Newman will play an accomplished lawyer from a rival law firm who possesses a killer instinct.
In other Drop Dead second-season casting news, Gilmore Girls alum Emily Kuroda (a.k.a. Mrs. Kim!) has been cast as the mother of Margaret Cho’s character, Teri. Additionally, Robin Givens will play a mean-spirited cosmetics lab exec who accuses Jane’s (Brooke Elliott) client of wrongdoing.
DDD‘s second season premieres on June 6.
I can’t wait!! I love DDD, but I kinda was hoping Jaime Ray would go back to Eureka, though I suppose the differing schedules could still make that happen.

It sounded like she will be in at least 4 episodes of Eureka this year. Hope it isn’t just a way to brush her off. I was hoping for a new permanent cast member. She got under Carter’s skin and it was great! Like Gina says, Carter needs a girlfriend!

I loved her on Eureka. I wish she would return to that show, because I love her and Carter together, so much more than Carter/Allison…but maybe a 4 show arc, will turn into something more, b/c she was great.
