TBS and the Fox TV stations nabbed the off-net rights to The Big Bang Theory beginning in the fall of 2011, it was announced today. The comedy cabler, along with Fox stations located in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, and Dallas, among others, will air the reruns as weekday, or five-day-a-week, strips.
“The Big Bang Theory presents an increasingly rare proposition for broadcast stations and cable services: the chance to acquire a traditional, multi-camera, A-tier comedy that is still expanding its audience on network television and which is poised for continued growth in future seasons, making it an asset that will only increase in value for Fox and TBS for years to come,” according to Ken Werner, President, Warner Bros. Domestic Television Distribution. “A-tier sitcoms are a very rare breed that only come along once in a television generation. Past generations have each had their examples: Seinfeld, Friends, Everybody Loves Raymond and Two and a Half Men have each transformed the performance of their broadcast and cable outlets.”

Uh oh, Two and Half Men reruns were already taking up too much of my time and now this. Oh well.
I hope you are joking.
It doesn’t really have enough episodes to run 5 days a week, in 3 months they will start repeating the repeats. Oh well, I still love The Big Bang Theory.
By then it will have close to 80 episodes. I think 18 Season 1 shortened by writers’ strike, 2 seasons of 22 or so and next season. Does sound kinda soon though, huh?
Yay! So happy, this says to me “Big Bang Theory will be on a long time regardless of how many rough patches they have just like 2.5 men.” YAYAAYA I love BBT and have loved it from Day 1!
agreed
two thumbs up!!!!!!!!!
I only just starting watching Sheldon clips online, and can’t believe I’ve missed this show for so long.
This is great news – I just started getting into the show and this will be a nice way to play catch-up (even if I have to wait until next year!).
I love Big Bang Theory and I’ve almost every episode at least twice. Jim Parsons is a comedic genius. He can crack me up just with his facial tics. I still cannot understand how Jon Cryer won the Emmy over him.
Jon Cryer didn’t win over him…Alec Baldwin beat him. Jim Parsons was nominated in the lead catergory, not supporting.
Bazinga!
This is fabulous news.
orced by the pressures of life, people of breath. Have you ever thought to make our lives easier ever?

Fashion clothes, fashion bags, different styles of clothing.
More styles and colors let you pick. Do not let the pressure overwhelm us.
Let us lead a life of ease. If you have other methods. Please share with us.
And in other news, “I Love Lucy” will be rebroadcast on TV Land.
WOW listen to the tv addicts and their useless, wasteful lives- PATHETIC!!!!
not as pathetic as someone who comes on entertainment weekly message boards to make fun of people they don’t know. slow day at work?
excellent
I love love love How I Met Your Mother!!!I have never seen an ep of Big Bang Theory.
Is Big Bang Theory better than How I Met Your Mother????
What is BBT about???
It’s not that it’s better than HMYM…it’s that it’s another great comedy to make you laugh out loud…to say nothing about having to memorize all that scientific information. Both are great shows. BBT will make you fall in love with geeks and understand them more than you already do.
But I wanna see that long-delayed Ellen Page Lesbian Werewolf movie!!
