Image Credit: Sylvain Gaboury/PR PhotosThis just in: a key source tells EW that TNT has picked up Franklin and Bash, a drama that follows two streetwise lawyers (Breckin Meyer and Mark-Paul Gosselaar) who join a high-profile firm. The drama was one of four that was originally developed by TBS but TNT stepped up to the plate and ordered the drama to series, instead (hmm, did TBS run out of cash after closing that rich deal with Conan O’Brien?)
No matter; Bash from Kevin Falls (Journeyman) and Bill Chais (Dirty Sexy Money) should add a little comedic flair to TNT’s seriously dramatic lineup of shows starring Angie Harmon, Dylan McDermott, Jason Lee and Jada Pinkett Smith. Rumor has it the pilot shows ample shots of Gosselaar’s naked butt. D’oh!
The actor was last seen (fully clothed) in TNT’s short-lived Raising the Bar from Steven Bochco.
TBS and TNT are expected to make a big splash next week in New York, when the sister cable nets will unveil their comedy and drama plans for the coming year. But TBS’ deal with O’Brien is expected to steal most, if not all, of the thunder. O’Brien is expected to appear at the presentation.

Another lawyer show?? WHY.
my thoughts exactly.
Yeah, I kinda agree. another lawyer TV drama on TNT for Mark-Paul Gosselaar. I hope it does well. i didn’t watch “Raising the Bar,” but it was nice to have him on TV again. I might tune in and see how this show goes…
Bring on the booty!
I love MPG! He’s such a good guy and I’ll be rooting for him.
Any chance to keep Mark Paul working will always have me as a viewer.
There can never be too many lawyer shows. (Oh, and MPG wasn’t always “fully clothed” on “Raising the Bar”; he went shirtless at least once an episode. It WAS a Bochco show, after all.)
got love some MPG…he was a cute boy, but he makes a gorgeous man…
oh, and he is not that bad of an actor either..
I love MP! Glad he’s back to do some comedy! Bring it on.. THanks TNT
Somehow I am now finding out about this. Thank you TNT….even though you cancelled Raising the Bar…a show that I LOVED…at least I can see MPG continue on the small screen some more.
