When the blind item was revealed i knew it was going to be Dell, I didn’t want it to be because he is so cute and i love his character.
P.S. Remember the awesome introduction we had of Dell where all the ladies sat on the couch waiting and Addison asked what they were waiting for and then you saw sexy Dell come in from surfing, wet and shirtless. (why did that never happen again)

The interview with his actor on Yahoo’s OMG! says he didn’t WANT it to happen again because he didn’t want to just be the shirtless guy. Shonda agreed.
Well Dell’s death was not shocking at all. Really I thought it wasn’t as impactful as it could’ve been had it been someone else. I liked him but he wasn’t really around that much that I’m going to miss him. That being said, it still broke my heart. Just to see eveyone’s reaction and then Betsy, poor little Betsy. I LOVED LOVED LOVED that after much build up since, really since the back door pilot, Addison and Sam finally gave it a go. WOW that was so hot!
Honestly, I feel like the show just ended all tied up in a neat little package…so whether Dell lived or not didn’t feel like a big deal. Plus after what happened to Violet, its now going to take a great deal more to traumatize me. Rather than focusing on the fact that Dell’s death might be sad, I just thought, how convenient…Addy can finally adopt a kid who is parent free rather than trying to commandeer Violet’s in a relationship with a man she’s not in love with.
Or maybe if we’re lucky, we don’t have to see or hear about Betsy anymore. Seriously, who cares? She served her purpose while Dell was alive, but he’s dead now, so let’s just assume that she ends up with some aunt or grandparent.

Thanks for the quick update – especially this late in the evening. Interesting thoughts from Shonda. I cried like a baby through the 2nd half of that episode. Not happy about Addy with Sam – but obviously I have to deal with it.

So did William die too? And is Maya going to be able to walk again?
William is dying … went off to die near the daughter he is not close with. Maya’s surgery went well so there is a strong chance she should walk again.

omg i cried when dell died and addie just started sobbing! but i am so happy that addison and sam, charlotte and cooper and vi and pete and nai and fife are all gonna get theor chance at happiness.

Killing Dell was dumb. How about killing off characters who annoy the cra out of me like Naomi? Or even Violet would have been more interesting. So totally predictable, especially since his episode order was cut this year. LAME!
LOL either one of those would have been fine with me, Naomi annoys me more than Violet, but I don’t want Pete and Violet.
Agreed! I cried from the moment they couldn’t wake Dell up until about five minutes ago. I was holding out for Naomi or Violet to die, not Dell. He was, by far, my favorite!
I was sooooo hoping it would have been Naomi. I can’t stand her. Everyone was too lenient with her about how she treated her pregnant daughter. I’m not a big fan of Fife either and don’t know what he sees in her.

I would have been happier had it been both Naomi AND Violet. Both annoy me, and are worthless.
Done with this show. Deleted it from season pass. Every show that puts friends with their friends ex-husband is dead. This is why soaps are dying. Just stupid never dip your toes in the family pond.

I completely agree Lorna, super forced chemistry… although we’re in the minority. But I’m not done w/ the show. I still like it.
I am completely with you both. The chemistry IS forced. Not to mention the HUGE girl-code violation. I don’t care if they are divorced, that is her BEST FRIEND’S ex…you don’t do that. You just don’t.
Wow, just for that you delete it completely ? My Gosh people you have some extreme reactions !!! If you really loved the show, you wouldn’t have decided to stop watching it. I love everybody in this show and even if some storylines are “meh”, I couldn’t care less because things always change. And I suppose you will be back once Sam and Addie are over ? LAME !!

Dell’s death bothered me…wasnt it a little odd that Addison was the only one who cried/fell apart? The rest of them had that “dang” look on their face, but no tears…nothing breaking down (excluding his daughter of course). It just seemed like their should have been more emotion for Dell. I hope they address that next season.
Cooper cried, Violet too and I’m pretty sure I saw Naomi cry. When we saw Charlotte later, her eyes were really red as if she had cried a lot…
