She’d better not mess with MerDer. Do not want.
What possible plot could they possibly give this character other than to interfere with MerDer that anyone would care about? Don’t like her at all. So she lost her best friend…still not enough to endear her character – not after getting McDreamy shot with her nonsense. She’s just not an interesting character at all to me. Boo! LOL
Shonda is as crazy as usual. That lame heart to heart between April and Mer was nothing but Shonda trying to pimp out that horrid April. She is gross. She brings absolutely nothing to GA. Shonda will keep driving GA into the dust with crap like this. She has a goldmine w/ the EP/PD chemistry as well as SO yet she pushes inane horrid characters like April. FAIL…EPIC FAIL!
I continue to find it amusing that when Jesse was announced as joining the cast as a regular, comments were “Oh yeah he’s hot!” and so forth.

exactly sinicalgrl. Avery is an amazing intelligent, witty, charming, character and a good dr. to boot. April is a horrid dr, a whiney crybaby, a creepy stalker of a known married man. She’s a waste of screentime.
While the character hasn’t been particularly loveable, I think we’ll see a change in her this season, what with her best friend being murdered and then discovering her body and being covered in her blood and all..
also I do think Sarah Drew is a fantastic actress. Everwood fan forever!!

The only reason Shonda is keeping her is to be another contrived plot device to break up Merder next season. Shonda is a huge idiot.
um no she is not. shonda has said many times that merder are “together forever.” april may have a storyline with them, but i don’t expect any cheating or breaking up or “back to square 1″ stories the two of them next season.
It would be interesting to see if she can shake up Meredith and Derek’s happiness next season…

Sounds good to me. Love the actress and the character has been effectively written so far for what they wanted her to do; I think she has a lot of growth potential and am really excited to see what they do with her.

Man, this girl just gets on my last nerve. Hate to hear they signed her on full time. Part time was bad enough now we have to listen to her whining and butt kissing full time….UH!!!
