OMG! The CW spoils new seasons of 'Gossip Girl,' 'Vamp Diaries,' Smallville,' and more!

Buried in the CW’s official fall schedule press release were some massive spoilers about the new seasons of Gossip Girl, One Tree Hill, The Vampire Diaries, Smallville, and Supernatural. Excerpts below! Read at your own freakin’ risk!

GOSSIP GIRL: “Season four will open with a radiant Serena and Blair enjoying their grand and romantic summer in Paris…until Chuck mysteriously arrives in town with a new girlfriend and a new identity. Blair swore off Chuck forever but will this changed man woo Blair into having a change of heart, or will Queen B set her sights on ruling Columbia University? And as for that baby…?”

ONE TREE HILL: “Season eight will explore the delicate balance that contemporary twenty-somethings face as they endeavor to build and define what their lives will be, while overcoming difficulties and embracing the good things that they sometimes take for granted, shrouded in the pursuit of someday. It will be a celebration of the most important things, among them the quest for love, laughter, health, friends, career and family: timeless pursuits that have always mattered, and matter now, in a place called Tree Hill.”

THE VAMPIRE DIARIES: “Next season, the appearance of the villainous Katherine in Mystic Falls throws a wrench into the love triangle between Stefan, Elena and Damon, and the other residents of Mystic Falls must choose sides as they fall victim to a new breed of danger. New and unexpected friendships will be forged, allies will become enemies, and hearts will be broken. Stefan and Damon will be forced to face a villain more evil and diabolical than they ever believed possible. And they’ll take their shirts off.  Frequently.”

SMALLVILLE: “Season 10 promises the classic reuniting of the timeless romance between Clark and Lois, and brings Clark face-to-face with his destiny as he overcomes his final trials and forges the iconic identity that will be known for all time.” (FYI: Cassidy Freeman (Tess) is included in a list of returning series regulars. Hmm…)

SUPERNATURAL: “Season six will be a season of mystery and shadow. Heaven and Hell have been left in complete disarray since the apocalyptic events of season five. And now, monsters, angels and demons roam across a lawless and chaotic landscape. And so Dean Winchester, who has retired from hunting and sworn never to return, finds himself being pulled back into his old life — pulled back by none other than Sam Winchester, who has escaped from Hell.  The two reunite to beat back the rising tide of creatures and demon-spawn, but they quickly realize that neither are who they used to be, their relationship isn’t what it used to be, and that nothing is what it seems.”

90210: “The third season welcomes the West Beverly kids to their senior year of high school. It’s the time of college acceptances and lovers’ rejections, the time of prom dates and promises betrayed, the time of spring break, break-ups and make-ups – but as is always the case in Beverly Hills, it all happens in a world of sun and fun, palm trees and warm sea breezes, success and excess.  From the very beginning of the school year, the lives of the West Beverly group will be shaken up in a way none of them could ever imagine. And from this new starting point, their journeys will take them to staggering new heights and terrifying new depths. We’ll see the rise of a pop sensation and the fall of a group of friends, the beginning of a new love and the end of a professional dream, the creation of an unlikely family and the demise of another.  And that’s just the first week of school… It’s now or never for the students of West Beverly, and they’re not going to waste a moment of time. Expectations are high, hormones are raging, and scandals are hiding around every corner. From the brightest moments of love and happiness to the darkest hours of shame and fear, senior year at West Beverly promises to be an unforgettable journey.”

the only thing that matters is this: “Stefan and Damon will be forced to face a villain more evil and diabolical than they ever believed possible. And they’ll take their shirts off. Frequently.”
    lol

    • ang

      Agreed!

      • LauraM

Yeah, that last sentence slayed me! :)

      • Lindsay

        @LauraM FTW!

    • Claire

That’s definetely what stood out for me too:
“Stefan and Damon will be forced to face a villain more evil and diabolical than they ever believed possible. And they’ll take their shirts off. Frequently.” << love it!! <33 (Ian Somerhalder = HOTNESS)

      • MK

Somerhalder is super hot. Elena is with the wrong vamp!

      • Yve

Paul Wesley is super hot too :P
I want them both naked in my bed, now!!!!

    • Sandra

Come now, do you really expect them to fight evil clothed?! Everyone knows true evil is defeated through liberal applications of six pack abs.

      • red

        lmao so very true

    • Traci

I knew that there couldn’t be an article about The Vampire Diaries without a mention of shirtless guys! Enemies, allies, revenge, blah blah blah… oh, yeah Damon and Stefan will be showing off their sculpted abs again! LOL

    • Dave

How about a beach/bikini sequence with Elena, Bonnie, Jenna, Caroline, (and hopefully Anna) for us guys? lol there are definitely some tasty babes on this show..

      • Wilson

        Definitely :)
But I guess as long as they keep the writing good it’s all fine by me lol

      • Dave

@Wilson, totally agree – I was dreading watching this show as I thought it was going to be similar to all the “twilight-crap” movies that my gf dragged me to: all angst and longing sappiness with nothing else. This show definitely blew me away with the storylines and pacing in addition to the scenery while keeping close to the vamp lore that most are familiar with.

      • Psac

So are we the only four males who actually watch the show? Agreed, Dave, best episode idea ever. And yes, with Anna back from the (un)dead.

      • Jaz

        Anna is dead :(

      • Jaz

        Er… deader.

    • Jessie

That’s really all I needed to know.

    • GimplyGump ☺

Basically they are going to get audited and to pay back taxes they need to work at a strip club, right? ;)

  • Alexandria

Re: Supernatural. One has to pull the other back into the job? One’s been in hell? Their relationship is not what it used to be? Stop me if you’ve heard any of this before. It feels a little like they’re rehashing old dynamics and just switching which boy’s in which role. (Requisite fangirl whining: But they were barely starting to pull it back together after last time! DNW the boys on the rocks with each other again!)

    • Debs

Yikes – do you think “nothing is as it seems” means Sammy has still got Lucifer Inside (dun-dun-dun-DUN like an Intel commersh)?

    • LaLa

Supernatural sounds terrible. Retired Dean dragged back into hunting by Sam? BORING. Time jump? More like “jump the sharks”, time jumps are the resort of shows grasping and out of ideas.

      • LaLa

Almost forgot the role reversals. Role reversals are nothing but cheap and unimaginative. Why would Dean Winchester abandon a world supposedly overrun by chaos and demons and other nasty things? That is practically character assassination.

      • AshleyBrooke

I don’t see it that way. In a way it seems fitting, if this is possibly the last season, to basically reverse season one. Would you, if you were Dean, after making a promise to Sam to live an apple pie life with Lisa and Ben, not keep the promise? If that was the last thing he could do for his brother, which is to keep his promise, than I don’t see the problem.

      • zack

Supernatural is not going to be the same, the lead writer and creator Eric Kripke said from the beginning that his story was a 5 season story and he has now stepped down to do other projects. So will Supernatural be as good as the past, I doubt it.

      • Jen

LaLa, I completely agree. I’m sick of how they reuse ideas and call it symmetry. It’s lazy writing. And there is no way Dean would live a quiet domestic life while people were dying.

      • Fridge

I disagree. I could totally see Dean living the quiet life and not really caring about what was going on in Heaven or Hell. All season long they built up to the fact that Dean was sick of what he was doing, and I think after losing his brother, that was it for Dean. He was done with hunting demons, done with Heaven and Hell, and just wanted a normal life. It’s always been his dream. It’s going to be interesting to see what they do with the story though. I agree with Debs though, I don’t think Lucifer has vacated the vessel.

      • Wilson

I don’t really know. It could go either way: the “mystery and shadow” got me… A mysterious, dark, ambiguous storyline? I could dig that. And maybe the differences could be a new kind instead of just tortured, like they’re both matured, and they have different takes on life like Dean wanting to remain ignorant of the problems but realizing that some last action must be taken now, and Sam not wanting to rip Dean away from his life for making him promise in the first place, but something strange, super-unexplainable and dangerous is happening that leads him to have to go to Dean after all…and as for role reversal, I’m sure that these writers have something up their sleeves that won’t be too cliche’. As for Eric Kripke: I am so tired of people getting upset that he’s leaving: HE’s NOT LEAVING–he’s just not going to be the main showrunner anymore. He will be executive producer, and Sera Gamble, one of the best of the crew and who has been there since the beginning, is picking up the slack. It should be fine, so settle down!

      • ani

I disagree, Lala. I do think that the description was slightly lame, but I’m remaining hopefuly that the season itself will be so much more than a rehashing of that crap. plus, i started to get a bit bored with it. i need the writers to give us something new, but i have faith that they can deliver

      • tlc

May I, as a writer, make a comment here? All the stories that are possible have already been written–EVERYTHING that is now being written is just variations on a theme. IT ALL DEPENDS ON HOW WELL THEY DO IT! And who ever said it was EARTH that was the blasted landscape? It could very well be Heaven–or Hell since Heaven’s no longer accessable. If so, then Dean wouldn’t know about it since he’s not there. Sam is and he has to go get his brother. See the possbilities?

    • bna

Now, if only Sam and Dean were to take of their shirts. Repeatedly…

      • Yve

        great idea!!!

      • GimplyGump ☺

        PUDDING!!!!!!!!!!

  • anchupeta

wow for supernatural. reading the description gave me goosebumps!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! so excited now, and whatever time they put supernatural on it, it will still be awesome!!!

    • cammie

you`re write, and just because kripke is not the writer of the show anymore, doesn’t mean it will be bad, maybe the next writer will be better than kripke, who knows… i still think the show is awesome, and it’ll be interesting to see dean in the “normal civilian” role.

  • Harrison

Nice to see they’ve got the interns writing their show descriptions…

    • Jason

Could the One Tree Hill description possibly be any more BORING? Honestly, if Schwahn goes limp and sissy on us in the final stretch, and just tries to make everyone and everything “happy, happy, glad, glad,” I will vomit. You’ve got new life, man, try going out (or contending for longer life) by giving us some outrageous drama!! Get us talking by the watercoolers again! More crazies, more shockers, more of anything besides Brooke and Julian making goo-goo eyes. Blech.

      • Nat

It’s also massively vague and could apply to any show about twenty somethings by replacing the words “season 8″ and “Tree Hill” accordingly. Ugh.

      • JCK

Maybe I’m wrong but I thought that Ausiello wrote all of these. If so, he HATES One Tree Hill so I’m not surprised it was a crappy description. He did it on purpose.

      • @JCK

Dude, in the very beginning he said it was from the CW’s fall schedule press release.

    • ani

agreed. the one tree hill description was terrible. seriously? nothing even remotely specific to the show?

  • Ash

‘And they’ll take their shirts off. Frequently.’ Haha best news ever! Go Team Damon!!!

    • Mike

Damon is by far more interesting, more like a vampire should be!

    • Delena

      Team Damon over here!

  • Lee

    Season 10 = DARKSEID! :D

    • harry

      yesssssssssssss!!!

    • Kody

      For the win!!!!!!!!

  • HotMama

It’s going to be a long summer without new Vampire Diaries episodes!

  • HotMama

It’s going to be a long summer without new Vampire Diaries episodes!

  • Tiva4Life

Finally Superman and Lois and Clark for the win!!!!!

    • Lois Stinks!

Well that blows! This show started about Clark discovering who he is and what his destiny is to be. Now they say they are going to split the last season’s storyline with that and him getting his rocks of with Lois. What a dissappointment!

      • LOIS RULES

im sorry but without lois there is no superman…and this season seemed to be a success with the iconic clois finally taking place. the ratings speak for themselves and thanks to clois we have a season 10.

      • MythosAlive!!

oh whatever…suck it up SV is gonnba be a full blown superman show, follow the Mack and dont show yr face ever again during s10…good riddance

    • Mike

Agreed, they have incredible chemistry and make the show!!!

    • Bob Carmichael

Finally! The last few seasons have been so poorly written trying to squeeze the last little bit of blood out of this turnip. We were promised Superman four years ago but that didn’t happen. The whole Lana thing was brutal to watch and the Kandorian plot this year was atrocious. This was one of the worst seasons yet. That being said it also had some of the best individual episodes especially the finale. I’m tired of Clark/Kal El/Blur being portrayed as a coward. I’m tired of Tess and would like to see Chloe’s character become interesting again. More JLA, less meteor rock of any color. And for goodness sakes, why is Kal El the ONLY Kryptonian who cannot fly?!?!?!?

  • Tiva4Life

Finally Superman and Lois and Clark for the win!!!!!

  • Michelle

Loving the Vampire Diaries, Smallville and Supernatural ones!

    • Kody

      Agreed!

      Agreed!

  • SILVER

    WTF? No 90210 tease?!

  • SILVER

    WTF? No 90210 tease?!

    • Sandy

      Seriously, that was no spoiler.

    • Holly

the rise of a pop sensation & and the end of a professional dream,”Adrianna”, beginning of a new love. “Liam & Annie”. the creation of an unlikely family. “The B!tch Jen & Mr Matthews”. and the demise of another.”The Wilsons”. The fall of a group of friends “the girls”.

      • Mike

My thoughts exactly. UNLESS the end of a professional dream is Teddy’s tennis career going up in flames.

      • Felicity

Agreed about Teddy. Also pretty sure there will be some fallout from the Dixon/Silver thing for the whole group – not just the girls. But obvs Annie/Liam will deep six the Naomi/Annie friendship…again….

      • Holly

@Mike Omg I think you’re right, I forgot about Teddy. Maybe he gets into an accident and is left paralyzed ?

      • Amy Leigh

Agreed. When I saw the “new love” part, I immediately thought Annie/Liam. Mr. Matthews driving drunk and getting a DUI could mean the end of his career but the end of Teddy’s tennis dream fits the professional dream better. I could see Teddy blowing out his knee or something.

    • Ms_Broken_Angel

There was no 90210 teaser because the show got canceled!!!

  • Norah

What’s up with Supernatural? Sam and Dean’s relationship won’t be the same? So in other words, we’re going back to season 4?? When Dean had just escaped hell and he was all tormented and whatnot but with the roles reversed in season 6? I’m not liking the sound of it.. Let’s face it, none of them has been the same for a very long time now.. So if they’re looking to make a change, I think they should start by fixing their relationship.
