The simplicity says a lot…other than the starting over I see a strong message due to his exobishonist stance in front of the window that says he will be revealing more of himself to the world..Cool!!
But think about the opening credits — the falling man…
The last poster showed a man about to drown…
This English girl loves everything about Mad Men — apart from the English accents — and the next season is the only reason for looking forward to autumn (or fall, as you would say)

The image also conveys that NYC is there for the taking which compliments Don’s character nicely.

There are lots of interesting ways to go next season. Does anyone else think that Peggy might just become gay? She has certainly become disenchanted with men. Betty has become so cranky and a terrible mother. Something is going to develop with her this season, I think.

I simply couldn’t depart your website prior to suggesting that I actually enjoyed the usual info an individual provide on your visitors? Is going to be again regularly in order to check out new posts
I don’t see why…it’s a stylized image in a throwback, semi-drawn looking style.
Agreed. The feet are especially sloppy.
I agree on all counts.
which is how BBD&O came about
Was that really necessary.. Probably not.
I beg to differ- a key aspect of the show is the forthcoming social change looming over everyone. Betty portrays the “ideal” woman of the 50s, how women before the change were supposed act and think. Peggy, on the other hand, is what’s coming- an independent woman with a life and career of her own, not a mere trophy wife.
And Joan is caught somewhere in the middle…wanting to be the doting wife, yet struggling to stand by her man. And in her work life she’s the power behind all the men and she knows it, loves it, but also wants to break out and have her OWN work to do but she’s overlooked by the men she’s supporting. The younger Peggy got the break into copy writing, but Peggy is more able to let her ambitions be known. Joan isn’t supposed to have such ambitions.
I had a poster of Ricky Nelson in 1961 (I’m sorry to say). That just gave my age away!
Why bother to say anything if you don’t even like the show. . .
The people who point out historic inaccuracies are not trying to lambaste the set decorators. Part of the fun of watching the show is taking note of props, costumes, hairstyles, etc. Wouldn’t it be clever to intentionally include something inaccurate in each episode, just to see how quickly it might be noticed? Kind of like a “Where’s Waldo” of Madmen. If you don’t care about that, fine, but don’t insult the people that do. Why would you produce a show set in the 60′s if you didn’t care about historical accuracy? I believe the makers of the show care a lot and appreciate the comments.
