Exclusive: '90210' star goes gay for 'True Blood'

michael-steger_dImage Credit: Patrick EcclesineMichael Steger is going from being surrounded by metaphorical bloodsuckers to literal ones: The 90210 actor has been tapped to guest star on True Blood, sources confirm to me exclusively.

Steger will play Tony, a gay prostitute who gets picked up by King of Mississippi Russell Edgington (Denis O’Hare) because of his resemblance to his current steady, Talbot (Theo Alexander).

Steger will appear in one episode of the drama’s upcoming third season and may return on a recurring basis in season 4. Sounds like someone may have discovered a loophole in his 90210 contract. Or maybe not. According to a 90210 insider, there are no plans for Steger to leave the show.

    Navid eh? Meh.

So wait, the Queen of Louisiana is a 19 year old fox, while the King of Mississippi is an old fart. Just another wonderful side effect of living in a patriarchal society, right?

  • Ana

    Nice… He’s very cute!!

  • Kary

    Aww i love him!

    Isn’t he a closet gay in 90210?

    • Will

      I still think so!

      • Chris

        I’m waiting 4 him & Teddy 2 hook up!

      • Mia

Teddy is way too old for him. I swear everytime I see Teddy with Silver it looks like she is having a fling with a much older man. Ryan O’Neal should be playing his brother not father.

i remember when his character on 90210 was going to end up gay but i guess his chemistry with adrianna changed that or maybe the change of executive producers on the show changed it. who knows. well cant wait for true blood!

that’s funny because ever since the WB & UPN merged that new channel became the mynetwork and the only way to get CW is on digital. not to mention HBO changed to digital as well. well i’m not going to upgrade from basic to standard to digital then have to pay for a digital converter box and on top of that pay for HBO just to watch some show. it’s terrible. feel proud of yourself cable. i mean Oceanic Time Warner Cable. too bad for them!!!

    • Eric

      Andy Rooney is that you?

      • ger

        Ha!

  • Ryan

Ew. Navid is without a doubt the most unfortunate looking male on 90210. Do not want!

    • Amanda

Hopefully he will be drained and tossed with a quickness!

    • Nicole

I have to respectfully disagree – I think Navid is adorable. Him, Liam, Ryan Matthews and the new teacher that Naomi tried to throw under the bus are the hottest men on the show imho. VERY excited he’s joining True Blood, hopefully for more than just one episode!

    • brody

Really? I think he’s hot, in an andro kinda way.

  • Scott

Hopefully, Navid will show his True Buns

Didn’t this guy play a home grown terrorist in an ep of Criminal Minds (season 4 “Mayhem”)?

    • Amy Leigh

Yes, he did. I remember seeing the episode (I think it was a re-run at the time) and yelling “Navid!” LOL

You mean this nearly thirty year old guy can actually play someone older than a pathetic teenager. Wow, look at that CW.

    • Miss Talk

Cory Montheith who plays Finn on Glee is only four years apart from Matt Morrison/Mr Schue who is 32. So, nothing akward here.
Otherwise, kudos to Navid. I think he should take that name. Michael is so common…

Cory and Mark Salling are both 27; most of the girls are 24. But it’s better than the original 90210 cast. Or the cast of Grease.
