Sources confirm to me exclusively that Benz — whose onscreen murder at the hands of the Trinity Killer was deemed by EW.com to be the most shocking death in TV history — has signed on to reprise her role as Dexter’s late bride in the first episode of season 5 (debuting this fall).

Specific details of Rita’s “resurrection” are being kept under wraps, but I’m told she is not coming back from the dead. New showrunner/executive producer Chip Johannessen also rules out a spectral visit a la Dexter’s late pa, Harry. “We’re not going to do some ghostly thing with her,” he says. Adds fellow exec producer Sara Colleton: “We reserve those for Harry. If you have too many things like that it becomes gimmicky.”
So how exactly will Benz — who will shoot her Dexter episode before starting work on her new ABC drama, No Ordinary Family — be revived? A Showtime rep would only add that the presence of Rita will “help Dexter deal with his newfound feelings of loss and grief — emotions he has never really felt before.”

Good for her..TGW is one of the best written TV shows on air right now peroid HOUSE has been on the decline for the last 3 seasons..What a great move for her. Besides she had no chemistry with House’ in a sexual way boring indeed! I’m not sure wh is writing for this show and running it for that matter but you lost me 3 seasons ago same ole’ same ole’ When House had clinic duty that was good funny stuff 6 minutes per episode every now and then to change things up Everyone made such a big deal about olivia Wilde who cares she’s not all that in fact she’s quite f..cking boring on this show and with anything else I’ve ever seen her in The real talent that they put on the back burner in every episode is Omar Epps how misued is this guy and Robert Leonard?? seriously. They got rid of Anne Dudek another great talent in a great role opposite Leonard..what a waste. This show is done! Good for you Lisa.

Craig, you reference to Buffy and Angel is so off the mark I have to wonder if: 1) you never watched either show and never read any critiques and/or 2) you were recently dropped on your head by your mother.
The answer is clear: Rita comes back in the form of flashbacks as Dexter learns to grieve.
I feel like I’m the only one who liked Rita and was really upset when she died.
I liked Rita at the beginning, but the wrote the character’s very gradual morph into a domineering, bossy wife with such skill! Before I knew it, I didnt like her. Very nicely done, screenwriter!
She was damaged from “go,” but I have to agree with Juanita: by the end, it would have taken an emotionless, disconnected maniac to put up with Rita. Good writing but painful to watch.
I really like that idea. A clever way to bring her back and give an emotional punch.

I am also in the military and love this wtsibee. If you can keep up with the workouts prescribed here then you are going to be way above your peers in basic training. But if you feel you need more. I would mix in a swim. I know that sounds weird but I find that I run faster when I only run 3 days a week and swim two days. Instead of run all 5 days.

Gary, there are a few reasons for it, one of which is ease of shicduleng. Ideally, the load used in a workout that follows a ME lift will be light relatively speaking; it will provide some more volume on that particular movement.It also allows emphasis to be placed on a specific movement as well, be it posterior chain, push, pull, etc. From our experience, it’s been working from a black box perspective.
