Isn’t there some way that Denny can become a regular character on the show. gosh he was good and not too hard on the eyes either !

  • Mitesh

Hey..m d big biggest fan f d show…i m in lv wid shonda rhimes,i totaly adore u…such an awsme show dat it makes me hallucinate n uplift my mood..it feels all d SGH ppl belong wid me…made me cry at finale ..m myself a med.student n jst lv lv lv lv ur show….muuuuuuaahh:) …
P.S.-I REALLY REALLY WANT TO MEET U ALL

  • lekesha

You are still not answering the question about bailey’s love life on the show I really feel like viewer’s would love to see here with someone like everyone else is. So I think mrs. Rhimes needs to handle that

  • motunrayo

    i can’t wait for a=season 7. season 6 was a blast

  • Odette

agreed! when she was crying and didnt realize it and was wondering where the water was coming from, i just lost it… well, that was one of many times i lost it last night

let’s just say my boyfriend and i watched an office, 30 rock and some family guy just to get us out of that emotionally-wretched mood we were in after the finale!

  • Odette

    i second that amen!

meredith is not the typical girl, she is out dark and twisty… but i do like the progression she is making into happy-land and i like that shonda doesnt compromise Mer’s character

when she was having the miscarriage and she was still on top of what she had to do, i was just cheering… mer and yang were just incredible

  • Whatever

Meaning it qualifies as losing a baby you idiot!

  • clara

it’s a bunch of cells at that stage even shonda said it’s the dream of having a baby. and tune down the aggression!
I’m just saying it’s not the same thing as if she was 6 months along and could feel the baby. and i think it’s wrong of shonda to call this the main tragedy of the shooting.

  • pappy44

That part is actually probably correct…from a tactical standpoint, you take a large piece, break it down to smaller pieces clearing one floor at a time. Having more than one squad in the building at a time is problematic at best. The more weapons on scene at once can cause problems with Command and control, so I can see them actually just using one team. The problem I had was the one guy getting off one shot. When you put the guy down, you or your teamates would follow it up with movement towards the perp, securing both the guy with the gun and the person that in between (lexie in this case). He also wouldn’t be alone.

  • Nikki

The show is not a cop show, it is a hospital drama. Why on earth would there be as much focus on the police side. It does seem crazy that they couldn’t get him but there are no characters on the police force that we have ever seen before.

  • lshar

did you not read what she said?! that’s how they really do it dumb a**!!!

  • Bwitth

But if you read her comment again…she had SWAT advisors telling her that this is how it is so she is obviously trying to be authentic.

  • Netgyrl

Pappy44 – that was my problem too. There is no way the SWAT guy would not follow-up that shot and get the shooter. other then that i think the ep was amazing.

  • wolverine

Pappy44′s very well-spoken, and I’m sure that any SWAT advisors would have told Shonda the same thing. That’s probably where she took poetic license…and lost believability, which was providing a lot of the tension and drama. Okay, that and where the gunman wasn’t taken out by a sniper while standing on the catwalk in the atrium. I mean, seriously? Seriously?

  • Kat

Agree Courtney and Ginger. It absolutely rocked as a finale and everyone was stellar. Emmys all round.

  • monica

i agree also don’t stop they need to make 7 even better then 6!! Its going to be hard for them though

  • kim

Shonda just stated in the above article that Owen is with Cristina. What about that didn’t you understand?? Cris and Jackson? not happening.

  • Erica F.

Especially since the serial killer straight up told her.. I came here to shoot 3 people.. Dr. Weber, Dr. Sheppard and YOU!!! You pulled the plug.. HELLO GUILT CITY! Her rushing to his side crying “This is all my fault..” yea.. I didn’t think she chose him for a second

  • Kelly L

Lol… I didn’t buy that either, but it was fun watching jealous Mark :P

  • emerge

    Callie caved first!

  • kim

That is not the way they bring the patient into the room. There is another door. Do you seriously think that they take the patient through the area where the Drs. scrub in????

  • tryst

I’m not sure why people don’t understand that 911 wasn’t going to work. Didn’t you see the scene where Webber is listening to the calls from inside the hospital? They were on lockdown. They couldn’t do anything until SWAT cleared those floors. You can’t turn the elevators on because then the crazy guy with the gun is mad mobile. You restrict his movement he’s easier to find.

  • gracieface

I agree with ya Kat……OMG it was awesome!

  • SIM

Kat gotta agree with you ,I DVR this episode and watched it today. Blew me away. BRILLIANT!!!!!!!!!!!

  • jenifer

    hi mere dith shepherd
    how derke shepherd
    doing

  • Linda

I agree, EVERY Scene AND EVERY ACTOR..POWERFUL..AWESOME..Emmy worthy and I hope the show wins a lot of them on this finale episode.

  • Melissa

I totally agree, it kept me on the edge of seat all night, it was intense, sad, scary, and just plain brillant. Shonda you rock, that goes also for the Private Practive finale, AWESOME,

  • Nick T

I was going to say that scene and the scene where Baily was unknowingly crying were the two most brilliant scenes. But then I remembered the rest of the episode. I’ll just say those were the two best performances. Chandra Wilson or Sandra Oh for the EMMY!

  • bernie coughlan

will people get a life its a tv show , thats all

  • mike

Hero’s journey. It’s a familar human experience. In the face of tragedy, people will respond in certain ways. The hero saves the world (caped crusader, surgeon).

  • Misty

I would like to see izzie come back to be at alex’s aide. Then it will be a triangle for lexie and him. What about callie having the opprotunity to get the gun from mr clark, and not. Her and arizona are cute and I want to see owen and christina get married. I loved the season finale. Bravo and cant wait for the new season to start.

  • Jenn

Shonda addressed him in the article. He wasn’t at the hospital, so no, he wasn’t shot.

  • Charisse

Thanks Nita….couldn’t have said that better myself. :-)

  • regardless

I’m with you. It’s funny to me that so many people are concerned that this was unrealistic. Hello, it’s television. It is supposed to have some believability, but if you want total realism get off your couch and go do a police ride along if you want real. Life is real, television, primetime television and even most of reality television, is not. Period. I feel sorry for anyone who was too caught up in why there only five SWAT guys to feel the adrenaline rush and the fear of Cristina, or who could not be moved by Bailey’s anguish, or what must have been going through Meredith’s head when she offered her pregnant self up as a sacrifice, or Mark watching the woman he loved love someone else. There was bitterness and humor and sorrow and relief all in a short space of time, the whole range of emotions and for me that is real enough.

  • Delores

Oh I LOVE Owen. He’s the hottest ginger/redhead since Harry Spencer, Princess Diana’s 2nd son. Owen is a fine looking man…..and I love to watch him act. Wish they showed off more of his ass though. Can’t see much definition in loose scrub pants. sigh. Leave my man alone Lynne!!!

  • Julie

    i agree!

  • Carol Brady

oh I so agree Cindee…..but that is a weird ass way to spell you name. Did your Mom not know how to spell? Didn’t see watch The Brady Bunch like the rest of us?

  • Julie

    i agree with lynn fyi

  • Delores

Well, nobody likes you Julie…so your opinion is worthless.

  • Lynn

Sorry I hurt you Delores. I agree about Owen’s ass….just wish he could act better. Atually, wish he wore tight jeans on that show more often too. Can’t Shondra demand tighter scrub pants on the guys?

  • Mother Superior

Cory….the show is only good if the guys take their shirts off and wear tight pants. Otherwise…not really.

  • Tom

Good! I can’t stand that guy. I would of preferred him dying over Dr.Percy.

  • the other jen

His “I’m gonna kick that guys ass for shooting me”-thing was pretty funny though. He’s got spunk!

  • the other jen

There will be a new set of interns coming in for next year. Maybe Jackson can get some lovin’ from there.

    and that man is Mc-Yummy!

  • the other jen

I had to DVR it cuz I got home late.
My husband called me and told me I had to get home ASAP because it was so good and then locked me out of the house so I wouldn’t see the last 15 seconds as I was walkng in the door! LOL!

  • cory

No, he also told him that he could surrender to the SWAT team and spend his life in prison, so his real choices were prison or “an afterlife with [his] wife”.

  • LotteMack

keith: one, i think the gunman didn’t shoot cristina straight away because she was kind to him in the elevator. And she was crying- he was confused and all the killing was affecting his brutality, you could tell.

when he originally shot derek you saw him lean over with the gun to shoot again and kill him, but then he heard/saw the SWAT team come in and knew that a shot would draw him to their attention and get him killed.

  • LotteMack

totally agree karla… there hasn’t been a more tense ep since code black.
exciept this one was more emotionally disabling because the merder thing is real now, so there’s more to be lost etc.

  • Another Emma

    So…friggin happy too!

  • Nick T

Melodrama is great when done right. They made these events happen in order to affect and build/destroy the characters. Pretty brilliant, not manipulative.

  • Michelle

I think I finally started to breathe again about an hour ago.

  • Christina

    LOL Jennifer. Love it.

  • tammy stark

Hey Tom, cut the guy some slack. He’s only had pyschos for girlfriends. And when finally he redeemed himself and truly fell in love, Katherine Heigl walked out of the show. I think Alex’s grown a lot during the show, he just needs a stable woman now. Come on Shonda, show some love to him.

  • tutu

I’m a doctor. No, it wouldn’t have flat-lined right away. These monitors take a few seconds to show the absence of a heart rhythm when the electrodes are disconnected. It’s definitely not an instantaneous thing.

  • wolverine

It’s one thing to suspend disbelief. One can do that and still watch critically (and by that, I mean actively thinking through what one is watching, not necessarily disparagingly).

  • wolverine

Poor Alex! All the crappy stuff happens to him! Rough childhood. Crazy mother. Crazy gf. Loses gf to another guy. Gets gf back, she has sex with a ghost. Gets gf back, she gets cancer, he marries her, she dies, she comes back and leaves him. This is just the tip of the iceberg! Guy can’t catch a break.

  • samantha

Izzie got herself fired. She’s the one that made a mistake with the patient. How is it ironic that Charles died?
