Erika Christensen’s acting on this show is atrocious. And her character Julia is one of the most annoying characters to ever grace television.

She has a really irritating way of speaking. She speaks really slowly and over-enunciates, it’s so unnatural compared to all the other actors. I think she’s terribly miscast in this role.
I think that is the point Jason…to me her character has a pompous attitude…like “look at me, I’m a woman with a child and a career! What are you going to do about it?”

It’s okay, M. Some people just hate women, even television characters that are bright, assertive, have high-powered careers, etc. You could put the most brilliant female actress… or a woman who actually lives that life in the world in the role and it still wouldn’t be “believable.”

I don’t think it’s her acting you don’t like, I think it’s just her character. She’s acting the character well.

I think she looks way too young to have even graduated law school, much less be this high powered attorney at a fancy law firm. I just don’t find her believable in this role at all.
If going straight through, people graduate from law school at 25-26, and are looking at partnership in their early 30s. She’s actually pretty realistic, agewise, for the role.

I actually really like Erika Christensen on the show, but I have to admit that every once in a while I see her and have kind of hilarious flashbacks to that movie she was in where she stalked the swimmer. Epic!
Erika is a GREAT actress, I love her as Julia, I really can’t imagine any other person in her role. you got a new devoted fan Erikaaaa!!!
Is anyone else seeing Sam Jaeger as a look-a-like crossover between Jack on Lost and Justin on Borthers and Sisters?
My favorite couple on the show too. I really relate to Julia a lot so that might be why.
Wow, I wish we saw that side of Jaeger on the show. He seems down to earth, and he looks so nice when he smiles. They need to have Joel smile and lighten up on the show.
I kinda hope they find out about an unplanned pregnancy in the finale. I’d love to see them with a baby.
