* All signs point to ABC rescuing Ghost Whisperer from CBS’ trash heap. An Alphabet reprieve for Old Christine, however, appears unlikely. And I think we can all agree that that sucks something major.

* At Adult Swim’s upfront presentation this evening, the cable net is expected to unveil a trailer for the new season of Rob Corddry’s uproariously twisted onetime Web series Children’s Hospital (bowing July 11). An exclusive first look at said trailer is below.

Poor NBC. Big Bang is going to destroy their Thursday “comedy” lineup. And the Survivor/Criminal Minds combo on Wednesdays is going to be a pretty powerful force.

and why are you so sure it’ll do so well against a comedy? It was up against niche shows on mondays. If you don’t like over-the-top action (24), sci-fi (heroes), or dancing, you’re steered towards a mediocre comedy… that’s also my only explanation for why people would actually watch 2 and a half men
Nah, Parks and Rec is pretty good, I was a fan of the BBT but its peak was season 1 and 2 – it has since bought into its own hype and has long since become the Sheldon Show and suffered for it and has anyone else notice that Leonard is becoming ‘cooler’ all of a sudden?

You do realize Big Bang Theory uses a laugh track right? And it is still a show you watch? Are you an adult? Who let this kid on the internet don’t your parents know there are bad things on here? Another rhetorical question?
I hate NBC, but they have shown more patience with their comedies than anyone else. I doubt BBT will stop that. Besides, it’s just a matter of time before one those Monday comedies is trashed and BBT goes back. And I’m completely uninterested in watching anything with Shatner on it.
I’ll wait for BBT to move back to Mondays.
Big bang is the only cbs comedy i watch (well, DVR) and i wouldn’t watch it over any of the four NBC comedies…
Unfortunately, I think kgb is right. BBT brings big ratings behind it, and I think it’s more accesible to mainstream audiences than Community. I honestly don’t prefer one to the other. They’re both great comedies. It sucks that shows still rely so heavily on advertiser dollars because in this day and age you can watch ANYTHING!!
HIMYM is the ONLY funny CBS comedy and it’s having a pretty bad season. I guess that’s what happens when the main character is dumped at the alter.

I think a Thursday move is a HUGE mistake. Big Bang will lose “2 & 1/2 men” as its lead in. Not to mention many viewers (myself included) are already invested in NBC’s comedy block on Thursdays. Something will get have to get DVRd, and for me, it’d probably be Big Bang. It’s a fine show, whose saving grace is its actors. But the writing, the continuity, the plotting, is at times abysmal. It is not ready to go up against the heavy hitters like “The Office,” and I fear many viewers will not follow it to the new slot.
I’ve always thought that “Big Bang’s” biggest problem is that it’s on CBS, which easily has the worst writer crafting the worst comedies. That they would mess with something that already works is further proof of CBS’s ineptitude. How the hell is NBC in fourth place behind them? Oh, wait…
Brian, I’m not sure you have all your info right. BBT has been building on Two and a Half Men’s ratings this season. I’m actually surprised it hasn’t become Monday’s anchor show, but it’ll do OK on Thursday. I actually hope more people do DVR BBT, and give NBC’s shows a better chance.

Wow. That Children’s hospital deserves a newsflash of its own. That was absolutely hilarious and literally flooded with comedians. Cannot wait for that!
Seriously! It looks great. And a fun fact for Scrubs fans, it’s shot at Sacred Heart. In March my girlfriend and I took a vacation to LA and took a tour of Sacred Heart. We were told this show had just wrapped a couple of days before and heard some good things! Can’t wait for it!
