I just watched the season 7 premiere. I think she along with Avery did great! They really fit right into the cast. I especially enjoyed the scene where everyone was eating lunch in the hallway. The others have accepted them as part of the group!

You have to admit thought that April is supposed to be annoying. If she is, than Sarah is doing an amazing job!! I’d watch her any day and any where. She’s a fresh face and hollywood is lucky to have her. She plays the part of April so well, because April is supposed to be an annoyig person. You have to admit that Sarah plays the part perfectly.

exactly sinicalgrl. Avery is an amazing intelligent, witty, charming, character and a good dr. to boot. April is a horrid dr, a whiney crybaby, a creepy stalker of a known married man. She’s a waste of screentime.
nope, I don’t mind her too. She’s a good actress. They should really get rid of Teddy. I can see April still existing and not having to sleep with anyone on the show. Teddy on the other hand, without the Owen/Cristina triangle she’s no longer interesting. I didn’t find her interesting in the first place anyway, but after the finale… what the heck is she still doing around?

I know we are talking about a character in a TV show, but this sort of deep hatred for a young woman, who may be annoying, but after all is learning how to become a surgeon in order to save lives, worries me a little bit.
well grey’s has only really lost 3 actors in 6 seasons. technically 5 but brooke smith/erica was there for just 1 season really and kate walsh got a spin-off. it’s the adding doctors in that it likes to really do
I’m sorry. I hated Reed. She was a total bitch all the time. So much so, she really became a one note character. I certainly don’t *love* April, but she has more redeeming qualities to her. She kind of reminds me of “Little Grey.” When Lexie was first introduced, I couldn’t stand her. And just like April, Lexie started out as a possible love interest/red herring for Derek. Now she’s more well rounded and endearing. Give it time…at least I don’t have to hear one more bitch remark from Reed.
I’m with the others. There are the ‘villainous’ character you love to hate (Reid) and then character you just hate (April). She’s just plain old annoying. The exhibit A you gave.. pfft. Ausiello is clearly biased with the Everwood alumuni. Case point – the annoying Rebecca on B&S, I like Emily but she sucks there. Same with Sarah here.

yeah I was seriously upset that she got McDreamy shot and then didn’t get shot herself. BUT, as upset as I am, who knows what Shondra will do with her. I mean I HATED (even more than April) Addison and Lexie when they first came on and Lexie is now one of my faves. who knows. I definitely would have preferred Reed to April though. I thought Reed had a lot of potential.

She definitely happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time, but from that to saying that “she got McDreamy shot” there’s a big difference. I didn’t like her much before the finale, because I think she behaved more like a schoolgirl than like a surgeon (I wouldn’t have trusted her with my own appendix), but Sarah Drew gave such an amazing performance of panic-stricken April in the finale, that I’m sure, with a good story line she will be an interesting addition to the cast.

Did I say “When Lexie first came on everyone hated her and now not a single fan hates her at all”? I said she’s a fan favourite because a lot of fans love her now. The fact Coco put “I thought I was alone” shows that. Every character has some people that hate him/her.
ER never had a lead. In GA, it has painted EP & PD’s characters as central to the show. So it’s a pretty safe bet that if these two leave, the show will take a very hard hit and won’t survive the entire season after.
The Nielson Ratings put Grey’s at Nr. 5 for the week of the Finale and Nr. 6. for the overall viewing year. It is the fourth highest money earner on T.V.! So where do you get your information???

Look at how Lexie took over S6 while Merder were backburnered. Shonda HATES Meredith and will stop at nothing to ruin her storylines. April is a loser. She’s a horrible dr. and is responsible for patients dying and Mr. Clarke’s rampage. Derek wasn’t to blame. It was April. I hate her character. I know nothing of Sarah Drew but April should’ve been killed in the finale. I couldn’t stand her whining, inappropriate unprofessional behavior to Meredith, stalking Derek, ineptitude at her job. She’s just pathetic. Shonda should start taking her smart pills again.
