Keir Gilchrist in United States of Tara! please!

I’m always voting for Chris Colfer. He steals every scene he’s in and is the only cast member to bring me to tears (alongside Mike O’Malley)

Both deserve a nod and are honestly the only two I’m rooting for this year…although I wouldn’t say no to a Jane Lynch nomination, but if she’s nominated she had better win.

I think Rico Rodriguez from Modern Family needs to be nominated for an Emmy! I’m tired of Glee winning every award, MF is such an amazing show!

  • sylwia

    Michael Urie all the way!!!!!

  • sylwia

    Michael Urie all the way!!!!!

  • Miguel

hey, great video.cam that very tightness in the hip eflxor and internal rotaion, as demonstrated in the video, lead to anterior knee pain or it band’ syndrome ?what could be the solution for this? which exercises? i think it may be caused by sitting so much on a chair thanks for addressing this

  • Yazmin

I agree 100% with Rayven. I’m an artist cetlunrry signed with Warner Bros I love answering questions like this in hopes that people will spread the word! There’s nothing that I despise more than some management company or production company attempting to sale me a song that they have on their myspace, facebook, public websites. Silently Im thinking .. why would I want them after everyone has heard them already????? Duuuuhhh! That’s the question that I always ask them in our meetings, and to be honest I don’t think they even think about it that way. LOL! If you want to be an artist then I say put the songs on your myspace page. But if you want to sell your music/songs then something like myspace, facebook, twitter etc is not only the WRONG place to go, but a definite dead end to your music/song as far as shopping goes. Perhaps you can keep the song for yourself perform it as your own if its already doing well on your myspace page.

  • Mrs. Doubtfire shimself

They have been stellar this season.

  • Diane

    Definately Howard

  • Maria Corbelli

Add Chris Colfer! He deserves it!

  • cc

Totally agree for Chris Colfer. His scenes with Mike O’Malley are always amazing.

  • Aaron

Brie Larson is consistently mesmerizing as Kate. She lets real emotions simmer beneath a detatched exterior and she still nails all her comic timing.

  • Will

    Seriously? Aubrey Plaza?

  • Quin

Right on. She should submit the hunting trip episode—the spit-take sequence was just delightful.

  • nicole

Ya seriously there’s too many to choose this year ..then shows like us of Tara and weeds and nurse Jackie and such could go in that category

  • Jen

honey, if they made a dramedy category, Ugly Betty would take the cake. No show does it better.

  • Marie

    i couldn’t agree more.
she’s been robbed EVERY year since Ugly Betty began.

  • Vanity Feral

I really hope this does turn out to be VW’s year.

  • anamiii

yes absolutely… she totally deserves the win too

  • lyndsay

Perhaps they want somebody to win from a show that wasn’t CANCELED. and good riddance too

  • M

YES! As much as I enjoy Jane Lynch and the Modern Family women, Vanessa Williams deserves the Emmy after being robbed for the past three years. And Michael Urie too– after watching some season one episodes, you can really see how Marc has changed and grown.

  • commentor

Merritt Wever – Zoey – Nurse Jackie … so great in this role.

Eve Best as Dr. Eleanor O’Hara is also worthy of praise.

  • Grace

Oh THANK YOU for mentioning it. I think Jane Lynch is hilarious on Glee, but VW to me is still better. And she’s been doing it longer and more consistently. How could she not even make this list???

  • dj

Agreed…especially about Ed O’Neill. I think you could make an argument for any of the males in Modern Family.

  • Lindsey

The whole cast is brilliant, but I’d also include Jesse Tyler Ferguson… I could do without Parks & Rec myself, so throw Jesse Tyler in there.

  • Mark

Ed O’Neill for sure. Burrell and Stonestreet get the big laughs, but it’s O’Neill who can break your heart with just one line (“Sometimes being a good dad is just being there”). Add bonus points for disappearing so completely from Ed Bundy (Ty Burrell’s character on “Back To You” had Phil similarities). While I admire the selflessness he took for placing himself in the supporting cataegory, I wish he would have gone lead, so that he and one other male co-star (plus should-be-lead Julie Bowen and Sofia Vergara) could have swept the comedy acting awards!

  • Jen

When then you are an idiot.

  • Jen

*well…I got a little excited there

  • Meier

It’s easy for Jane Lynch to steal the show – the “Glee” cast can’t act for spit.

  • Todd

    Amen to that!

  • Melissa

Your list is incomplete – Jim Parsons!

  • paige

judging by the track record of the supporting actress category the past years Vanessa Williams has been nominated- it takes your show getting off the air to win. so hopefully she’ll get it this time!

  • BlatantURLPimpingMustDie

Dontcha love it when ill-informed people comment? LOL

  • Mandy

These two are amazing and they really carry the show. This year had two of the greatest Office episodes ever and they both centered around Jim and Pam. They deserve to win!

  • Michael

YES! I’m so glad someone finally mentioned Portia de Rossi. That woman is hilarious.

  • Woot

Oh shut up. They are great

  • Jen

I have to agree – most of them cant act.

  • Will

true…most of them can act…however Matthew Morrison (Will Shuester)…it’s embarrassing to watch him try to act.

  • deniz

Thank you Will! So good to know I’m not alone. I cringe watching his scenes. And turn away from the tv when he sings. He tries so damn hard with his weird expressions. urgh! ruins the show

  • Chels725

Amen. The cast as a whole is awful. Jane is amazing though.

  • NoSacredCows

    AGREED!

  • Katiecat

There are a lot of good actors on Glee. For those who have a hate on for Mathew Morrison, I like an actor with an expressive face – I don’t find him overdoing things at all. However, I can advise that you switch to CSI (Miami in particulr) as you can there enjoy all the expressionless acting you prefer.

  • Jack

While this is VERY true, I think Lea Michele and Chris Colfer really shine. Especially in recent episodes, Lea has really impressed me.

  • P D Yerf

It’s not the actors, it’s the writers. They can’t handle character development. If the actors were allowed to develop their characters beyond personality-flipping caricatures their performances would improve greatly. I feel for the actors on that show.

  • Kathy

Just watch the episode where Will finds out his wife has been faking her pregnancy. That was some great acting on his part…I really thought he would hit her. I do wonder, however, if Aus only watches five TV shows….

  • Dan

Then don’t watch the damn show if you don’t think they can act and if you have to “turn away”.

  • DUSTIN

“COME UP WITH SOME ORIGINAL SONGS”-Jeff Winger, The Show Better Than Glee. Abed And Shepherd’s Ex Wife For The Win

  • mary q contrary

Eh. I could take or leave most of them, but Jane Lynch could knock anybody who’s ever won a comedic Emmy out of the water. It will truly be one of the greatest injustice’s ever is she doesn’t take it, but really, even the Emmy’s aren’t that stupid.

  • JC

WHAT A SHOCKER! There are people that ALWAYS have to bring something down. My guess is half of you have never seen the show for more than two minutes and have to put it down because it is all over the place. Typical.

  • Faze Craze

Mike O’Malley has actually been amazing as Kurt’s dad.

  • O’Snap

Eden Sher (The Middle) and Ed Helms (The Office) gave me big-time laughs this season.

  • Allison M

Chris Colfer has been incredibly powerful this season. He should get a nom for bets supporting, and Mike O’Malley should get best guest – fantastic, fantastic duo

  • Jen

Aziz!! for the DJ Roomba episode and his sad storyline with his divorce, he kept it real and funny at the same time.

  • gah

ugh she DOES totally exaggerate. interviews of her compared to the show show how much she does. its awful.

  • Jen

    early july i beleive.

  • JoshP

    Didn’t you read Newsweek? JK…Lol

  • JoshP

With all the new freshman shows that are taking television by strom. The comedy are where the real competition is this year. The whole drama category is just weak this year.

  • yes!

Jane Krakowski is frickin’ PHENOMENAL!! The episode with her stalker alone should get her nominated.

  • murley

jane krakowski is definitely the most underrated on 30 rock. and chris pratt from p&r would be a dream nomination! he can’t be not funny.

  • deniz

Thank you Will! So good to know I’m not alone. I cringe watching his scenes. And turn away from the tv when he sings. He tries so damn hard with his weird expressions. urgh! ruins the show

  • Ciara

I like rachel/jessie/brittany(her one-liners should get an honorary emmy)/emma. But yeah, most of the others are either poor actors or are average-decent hampered by poor scenarios, imo.

  • P D Yerf

  • sable

I absolutely agree with Adam Baldwin and I should have included him on my list. Fabulous as Jayne and equally fabulous as Casey

  • yvan

yes! kaitlin olson needs to be nominated.

  • Kim

I love Community and Parks&Rec, but if there was an Ensemble award, I feel as though Modern Family would nail it. Their chemistry is so great!

  • Jen

haterrrrrrrrr! If anything, I feel sorry for you honey…Ugly Betty is and will always be a show to remember for it’s boldness and beautiful message.
Geez hunny, you’d think someone who spells their name ‘lyndsay’ would be able to accept a different show like Ugly Betty. Damn you have bad taste.

  • Jen

hahaha oh honey, stop making me laugh, it hurts.

  • Jen

um i can! Vanessa Williams and becki newton!

  • murley

i would put jonathan slavin on my dream ballot in a heartbeat.

  • JoshP

You forget this is the Emmys where new shows beat out old shows all the time. I don’t see Ugly Betty’s mediocre run this year having enough strength to muscle its way into the race. With Glee Modern Family and Community and Big Bang Theory basically comming onto our cultural radar this year Betty is knocked out.

  • Jen

What..? Hello 30 Rock? Tina Fey? Alex Baldwin? They’ve won 3 times in a row honey. Old is gold.

  • Jen

    *Alec oops lol

  • Sal

    Agreed!

  • Bobby’s Robot

NPH and Rainn Wilson should be nommed until they finally (deservedly) win.

  • Sabrina

    Get in line!

  • Kurt

I think the whole Tara cast should be nominated, especially John Corbett. But Brie Larson is truly special, and not just because she can be hilarious sitting on a cake.

  • Garrett

completley agree love both of them but after the last few episodes i would have to give it to Beckeet if only one was chosen

  • Garrett

no to Heather Morris and Naya Rivera if anyone got one it should be Amber Riley and In Acto Chris Colfer is great but you cant ignore Kevin McHale

  • Eric

WORD to Merritt Wever. She is the best thing about that amazing show. A totally glamorless role, and she just goes for it.

  • D.

I was scrolling down waiting for someone to mention Zoey. She is fabulous!

  • Kdw

Merrit Wever as Zooey is amazing! The best part of the entire show Dr. O’Hara and Akalitus are inspired as well. Actually my least favorite part of the show is Jackie, which is saying something b/c Edie Falco is amazing! Coop deserves a nod as well! I’m sick of the same shows getting nominated year after year these lists need to be shaken up even if 30 Rock and Mad Men win ultimately. At least let the little guys into the club!

  • Jethro

Vanessa W. will never be considered an actress, just a beauty queen stripped of her crown.

  • Mark

Absolutely right about Kaley Cuoco from the Big Bang Theory. Her combination of confusion, admiration and exasperation about the three nerd geniuses that surround her make Cuoco the perfect audience entrance point. Getting laughs despite the larger than life personalittes around her is hard work. The show’s hidden gem!

  • Cara

Chris Colfer definitely deserves it! He conveys more emotion than any other actor, and is extremely funny to boot. And I’d add the guy who plays his dad (sorry, I forget the actor’s name.)

  • veronica

    @Cara – Mike O’Malley (and yes, he’s fantastic!)

  • Kiki

Kurt FTW! And I want to hear his speech!

  • Meli

Absolutely agree – no one does comedy better than Jane Lynch!

  • ObiHave

    No doubt!!!

  • Bonnie

I like both Colfer and O’Malley, maybe O’Malley hasn’t done enough epis but he has been great, probably in large part to do with the writing. I bet he’d be up for an Emmy if he were a b*stard of a father in a gritty cable show, but being a struggling, midwestern dad trying to do right by his motherless son is not worthy??

  • s

O’Malley is in guest. I would absolutely love it if Chris Colfer got in! “Kurt’s Turn” was outstanding!

  • KCC

    @cc
don’t get me wrong, i think (chris colfer and Mike O’Malley) there scenes are great…but they are more dramatic than comedic…

  • KCC

I mean you can’t really say there scenes TOGETHER are funny…

  • Donald

Fringe is not a comedy. John Noble IS mentioned in the drama category

  • Grace

Love Kunal Nayyar on TBBT this season! Loved him before that too, but for me the show dipped a little in quality this season while Raj just got better.

  • maya

    I second that!
