I’m glad Addison and Sam got together. both of them are hot. Taye is YUMMY without shirt. I love his smile and Sam is so sweet and Hot. I’m sorry but Pete is just OLD he should be with Violet, he is not a good looking guy. Sam is eye candy.

i think shonda is a brilliant writer. she does whatever it takes to draw attention and make a lasting effect to her shows. she doesn’t care what us show-watchers think, and that’s a good thing. she’s amazing; strong, smart, creative, and determined. so just leave her alone, if you don’t like her writing stop watching the dang shows.

I’m so happy that Cooper and Charlotte are back together and engaged! And that they are one of Shonda’s favourite couples!! Yay!!!

it was going on pretty fine i LOVED the ending but noy the Addison/Sam part i hated it damn it they’re not good for each others can’t you see?????

Although I disagree with you about Dell’s storylines, I do agree about Amelia. I’d like to see her stick around, I’m fond of the actress.

I almost got a little bit nauseous when Dell died…not only because the blood spurts were gross, but because of the situation for that little girl, and how Dell knew he was going to die and told his daughter she should be happy. We all knew what was coming, and that’s what made my stomach a little flippy. So sad!

So are you gonna stop watching the show like everybody else who doesn’t like this couple ???

LOL This show is ADDISON’s show. It was built for her. No chance of her being killed off. She is the only character that brings the ratings.

I disagree, I like them together! His marriage has been over for quite a while now, and Naomi has moved on past him, there isn’t any reason why they shouldn’t try this and see where it goes.

I just don’t feel the whole Addison/Sam thing. Feels wrong to watch. They are way better off as friends. Actually I think the whole group needs to find people outside to date. This whole passing around lovers thing is gross. Everyone has already slept with everyone. Yuck.

I’m out now. I don’t like Sam and Addision together. I don’t care if he is an ex- . Notice how when she and Naomi talked, Naomi made a Freudian slip and referred to Sam as her husband. I hope that someone puts something decent on at 10 on Thursdays next season because I won’t be watching PP.

I agree also. Why does Addison have to get with her best friend’s ex husband. Heck why does Addison have to sleep with all of Derek’s best friends. Sam and Derek was best friends in college! Why can’t they bring on a new man for Addison.

Addison and Sam as a couple is wrong on so many levels. I am tired of Addison always being right. She has not boundaries. She is so used to getting everything that she goes after something or someone that is off limits (or at least should be). My issue with Sam is that Taye Diggs is not the best actor. When the scenes require any type of emotion he fails. I know that he is extremely attractive but he really needs to work on his acting skills.

you seem to have missed the point of so much that went on this season. almost everything you mentioned: the forgiving, going after best friend’s ex, etc is something that has been brewing for so long. the only reason addison was with pete was because of that “rule.” and pete didn’t just suddenly forgive violet. it started in court and then carried into last week and now into this week. their conversations is how it happened. plus, the demise of dell and seeing ‘life is so short. why wait?’ pushed them all to go ahead and doing what they wanted.

Addison and Sam SAVED the episode. SERIOUSLY.

Ok, people, CHILL. Addison and Naomi had the talk about Addison and Sam. Naomi gave them her blessing. With the friend’s blessing, dating an ex is fine. Sam and Addison did the right thing, feeling their feelings but not acting on them in deference to Naomi. The whole point of last night’s episode is that life’s too short not to be with someone who makes you happy! I thought the episode was excellent, everyone ended up right where they should. Even Dell. Very dramatic, very adult scene with Betsey, started crying then and didn’t really stop. Why not go out with a bang if your character doesn’t fit any longer? I love PP and can’t wait for next season. Yay, Shonda!

I pretty much agree with jennrae that this was really lazy and uncreative writing. They didn’t have to kill Dell at ALL…and leave Betsy an orphan?? What the H?? You do NOT have to kill a person every finale….and if you had to, why oh WHY couldn’t it have been Violet??

Did you people NOT read that the actor who played Dell wanted to “go out with a bang”? Meaning he didn’t want his character to go to med school or just leave. I don’t understand why everybody gets so up in arms about these things. People grow and people move on (that’s just life).

And, if you don’t like the show(s) anymore, quit watching it and stop complaining about how “bad” it’s gotten. Nobody cares that you think Shonda Rhimes is doing a horrible job. You people need to understand that these are just shows and she is working hard on them. Get over it. She wasn’t put on this earth to try and please every single one of you through Private Practice and Grey’s Anatomy. She could have not even written either show at all.

Cooper cried, Violet too and I’m pretty sure I saw Naomi cry. When we saw Charlotte later, her eyes were really red as if she had cried a lot…

more like we have a problem with their lack of chemistry, that that is her friends ex HUSBAND, how the Sam/Addison friendship is ruined and that was one of the best friendships on the show but once they started pining after each other it all went to pot, and how Sam has become such a selfish jerk since it was established that he had feelings for her. He’s so OOC now it isn’t even funny. But I guess that’s what happens when the show looses direction and you have a different writer for like every episode.

exactly! Pete had tears in his eyes just before he went to Betsy. and they were ALL in shock, elation for Maya, then slam, Dell didn’t make it. I thought they all acted very well and all were very cognizent that Betsy was there.

YES THIS. Thank you. I love this show. I’ll miss Dell, but I think everyone’s winding up with who s/he is supposed to be with. I’m excited to see what drama unfolds and I absolutely think that Addison and Sam have chemistry–I’m not sure what show everyone else is watching.

Let him go to med school, make guest appearaces – on both GG abd PP and watch him grow – much better ending and leaving him free to pursue a more substantial career. Addie – loving Pete but being “in love” with Sam – ridiculous. Even if Naiomi said it was “ok” – it is never going to be ok. She was Aunt Addie to Maya, now she is what? Her step mother and step-grandmother? Addie and Naomi are going to co-parent the still teenage Maya and a new baby? And stay “best friends”? Does any of this ring true? Addie walked away from what could have been a great love story with a great guy because the wife he didn’t love was a patient…..having raised Lucas for a year she can walk away from Pete, and the baby? Let the hot surgeon divorce the wife he doesn’t love and move on to Addie -I saw real chemistry there….. she did her moral duty and stayed away from the patient’s husband – but who is happy now. The hot doc doesn’t love his wife – and Addie can be a step mom to someone not related to her ex, or her other ex, or her best friend’s ex. There’s a bigger world out there, folks. And the fact that her mom was is a lesbian;which is why her father fooled around – is that a big enough reason really, for her to fall in love with Sam? She cheated on Derek with His BF on GA;then falls apart and in love with Sam, her “friend” of so many years, and the newly minted ex of her bff? Really, all this nonsense feels just like nonsense. Killing Dell, after all he’s been through with his ex and daughter – why not let him have a happy ending and become a doctor?

Zach, you’re talking crap lol. Kate Walsh is CLEARLY the star name and brings in way more viewers. Addison-centred episodes all get much higher ratings. Kate’s Twitter account has 4x the numbers of followers than Amy or Tim, and she started later. Any press interviews/magazine covers only Kate can secure. Do your research before you post crap!

I like C/C but I also love Cooper/Violet. Don’t think Shonda will ever let that go anywhere again, though.

My dislike for this pairing is not based on their ethnicity. I would go for them as a couple if Sam wasn’t Addison’s best-friend’s ex husband, and someone she’s known since med school and had no feelings for in the past. It really just came out of nowhere.

If another guy came into the picture, someone who wasn’t involved with any of Addison’s circle of friends, and was brilliantly played by an African American actor I would totally root Addie to GO for it.

But Sam? No.
