24 will be missed, it was one of those shows that could go on for many more years. It is always fresh never stale and Keiffer is
    Jack…forever!
Sorry to see 24 to go and thank all for giving us such a great
    show…one that has always kept
me on the edge of my chair.
Wishing the best always to all
involved in this greatest of all
    shows….I’m 70, I’ve seen a lot
of shows but nothing ever has beat
    24.

Loved 24 for 8 seasons and the finale. Wish Mr Gordon and others would have trusted the loyal fans that have been here from the beginning by bringing Tony, Mandy and Aaron Pierce back. We stuck with you this long – and little wink and a nod to some favorite characters would have been truly memorable.

Last year my roomate brought home season 2 of 24. I have never been into sitcoms or reality tv. He told me a little about the show and suggested I watch it. The next day I watched my first episode. 24 hours later I was on my way to the video store to get season 3. Over the course of the next 6 months I watched seasons 3-7 finally watching season 1 after season 7. One day when I’m a retired and I’m wondering what to do with my life I’m going to relive 24 all over again. I guess what I’m trying to say is Thank You to everyone who helped make 24 possible. I will always remember Jack Bauer

I hope that the movie will pick up where the season ended. Maybe a year or two later, but it would be nice to know what happens to all the players from the last hour, including Logan, Taylor, etc…It would be nice to see some of them back for the movie.

24, 24,aaaah 24, a real movie to be missed. Never imagined seeing it end, and what else shall i watch!!!! Great work Horward.

Thanks again, Howard. The last few minutes of this season’s finale brought tears to my eyes. Very satisfying, emotional ending.

  • Lynn

I sure wish whoever can make it would change their mind about ending 24. It our favorit show. A movie is really not enough. Please rethink ending the series.

Great interview! Thank You Howard for all the work you and the rest of the 24 writers did this season and in previous years. Most importantly thanks should go out to Kiefer Sutherland for bringing to life one of the most memorable characters in TV history. As far as I’m concerned everyone on the show deserves a huge pat on the back….Howard, Kiefer, Mary Lynn…you all deserve you summer vacation…Good luck and see ya in the movies!

Great episode, but it was a little unsatisfying for me in that it felt more like a “season finale” than a “series finale,” perhaps due to the movie. Other than Jack thanking Chloe at the end, it seemed to lack that summing up the series as a whole, an acknowledgment of the entire 8 seasons the show has been on the air. Plus the end kind of reminded me of the end of season 4. I only hope that Chloe, Taylor, Arlo, and Cole don’t get offed in the first 5 minutes of the movie.

Still, a great episode, and I will miss this show, as it’s been one of my all-time favorites since day one, hour one. It’s a shame that it’s finale didn’t get the media attention that “Lost” got. 24 was a better show.

Very touching and emotonal ending. Sutherland is the best. What a great, great show this was; real issues, terrific acting.
    You guys rock!

  • Rachael

Thanks for the great ending! I was sad there was no mention of Tony or others, but I also know that would have been too cheesy. It was great the way it was.

Now THIS is how a finale is suppose to be written.

It was PERFECT that the final emotional moment was between Chloe and Jack. They had a great partnership over the years and it was on the strength of their teamwork that the world was saved for so many years. I loved that Jack forced Chloe to shoot him. I loved that Chloe got to say “shut it down” but the final image was Jack looking up. SO. WELL. DONE.

    • Ab

we’re okay with it because Jack’s heroism was always a bit ambiguous. He crossed lines and the show gives us that in the end, a hero who is a little on the dark side and who will live with that forever. Nice good-by to Chloe at the end.

    • Lynn

I agree. I loved the ending. And it was left open for a movie or maybe another season? .. Guess fans can hope. :)

I’m a bit stupefied over all the glowing reviews of the finale in these comments. While Mary Lynn Rajskub gave a brilliant performance, she was pretty much the only thing I really enjoyed about the finale. Jack running away is just a redo of season 4′s finale. I just feel kind of bitter and fed up that this is how they ended the show. With President Taylor a disgraced failure, Jack an international fugitive and the resolution of the treaty crisis being not justice, but a guilty conscience after it’s already too late. It was a good last image and scene, but the finale, the season, was not satisfying overall. The characters that we’ve cared about have fallen far from grace. Nobody wins, everybody loses. Why are so many of you okay with that?

  • Rod Steel

You will be missed as much as Lost to anyone with a brain!

  • Ryan

That was a very good finale. I love Mandy though, and I just hope maybe we can get her in the movie.
