Last week, The CW released the following spoilery tease regarding Gossip Girl‘s upcoming fourth season: “Season four will open with a radiant Serena and Blair enjoying their grand and romantic summer in Paris… until Chuck mysteriously arrives in town with a new girlfriend and a new identity.”
Earlier today, producers started casting the recurring role of Eva, an utterly gorgeous female in her 20s or 30s who boasts a warm heart and an authentic French accent. Shooting begins in early July in both New York and Paris.
Add it all up and what do you get? If GG producers are smart, a call into Emmanuelle Chriqui’s agent.

Since they are shooting in Paris, the producers should pick a French actress who is fluent in English.
They should pick ANNE-SOPHIE FRANCK as a guest star on the show. She was in Inglorious Basterds. She’s dead gorgeous.
They picked Harry Potter’s Clemence Poesy. She’s fluent in brit English.
Anne-Sophie is too old and too serious an actress.
As for Clemence, she’s beautiful and French. And since we don’t know anything about Eva, as far as we know she doesn’t even have to be fluent in English.

I don’t know why the casting department can’t find good “outside” men for any of the GG girls–Cameron, Aaron, Scott, Tripp… they all were boring and not very cute. Find some young male actors with charisma please!

Frankly, I don’t get how Dan can get any action w/ s.o. other than Vanessa or Georgina. Olivia was so unbelievable.

I dont care who she is, where she came from of what sort of personality she thinks she has (if it’s on track with the rest of the GG guest stars I am sure she will have the personality of a pea pod) I do not like her. I do not want her near Chuck. I dont want her at all. This entire storyline is bothering more and more and not giving me any incentive to turn in for Season 4 after that vomit-inducing finale.

I dont think chair is over. Yeah, right now the writers need to rebuild their relationship, and Blair shouldnt take him back so easily but I think the writers can redeem his character. Chuck really needs to grow up and to be a man, and I hope season 4 is gonna be about he making himself worthy of Blair’s love or anyone else.
COMPLETELY AGREE!!! irritates me so much when all these ‘chair’ fans allow anything to pass just because they have painted their own fantasy of the couple. If it were real life you would never want someone like Chuck near any female you knew.
True anon, but as we all know … “GG” is nothing at all like real life.
We dont let anything pass, my understanding is that we bitch about anything and everything that gets thrown at us. I mean, isn’t that what anti-Chair people can also agree on? And this is most certainly NOT real life, anon person. It’s Gossip Girl. If people loved a more realistic relationship on this show Dan/Vanessa would be the most popular couple on the show. And they’re not.
Anon is right. She didn’t say we tune in for ordinary relationships like Dan/Vanessa. They’re boring. But the problem with Chuck/Blair is that it got too colourful, too vulgar and too abusive. It doesn’t have to mirror our normal lives, but it could reflect the lives of, say, Kate Middleton and Prince William (it’s just an example, it doesn’t matter whether people like them or not, so let’s go there). It should be fantastic, but with a slight touch of reality.

She will, this is a TV show, they will forget certain plots (Chuck/Vanessa anyone? How about Blair/Carter?) and recreate other things. To even believe that Chuck/Blair are really over is to delude yourself.
