SO glad Castle will still be on Monday! It’s such a great show. Makes Mondays tolerable, and perhaps even a day to look forward to!
That schedule looks dull as toast. I’m surprised they didn’t move a few shows to take advantage of DH’s and Grey’s fading ratings before they completely fall from
grace.
The JoAnna Garcia comedy will be worth a look. Still love her from Reba. Putting The Middle on at 8AM is a risk. That show has never pulled in a big audience. So I guess if CBS cancels Old Christine, it won’t be picked up by ABC now. Bummer….
Want Flash Forward back!!! The only one that sounds somewhat interesting is Body of Proof, but not sure I want to invest in it when all ABC seems to do is cancel their shows with out really giving them a chance. I had really liked Eastwick and The Forgotten but alas they were both forgotten by ABC!!!
Sad about “Flash Forward”, but when I saw the cast, I knew this show was in trouble. Too expensive. Great actors cost money. This show was fantastic when it was on the money. Sadly, they writers left too many questions to answer. Lost would never make it today. Viewers want immediate answers or at least closure every few episodes. I love lost, but they had so many “Wasted” episodes. These are episodes that give little advancement to the end plot and put together just to fill a quota. If you can wrap a show in 8 episodes, do it and start another story, don’t drag it out 20 episodes. Perfect example is “Lost”. If I knew it would take 7 years (6 Season’s) to get answers I would have never started. I not a “CSI” or “Law and Order” fan, but admire they have closure. With so many shows and little time, no body has time to invest in long story plots that can last for years and the odds are they will get cancelled anyway. Networks are a business and have no patience or loyalty to an audience. Folks, network TV is about one thing. Ratings and Money, Not Quality and story. The key is to find the right balance.
So I just have to watch Castle then? Awesome. Man, the rest of the line up blows.
Although I am bummed that “V” is coming back during midseason, I am still glad to see it coming back – now if ABC just doesn’t put it up against CBS’s NCIS again, the show may have a real chance.
Michael Imperioli? Dana Delaney? But they couldn’t give FlashForward another chance? Seriously, ABC should stick to comedies (and hope that CBS doesn’t get a couple more good ones). I hope they don’t decide to screw around too much with the scheduling of V episodes. I would rather they just kill it now quickly than bury it alive in the spring.
CBS has one good comedy. are you a two and a half men fan?
I’ve seen the pilot for my generation. It is actually pretty good, so I’m excited about that show, but still sad there is no more lost or ugly betty.
The only show that I care to check out is the Joanna Garcia comedy Better Together. I love the Wed night lineup and while I think Better of Ted would have fit in that time slot just fine, I’m willing to give this one a try. I love Joanna Garcia so I’m glad to see her working. Other than that though…blech!
Where is Off The Map on the schedule?
I’m very disappointed that The Deep End was cancelled. That show featured some interesting court cases (similar to The Good Wife) and some really good actors we don’t see enough of, including Clancy Brown and Norbert Leo Butz. And words cannot do justice to my level of bitterness over ABC’s treatment of Better Off Ted. After the 1-2 punch of Pushing Daisies and Better Off Ted, I believe ABC wouldn’t know a quality TV show if it marched into Stephen McPherson’s office and smacked him upside the head with a 2′x4′.
It’s not just that they cancelled Better Off Ted, it was the weird way they burned off episodes, including airing 2 on New Year’s Eve. I gave up trying to follow the schedule and ended up watching the last episodes on-line.
I can’t wait to miss ALL of them. They canceled Better Off Ted. ABC is dead to me.
A network with even a worse schedule than NBC.
Off all these shows, “V” has great potential if the writers jsut focus more on “Anna”, “Josua”, and the “V’s” instead of that boring baby and love relationship. The show appeals to “Sci Fi” fans, which is including more woman. No need for Grey’s Anatomy in space. That is what killed a great show “Defying Gravity”. Morena Baccarin is the key to success, use her more and the show will be a success. It will never be # 1, but a solid top 20 show with high 18-40 and the 30 – 50 crowd (people with jobs and money). The advertisers will come.
advertisers only care about 18-49.
I’m gonna miss Flash Forward. I’ll still watch Brothers & Sisters and maybe Gray’s depending on this weeks show, previews look good. Other than that, very boring.
No Flash Forward? I’m really tired of getting invested in shows with ongoing storylines, only to have them canceled with no wrap up. Really frustrating! It’s why I’m very reluctant to even bother watching new shows now, unless I know I can jump in any time and not have to rely on what happen previously. I’m really disappointed. I liked this show.
