Parenthood is the best show ever. The entire cast is great. Dax Shepard…who knew! And, I did they find a biracial kid that looks just like him!? AMAZING! Kudos to Parenthood and NBC for finally giving me a reason to actually WATCH tv as opposed to listening to it in the background while I work out!

I think it’s about time that we all step away from Gilmore Girls a bit, and focus on Parenthood. I mean, I love Gilmore Girls and have every season on DVD. But honestly, Parenthood is a totally different show and I think it’s important, not only for Lauren but the entire tv series, that we let Parenthood shine in it’s own way and just deal with the fact that Lauren isn’t ONLY Lorelai, but Sarah. And to bring up Gilmore Girls in every conversation is just too much, she is promoting Parenthood for crying out loud!

I will watch anything with pk. I have all of the dvd’d of his shows. I am absolutely nuts for him. But, have to agree ds is a big surprise. He’s so good that I find myself thinking he’s good looking. IMAGINE THAT. Any I’m just hung up on pk. I read someplace about pk “I love his face, his voice, his everything” and I have to agree on that. Thanks for reading my rambling.

Just when I was starting to like the show, it’s becoming lame. The “heartfelt” moments are embarrassingly cheesy and unbelievable. Case in point: Sarah finds out that her father cheated on her mother in the first or second episode, and suddenly it’s a big deal? And what’s Adam’s reaction all about? Is it so hard for a 40-something-year-old man to consider the fact that his father has an affair? His wife’s comment about “low self-esteem” is even more laughable–it’s just naive, coming from a woman her age.

I also hate how they skip around what could’ve been great scenes in favor of getting a conflict more or less resolved by the end of the episode, and there are all these unanswered questions that SHOULD be answered but that aren’t. I wish, for example, they’d cover the consequence of Amber’s not taking the SAT, and how a college like UCB (I believe) accepted a bartender like Sarah.

I like Lauren Graham fine, but in my opinion Sarah is a weak and inconsistent character. One minute she’s has this I-don’t-take-myself-seriously vibe around her, and the next she’s just so fragile. It’s believable when she plays Lorelai Gilmore because we know enough about her background, but with Sarah… meh. It’s her interaction with Peter Krause’s character that I find worth watching.

As for Dax Shepard… I don’t even get what the big deal about him is. Is he supposed to be funny, or something?

I agree. The chemistry between Lauren and Alexis off screen was just as amazing on-screen. Plus, I noticed that Alexis was a lot more open in her interviews with Lauren.

That is exactly what I was thinking!
