It seemed inevitable but the news is nonetheless shocking: NBC’s drama Heroes won’t be back for a fifth season. The beleaguered drama only averaged 6. Read the full post.

It’s about time. Went back a few times after the stellar first season, (Even bought the first season on DVD) but was so disappointed, I stopped caring.

  • Richard Raoo

    I am Heart broken…..Go LOST!!!

  • Leslie

I think season 2 screwed everthing up, because that one guy went to Pushing Daisies and then he came back to “fix” everything.. and he made it stupid

  • Chrissie

I’m really gonna miss the EW recaps, though!! they made my day!!

  • Jeff

Like a breath of fresh air just came in. Finally. Guess they can’t bring back Nathan Petrelli and kill him again for the ninth time at the beginning of next year as a plot device. This show long ago ran out of steam. Good riddance.

  • Ash

Well even though the shows sucks now I hope they at least wrap it up…

  • Major Undeclared

What a shame the show got to such a low point. All I have to say is, I will miss you Hiro.

Heroes cancelled. Wow the one good show NBC had left after they canned Journeyman. Guess the suits who gave Conan his whopping multi-wulti million dollar bailout had to pay for it somehow, so real scripted shows get the shaft. Marriage Ref? Complete and utter garbage which wouldnt exist if not for Jessica Seinfeld. You know the one who snuck vegetables into children’s meals. Well you’d have to be a vegetable in order to enjoy this brain-dead-on-arrival moron fest. Community, Parks and Recreation? Ouch, dual pathetic and equally unfunny The Office wannabes, sorry Chevy. Who Do You Think You Are? I don’t have to refill my Xanax now that this Jessica Parker PBS-inspired ripoff exists. Saturday Night Live? Jesus that Betty White show was a travesty wrapped in a debacle smothered in cobweb sauce, no reflection on BW. NBC? Methinks it’s now really and truly shorthand for Nothing But Crap.

    • Ashlee

Chris, I couldn’t agree more. Well stated! RIP Heroes, I’m sad to see you go. NBC, you suck.

    • Sam

So Chuck, The Office, 30 Rock, and The Good Wife are all worthless, eh? And I’m sure you’re one of those people that watched Parks and Rec for two episodes and got bored, so you don’t know how great it’s become. Well, this kind of solidifies the rumor that Heroes fans have no taste.

      • Nerwen Aldarion

The Good Wife is on CBS…

    • Chappel

NBC has several great shows. Heroes wasn’t one of them.

  • Elizabeth

Well, I’m bummed I won’t be getting my weekly Zachary Quinto, but he’s got movies on the herizon, so I’m not that sad. RIP Heroes, you had so much potential, but you did nothing with it.

    • amj

Agree, I will miss Zachary Quinto!!!

  • DN

I believe the cancelation of “Heroes” is a shot across the bow for all shows. Good writing that will keep viewers interested is ever more difficult with each addition season.

  • alia

Ugh, finally. Still kind of sad, though. A TV movie to wrap up the loose ends is a good idea, considering what this show could have been.

  • justin

This day was bound to come (as it does for all series), but sooner than later. I would’ve preferred a 2-hour tv movie to end it completely, but this will definitely do. It easily started tanking a few episodes into season 2.

  • Bob

Wow – what isn’t being cancelled??? The only thing this site is reporting today is what won’t be on tv anymore!

  • Kevin

If something is considered inevitable, it is by its very definition NOT shocking when it happens. Just sayin’.

  • mesmo

I’ll restate the obvious why the raitings never picked back up: Season 2 killed this show. Killed it.
