How the mighty have fallen…”
There was a time when House was actually way better than those aformentioned shows. Back in the good old days I was hooked on the brilliant series – hook, line & sinker. I couldn’t miss an episode! Meanwhile I liked NCIS but I could take it or leave it. These days I cannot miss NCIS (although this season has been a tad inconsistent) but House, meh. It really is a shadow of it’s former self. This season is better than last, but that’s still not saying much.
I like Criminal Minds and House. House is more interesting than boring Greys and crappy Private Practice.
I think she was just trying to prepare fans for more of Lucas.
True, and this is weird since she’s the only one who likes Lucas!
exactly
Who cares about some mystery next season? I don’t even watch THIS season anymore.
*signed*
Then why are you commenting and complaining?
Its fun.
I feel the same way as you , but I’m quite interested in the ” mystery ” for the next season , maybe I’ll watch House full time again , as long as the ” mystery ” , though it sounds good , does not interfer with the medical stories .
I AGREE!
then GTFO.
Lisa, STFU.
I think House wants to know his bio-dad.
I hope not. I don’t want to deal with more stupid House drama.
lol the show is called HOUSE.
Katie, doncha know? – they changed it to “Cuddy”
You’re right, that’s probably it. Good point.
The mystery is whether Cuddy accepts Lucas’ proposal. When is KJ going to get it through her thick head that people despise Lucas and that no one believe this contrived Luddy. Fans are not going along for this rude. Instead they despise Luddy being pushed down their throats and have started fleeing to other shows like Castle. You only have to look at the show’s ratings to find out how unpopular Lucas is.
Agreed. The ratings have tanked this season.
It’s not Lucas that sent me to Castle. It’s the combination of Huddy/Thirteen/Foreman/bad writing/getting rid of Cameron.
The writing is pure soap opera and they got rid of the characters I liked (Amber and Cameron) and focussedon the ones I have zero interest in (Thirteen, Foreman,Cuddy).
I agree. It is all the soap opera crap that sent me running away.
thank you ! that is exactly why I stopped watching.
Shore once said he sucks at writing romance and I think it was the smartest thing he’s ever said. This show should never be about romance and especially not childish romance like the Huddy,Thirteen+”insert any character here” ,etc.
Also,Cameron was way better than Cuddy ,13,Foreman and Chase. Her character was the only one to positively and clearly evolve during the seasons AND thanks to House’s influence.
where in season 6 do you see a huddy-romance?
I think you don’t even know what a soap is…Watch B&B.
THIS. The ratings have tanked for a reason, and I don’t know why these people are so complacent they think they don’t need to do anything about it. They think ratings have just dropped a bit because Huddy fans are frustrated, and they’ll come back up when they get Huddy in a romantic relationship. But GUESS WHAT? HUDDY KINDA SUCKS. Its childish soap opera plus Foreteen, Thirteen, and sidelining Chase/Cameron (as CHARACTERS, not a couple), and finally getting RID of Cameron all have contributed to killing this show. I’ll be surprised if they last beyond season 7 or 8. That’s why I think it’s stupid to change the credits – they can’t last that much longer, the way they’re going.
House is not a soap opera. Get over your dramatics.
THIS.
Huddy fans need to quit assuming that the problem with the ratings is because everyone hates Lucas and wants House and Cuddy together. They couldn’t be more wrong. The ratings slide is due to fallout from season 5′s emphasis on 13/Foreman and House and Cuddy’s asinine and juvenile BS. The writing on this show has gone downhill and if TPTB spent more time on the quality of the show instead of sucking up to/pissing off the fans, it would still be a great show.
House needs to lose the soap opera crap and go back to being a smart drama like it used to. Until that happens, the ratings will continue to slide.
ada22, i know you’ve stopped watching, but i hope you’ll be happy to hear that Chase, Foreman, Taub, and Wilson are all positively evolving more this season than ever, and in all cases partially due to House’s influence. House is also positively evolving as well.
Rating are down because only huddies cares about huddy!
Then wouldn’t they be up? Because there’s been no Huddy for most of the season.
Nope, because a lot of people gave up thinking it would be a huddy season
@Fi is 100% correct. Huddies need to get their heads out of their self-centered and egotistical a$$es and realize that people do not want Huddy and the threat of it last season sent people away in droves.
What excuse will the Huddies use when DS gets House/Cuddy together and the ratings still suck?
Well, you can certainly find the Cameron fans in these comments. Basically the non Huddies are huge fans of Lucas and Cuddy and of course when she is with Lucas, she is not with House. David Shore already said that if House can be with anyone, it’s Cuddy.
Um, LucasHater, thanks for telling me what I am. So because I’m a non-Huddy fan, therefore I’m a Luddy fan? WRONG! I’m not a fan of the way they are writing this Huddy romance, or this Luddy romance (because Luddy is OBVIOUSLY just a way to keep Huddies watching), and I’m sick of the Thirteen drama and House becoming all soft and feeling ish, and the departure of Cameron so that Snoreman and Taub (why is he still here? He’s funny sometimes, but really boring too)can just take up screen time whining. Call me bitter, but you’ll be more bitter when this show ends because no one is watching.
And Katie Jacobs once said in an interview that House could end up with anyone by the end of the series. It’s all up in the air. Just because Shore said Cuddy at some point, that doesn’t mean it will be with whom he ends up forever.
This is Shore and Jacobs we’re talking about, too. You have to take whatever they say with a truckload of salt. Half of the time, they are talking out of their asses.
Sing it, Emma!!
The show already upset Cameron fans and Huddy fans. Next they are working on 13 fans and Hilson fans.
Thirteen is the Mary Sue of David Shore. She will never go away. She will never be a background character like Chase, Cameron and Taub.
Chase has dialogue and storyline.
I don’t know what show you’re watching.
Chase has enough screen time.
Camerone is gone (thank god) and Taub is a total bore. (He is only good for small inputs.)
This interview is just crap… Nothing new!
*haters
When the show started pushing Cuddy to the forefront is when I lost my respect for her. Cuddy/Huddy/Luddy — all three turn me off the show. She was a better character when she was a boss and not an emo neurotic.
House is in pain — she thinks this is a scoop? When has House *not* been in pain? Never. It’s either emotional or physical. Yawn.
I wish there was some place I could bet that Thirteen is not leaving at the end of three years. That would be the easiest money I’ve ever made.
I bet 13 is not leaving either, even though her character bores me. Then again, all the characters now bore me.
I agree with your last two points, but how has Cuddy been in the forefront this season? Apart from one episode(5 to 9), she’s had little to no screentime. ‘Emo neurotic’? Huh?
That is the worst part of Lucas: it makes Cuddy have less screentime and when she is on, it seems pointless.
It’s because there’s so little chemistry or even logic to Cuddy’s relationship with Lucas – how do you write for something that stupid? Whether you like or hate Huddy, Cuddy used to be an interesting character. Now she’s just a waste of screen time – what little she has.
Luddy is a character assassination of Cuddy’s character. This show does not know how to write romance. Even worse, they don’t know how to write strong women. In what universe would you see a Dean of Medicine dating a low-life PI that acts like a pre-pubescent teenager and say he’s a reliable man. This is such bullcrap. It makes more sense for her to date the janitor who wears his pants backward than this moron. This interview just proves that Katie Jacobs has no idea about what the fandom thinks and that she’s constantly lying to the fans.
These last few seasons have been assassintations of Cuddy’s character, not just Lucas. I used to LOVE her and her power-play banter with House. But as soon as she started pining after him, I was SO DONE. This show should just quit while it’s ahead, because everyone’s getting pissed. Katie Jacobs is pissing a lot of people off – they’re acting like everything’s all fine, when really they should be starting to worry. Not that they’re not pleasing the fans with their storylines, but that their characters and writing now suck.
Huddy, in what universe would you see a Dean of Medicine wearing clothes like that, acting like a 12 year old, making her disabled EMPLOYEE (subordinate) climb 4 flights of stairs, steal his cane, and put a tripwire in his doorway?
In what world does this person want to get involved with a screwed up man who sees her daughter as competition?
In what world does Huddy make more sense than Luddy?
To Bushy It makes sense in the fictional world of TV. Otherwise House’s presence on the show makes no sense either. It’s TV, not real life…..
I’ve never cared about Huddy (don’t like it, so why care), and right now I don’t even care about Cuddy anymore they’ve ruined her character beyond repair anyway imo. But I’ve got one request to KJ: If you get rid of Lucas (I like him btw), could he please take 13 with him?
yes, Cuddy was ruined by Huddy/Luddy/baby drama. She used to be a nice strong woman administrator and now she’s just a sad, weak woman who doesn’t know what she wants, acts totally childish when it comes to her feelings and can’t take care of her baby.
It’s very strange how the writers see true love. I mean, remember last season when House was on that thing ,methadone or whatever? Cuddy was totally pathetic there as love interest. I mean,it was shown that she actually likes this idyllic image of House, she can’t handle and doesn’t want to handle the damaged man that he is,she’d rather he *changed* . Cameron at least understood ,kinda like Wilson, that house doesn’t need to change cause he’s not a bad man,he needs real emotional support and patience.
Anyway,no romance would have been best in all cases,ALL.
Lol, that´s why Cameron always wanted to change House. It was so good for him that he had her figured out in season 1 and pushed her away. Well, the show pushed her away.
Sorry but i can´t stand Cameron (and btw i´m not a huddy).
You know, you have a point here. Cameron and Wilson are very much alike. Always knew what House should be like but just wasn’t. Always nagging and lecturing and providing false but convincing psych analysis so the audience knew what to make of it. Well Wilson does it in a fun way but Cameron was illusional and annoying. Remember her pathetic speech when she left and said goodbye to House? Bleh. I actually felt sorry for the fans out there although I never liked her. Good riddance to her. The show doesn’t need her anymore since super 13 has taken her place.
13 has not taken Cameron’s place cuz they are nothing alike.
Cameron was the only person who took House as he was.
Cuddy and Wilson were the ones who always tried to change him.
Her departure affected House or did you not notice how he started to go after her once she left his office.
Foreman is boring,Taub is boring and Chase is insignificant and 13 on her best day in moderately interesting at best.
The team sucks and quiet frankly so does the season.
Only reason I’m hanging on is for Hugh Laurie
Cameron is gone. Move on.
Move on to what?
This season is the worse so far,and if you haven’t heard she’s coming back for some episodes next season
Point made. Cuddy is a problem for so many because she is not Cameron. If Cameron was the love interest of House then all her fans would love the relationship and be so understanding of how House treats everyone. Sorry, but if you want pathetic, look at Cameron’s behavior toward House , always trying to change him and the puppy dog looks…. How was House supposed to take that seriously? So here is the bottom line of this whole debate. If you are a Huddy or a fan of Cuddy, you like it. If you are a Hameron or a Cameron fan you don’t. Seems like a pointless argument.
Shore and Jacobs did something I never dreamed possible – made me despise the character of Cuddy. When I see her now all I can think about is her making House drive three hours to a non existent Thanksgiving dinner, or putting a trip wire in his office, or switching his Vicodin with laxatives, or most of all being with that sophmoric immature boytoy who someone like her wouldn’t give the time of day to. They’ve not only forced a boring character down our throats for three seasons now, 13, with frontburner storylines, but they’ve diminished a strong female character to a point that she’s unrecognizable.
Most likely you lost respect for Cuddy when it became clear to everyone that she was indeed House’s love interest and always had been. Emo neurotic? Seriously?
Oh. My. God. Lucas Hater, will you just seriously open your eyes and see the world around you. House’s love interest has NOT ALWAYS BEEN HUDDY. Look at this from a network/writers point of view (not like the characters are real people – because they’re NOT). They decided to test out House/Cuddy potentially. Some fans went crazy. They keep going. Some more fans go crazy. They think this equals success, so they re-write history. I’m sorry, but if you watch early episodes, Cuddy is so NOT the love of House’s life. He’s been ditched by Stacey, who he clearly still has feelings for, and Cameron’s there (even if you don’t like her, they did actually write this. House asked her out on a date, after all). Cuddy was sexually attractive to him. Now they’re trying to rewrite everything. Doesn’t mean it’s true.
Whatever. Think whatever you want, but the show’s gonna tank soon with all this Huddy nonsense.
J- I’m not denying they wrote House/Cameron because they definitely did. But he didn’t really ask her out, she blackmailed him into it.
Agree with you about Cuddy not always being the love of his life though.
Fi – I’m guessing J was referring to the time House asked her out to the monster trucks. She most definitely was not blackmailing him then.
Sing it J!!! I couldn’t agree more.
LucasHater, you need to pay attention. You cannot seriously have watched the past 5 seasons and with a straight face say that Cuddy has always been the love of House’s life.
The writers retconned their entire history to suit a small faction of the fans. BIG MISTAKE as they are now finding out.
So true. Cuddy is so boring right now. Why would House want to be with her? Nope. As for 13, well, they want to advance her career at the expense of the show. Boring to the highest degree. The show lost many viewers when they put her on the forefront, but obviously, they don’t care. So many story lines this season is just ridiculous. I really don’t care about 13, Chase/Cameron, Taub’s infidelities or any other nonsense. I don’t like soap operas. This was a good show with great writing. What happened? Where is House MD? I want it back. Hugh Laurie is still great, but cannot save all the crap that has been going on for three years now.
When are they going to realize that Luddy is boring? I would say everyone hates Luddy, but then all the Hilson fans will have to post on here that Luddy rules.
I think Cuddy would be better off with Lucas then with House. House is going to make her miserable and it makes her look stupid to keep wanting him.
Hilson or Hameron
Adult female. House should not be with anyone as screwed up as he is.
(But since you asked, I’d like to see Wilson with Cameron. I think they’ve got the best shot at making a mature relationship work. But then, this show isn’t about adult relationships, it’s about the selfish and the soap opera.)
I’m with you on that one. And for Francis, I’m not a shipper, my opinion about ships: leave ships to fanfiction, please. Huddy fan, Francis?
I am so with you on this! Btw, yes, I am a shipper (of multiple pairings), but only in fanfic. I’m pretty sure I’d hate House hooking up with anyone on the show itself.
I think whoever is put into a romantic relationship with Cuddy gets ruined as a character. Cuddy was ruined by being tagged as House’s interest ,House is pathetic when he’s pinning over her and Lucas became some pod person ,boring as HELL.
@Ange, I liked House/Cameron(mind u,not some hardcore fan,not into ships in general so don’t u call me bitter) because I think she turned out to be a combination of House and Wilson (which is what House needs). She has Wilson’s patience and kindness and liking of House combined with some of the emotional damage and turmoil House has so she understands him,she can handle him and she could offer him what he emotionally needs. But…I guess TPTB don’t agree.
Francis, stop projecting your own bitterness.
Francis, grow up. Why do Huddies think that EVERYONE that isn’t a Huddy is a Hameron or a Hilson? How juvenile.
I am a Hilson fan and I DO think that season 6 Luddy is boring! (I like Lucas/Cuddy in Season 5)
THIS! I’m an H/Cu fan, but I liked Lucas/Cuddy in Season 5. This Season 6 version of Lucas is unbearable.
I like Hilson, too, and I find Luddy scenes to be SO boring.
LOL I’m not shipping any of the pairings and I prefer Cuddy with Lucas. Stop assuming everything.
This makes 3 of you with Jacobs and Shore! Great group!
same here.
“I will say there’s a mystery at the end of this season with one of our characters.”
Oh, really? Duh. It’s 13, of course. Where’s the big mystery here? It’s ALWAYS 13. Give her a spin off show already. Meh.
Maybe it’s not Thirteen , maybe it’s somebody we thought we knew and had figured out , but it turns out we didn’t .
I think none of the characters are figured out by the audience and that what makes House MD still intriguing as a show. I just get so sick with the 13 character because she’s constantly in my face. I can’t watch an ep without being reminded of her annoying superiour behaviour and she really starts bugging me now. She was like everywhere in the last ep. I expect her to be Houses healer, Wilsons confide, Superdoc, Cameron improved and – eww! – coupling up with Chase because wow they’re both oh so pretty. Wait, wasn’t that what happened to Chase and Camerons characters? History repeats itself. I love Chase as a character and the actor is superb. Why not giving him some time with House? They’re both lonely now. Plus, the actors sparkle. Each moment with the two of them made me keep watching. Their chemistry should be used more often. Just saying.
The writers on this show aren’t that creative.
I SO agree, Nadia. I honestly thought Chase rarely had much to do in early seasons because the actor wasn’t that great. I didn’t realize until this season that he’s actually pretty talented and can totally bring up a scene even when the writing’s just so-so. (And here I thought they just hired him because he was cute…okay, maybe that was why, but it was a good investment, LOL)
Agree. And, I’m pretty sure OW also mentioned in an interview. So the Finale is about her? Not surprised, after all this is 13 MD now, Please, what a joke!
The House execs do not care about what the fans want. When is everyone going to learn that?
Loosing interest fast in House! They don’t seem to be writing to their strengths. Fans hate Lucas, he calls his partner a ‘bitch’…i mean come on! This finale better rock is all i’m saying or i will be forced to walk off in a huff.
