Yay for Better Off Ted stars! I do hope they get recognized, but I know that’s almost impossible.

Edie Falco and Jim Parsons/Steve Carell FTW! :D

  • Sarah

Portia de Rossi and Jim Parsons FTW! (would LOVE to see Zach Levi nominated too).

  • Michele

    Adam Scott–Party Down.

    • Kurt

      Good call.

  • Paul

Couldn’t agree more with all of those choices. However, I’d love to see Yvonne Strahovski get some academy love.

  • Abe

I’d like to see Patrcia Heaton nominated for “The Middle”. I feel its an underrated show.

  • Ciara

replace portia derossi with lea michele and the rest is grand

If only the emmy voting was based on biggest breast size. Julia Louis-Dreyfus would win every year!! lol. But seriously, she’s freakin stacked.

    • Flashback

Ah, yes. Reminds me of the era when Pamela Anderson would win every year for “Baywatch”.

  • pop

YAY for putting zach levi on there and leaving off toni collette and charlie sheen!

  • susan

what about Lea Michele from Glee?? she def. deserves to be on this list!

    • Mari

Lea Michele has a great voice, but it at best a mediocre actress. No way she deserves an Emmy nod.

      • jeu

no. she carries the show. people would not love rachel (or glee) like they do if she wasnt brilliant.

      • melissa

i completely agree! everyone that i talk to about glee is so annoyed by lea and wish every episode was not centered around her!!

    • gah

plus she way overemotes when she is singing. its starting to really bother me.

      • M

I can’t decide if the overemotion is supposed to be part of her character or if she always overemotes while singing. Either way it has got to go.

      • HoneyB

I think that’s her character. I saw her on Broadway for Spring Awakening, and she was not as overemotive.

    • Chris

I totally agree Susan. She most definitely deserves a nomination. She’s the best part of the show, at least for me.

      • Lu

I really think Lea deserves a nomination, she’s an amazing actress, not just a great singer!

    • Not Me

I think Lea has talent but she needs to simmer down on the diva stuff on the show and in real life. She has a beautiful voice but that does not a Leading Actress candidate make. Plus she needs to learn that her stage experience does not translate to her being on stage on the little screen. She is playing her role way too over the top for my likes. A little subtlety can go a long way… In fact, I can’t think of a leading actress on Glee, though I suppose Rachel would be the closest.

    • murley

she is playing a diva, that is the point. if she were overacting for the role then the director would pull her back. i think lea deserves a nod without a doubt. she owns that role.

  • Kiki

Totally agree with your list … especially Portia and Ted !

  • s

Where is Vanessa Williams for Ugly Betty???

    • ZACH

She should definitely win this year, but that would be Supporting. Now where’s America Ferrerra?

    • M

America Ferrera should be nominated. She did some fantastic work this year.

    • Hilary

VW would be supporting and yes I agree…America Ferrera had a great year and took Betty to new places. I hope she gets a nomination…she had some great moments this year.

  • Marissa

Amy Poehler definitely deserves an Emmy for Parks & Rec. That show is all kinds of awesome, due in great part to her performance as Leslie Knope.

  • CiCi217

Jim Parsons and Julia L-D all the way. I agree that Courtney has done well with her Cougartown role. Totally believable as Jules and you do not even think about Monica anymore. A great accomplishment after being typecasted.

No more 30Rock nominations please. That show is so overated it isn’t funny.

  • Fabiola

Toni freaking Collette, where is she? And as much as I love Cougar Town, Cox’s acting skills really cannot be compared to the other women who could be potentially nominated. She is weak, imo.

  • Paul

Shame, Michael; no recognition of the best comedy on the air today; Party Down??? Lizzy Caplan, Adam Scott and Ken Marino are the equals of anybody on your list. :(
