Scoop: Mary Lynn Rajskub makes time for 'Royal Pains'

A new day has dawned for 24‘s Mary Lynn Rajskub.

In what marks her first post-24 gig, the actress has signed on to guest star in the June 10 episode of the USA Network smash Royal Pains as Newberg’s stepdaughter (Christine Ebersole).

“I play a girl who does yoga on diet pills,” Rajskub announced earlier today via Twitter.

Pains‘ second season kicks off June 3.

The real question: how soon can she return to Gail the Snail?

  • Garry

That photo…I won’t be able to stand upright for a week.

I always liked Chloe best when she went psycho and shot that guy a few seasons ago. Mary should consider doing an action role in the future!

  • Allie

i agree baby jane!! hopefully in the 24 movie she’ll have some action scenes! girl power!!

One of the best and highly overlooked sketch comedies ever. :)

Well, I’m glad to see her get a guest spot on “Royal Pains”, but I’d REALLY like to see her return to “It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia” as Gail the Snail!

    I love her!

Always happy to see Chloe! But wonder why EW doesn’t allow us to “report” these stupid “seeking uniform’ and “my boyfriend broke up with me and I’m hot and lonely
” postings! C’mon EW…either monitor these boards better, or let the rest of us ‘report’ these postings to you!

    • BlatantURLPimpingMustDie

ITA – EW does precious little to monitor the spam.

So pumped for this! She’s a mainstay on 24 and probably my favorite character next to Jack (hot too).

I hope she keeps that same edge that she has with Chloe. Seeing her jawing with Dr. Hank would be awesome.
