Why didn’t the submit the Betty White SNL? It was the best of the season!!!

  • Mad Men

Parenthood really deserves a nomination. It’s turned into a really great series! And Lauren Graham deserves to be nominated.

  • LM

I noticed that they did not submit any of Conan’s “Tonight Show” episodes for consideration. So does this mean that CoCo is going to get screwed out of an Emmy this year because NBC refuses to submit him? I guess I shouldn’t be surprised, but it doesn’t make it any less wrong.

    • J

Shows necessarily don’t need their network to submit them as they can do it themselves. I’m sure that’s what Conan did.

  • MM

“Broad Channel”, btw, was a fantastic episode and deserves recognition. Keeping my fingers crossed!

    • Will

      Broad Channel was pathetic.

  • Bri

Perfect episode for Friday Night Lights. It’s my favourite of the entire series.

  • Chels725

I hope Community gets a nomination even though it’s unlikely. It really has turned out to be one of the best shows of the season. They did pick good episodes although they could’ve submitted The Science of Illusion or Debate 109 instead of the Pilot. Those were better episodes.

    • Ambee

Agreed. The pilot was definitely not one of its top two episodes.

      • Chels725

I get why they submitted the Pilot though. It introduces the voters to the show and the second episode submitted shows everything after it’s established. It makes sense but there are a bunch of episodes that are better than the Pilot.

    • dawnomite

Agreed, the Debate ep is one of my favorites and I quote it all the time.

    • Billiam

I strong disagree with Community’s choices. The show has been so much stronger lately than it was at first. And seeing the pilot isn’t really that important to understanding the show.

  • Lynn

Jimmy Fallon for an Emmy? You’re kidding, right?
Is this guy having an affair with Lorne Michaels to get THIS much recognition? He was never even funny on SNL, and suddenly he has his own show and now up for the Emmy’s?

    • Racehl

I love Jimmy. Just because you don’t think he is funny doesn’t mean other people don’t. I believe he DOES deserve an Emmy. Go Jimmy!

  • Levi

I’m so glad to see Parenthood in the mix.

  • mona

Parenthood is so awesome! The Pilot was good, but the episode “Solace” was my favorite yet! Im so impressed by the show!!

  • Josh

Community should submit Modern Warfare. If Danny Pudi isn’t nominated for an Emmy for that episode, it’d be a crime.

    • toonaspie

Indeed. My friend and I never laughed so hard in our lives when we were watching that episode…and it was very well written.

    • Chels725

Modern Warfare didn’t make it because of the mailing deadline but it still will probably make it on the formal submissions.

  • Jake

Exellent choice for Friday Night Lights – that was one of the most moving episodes they have ever produced. Doubtful it will get anything because since when have the Emmy voters paid any attention to it, but still, nice choice. I don’t watch any of these other shows, so no comment there.

  • Heather

“Broken” was the best House episode of that season. Easily. I think it’s also odd that they still submit stuff from Heroes…

  • bunker

Why didn’t Community submit the paintball episode?

    • Billiam

Please read other comments. And also the first paragraph of the article. Please read anything.

  • dryedmangoez

I think FNL’s submission is perfect. Strongest episode of season 4 that I’ve seen (haven’t seen the last couple of eps yet). It should also help boost Zach Gilford in the Guest Actor category? Hopefully?

The Parenthood pilot was excellent. The Office’s pick was expected.
