Good point, Mcat. I mentioned Weatherly/Tony to a couple of friends at work while discussing NCIS and one said, “Tony . . . that’s the goofy one, right?” I like Tony and a bit of humor is great, but I don’t like the way they’ve increasingly tended to write him as a doofus.

Agree mcat! We got too much Goofy!Tony this season. As much as I love the comedy he brings, it was way too much. They need to balance it out better. Bring on more eps like ‘Truth or Consequences’ and ‘Flesh and Blood’.

Mammn I was hoping Vance would disappear over the summer. It is bad enough he clutters up the NCIS landscape he also stinks up NCIS:LA which I am trying to like.
How about less Hart? She’s a sucky foil for Gibbs.
Peaches: YOU can “piss off”. The disdain for Vance is based on the CHARACTER!!!! (insert DUH here!) Rocky Carroll is a wonderful actor but Director Vance is humorless and boring. No need to bring race into this discussion.

Geo and PJS, why you have to go hating on Vance (Rocky Carroll). Is it that you hate to see a black man in a lead role? Gosh, man, Vance is very strong, and his character and role balances well with Jethro. I love his character and while I was sad when they killed off Lauren Holly’s character, I find Vance to be wonderful replacement. So stop your negativity, both of you, and piss off!
Agree, love Tobias and could use more Muse Watson as Mike Franks. The Franks/Gibbs interaction is great!

No you are not the only one who can’t stand Director Vance! I also hoped they would get rid of him from both NCIS and NCIS-LA.
Also, I have a feeling Mike Franks mught be killed off soon or maybe Gibbs’ father — both characters I enjoy watching on the rare occasions they are on. Give them more time.
And get rid of Vance and definitely get rid of Rena Sofer’s character, please!! She’s a fine actress, but she is not good for this show (i.e., I hope she does not wind up with Gibbs!).
