Tom rocks. He is having a good time and it shows. He smiles at the camera like he is sharing a private joke with the audience. He is the best host on any show, just above the Probster.

I’m not all that excited about this season and I’m so, so, SO glad that Mrs. Gosselin is GONE -but Tom is the one that is making this palatable – not to mention the hilarious Niecy.
And I think Brooke is doing a great job (although last night was the first night she faltered at all…)

I love Tom!! He is my all-time favorite host. There is no one funnier without being obnoxious!
I just want to say exactly the same thing that Matt2 said:
Besides being hilarious, Tom Bergeron is an entertainer who is graceous, humble, and quick witted. He delivers some great comebacks to the judges critiques, is very solid as the show leader, and a wonderful host of the dancing stars competition. One simple, humble and powerful thing he has done every time DWTS has come up number one in total tv viewers for the week is acknowledge the audience and thank the viewers for making the show the #1 program on tv. Nice touch but I wouldn’t expect anything less from someone with such tremendous character and esteem.
I honestly think that Tom is the best host on television right now and I think that he and Brooke havea good chemistry. All I can say is that the best thing the producers ever did was get rid of Samantha. I stopped watching last season because I couldn’t stand listening to her every week. I think Brooke is great and I have been a much more devoted fan this season.
This is the first year I watched the show, but always liked Tom Bergeron. You can tell the judges dislike some of the dancers. Len does not like Derek he is a great dancer and Len still sounds real nasty with his comments to him all the time. You also can tell who they like. I think Pam get higher marks then she deserves because of her bazookas. I was glad to see Kate go but liked Jake he really tried and improved each week. Tom really makes the show and is easy on the eyes.
I still don’t understand how Nicole and Evan are grouped together when people mention the celebs this season with advantage. Evan is a figure skater and Nicole danced with PCD. Hardly a comparison. Why not just say Chad has dance experience because of his touchdown “dances”. Someone please explain!
Melissa, In reality Erin and Nicole have more in common. They both have had to learn dance routines, Erin as a collegiate dance team member and Nicole with PCD. There is an element of ballet in figure skating which is the dance connection with Evan. NONE of the three have ever had any ballroom experience. Ballroom is totally different than anything any of them have done before. To call Erin, Nicole, or Evan and professional ballroom dancer is ridiculous! Whoever does well is based on who works the hardest that week and which professional partner choreographs the best dance.
Thanks, I agree. I became an Evan fan during the Olympics, because of the drama with the Russian skater. I get a little ticked off when people say it wouldn’t be fair for him to win because of his advantage. I agree that it’s an advantage because Olympians/athletes are used to training hard, but that doesn’t mean they’ll be good. You’re right about the choreography. Sometimes I think celebs would get further with different partners. I’m worried Anna puts in too many spins for Evan. That doesn’t work in every dance… obviously.
Tom has been brilliant this season! His quick wit and quips have added a needed sense of humor to the show this season. Can’t say the same for his co-host. Brooke is no fun. She stumbles, interupts, appears stoically plastic and staged every week. Hoped she would get better, but no! The natural chemistry Melissa Rycroft and Tom have does not exist with Brooke. So sad the producers missed a great opportunity!
“I tend to pick on the people I’m closest with because I know they know it’s not personal.” That explains the running jokes about and with Maksim C. Those two seem to be good buds as well. I agree, Tom’s greatest charm is that he’s authentic and humble. No smarmy ego in this guy. Loves me some Tom B.
Has anybody thought of putting together a dvd of the best dances since season one? I can’t get enough of your show. Watched Evan’s Tango 50 times. Would certainly purchase.
Tom is the best and the show would not be the same without him – but please bring back Samantha Harris – those two together are “untouchable”. Brooke finds it hard to ad-lib and is too timid. Yeh Tom, you are such a kind person when the Judges have their “moments”………..we love you!!
Brooke is TERRIBLE as co-host: Poor posture, hand on hip, too scripted. I hope she will be replaced next season.

what they really need is the “merergue dog!” If you have not seen this go to utube. How do we get her on the show???
I have also noticed that Brooke is very natural before the cameras ….. And that she studied broadcast journalism and has a degree or so put on your resume! Also someone should have taught him to be more humble and not wanting to have as much desire to prominence because being a TV-Host is not about that but the show should not be focused on it but the contestants.
