I cannot stand Janeane Garofolo. I used to like her acting, but her politics have so ruined me on her that I can’t stand to watch the show. Too bad – I like Criminal Minds and was looking forward to the new show.

I skipped Season 6 of my favorite show ever, 24, when this putrid hag showed up. Thankfully, she wasn’t on Season 7. I really like CM, but will not risk damaging my TV screen by watching a show with her on it.

I was looking forward to a spin off sometimes not often they are wonderful, Frasier, for example. I did find the pilot long and boring. I was hoping they would polish it up again. When I found that they had added Janeane to the cast( to add the dimension of Garcia to the cast I could only guess ), I decided I would not be watching the show. She seems to always play herself sarcastic dark in a supposedly comic way. I also don’t appreciate her ( comical) way of commentary whether for right or left. If she doesn’t want to be judged for political views perhaps she shouldn’t be so caustic or vocal.

Or get her a good comedy where she can make fun of dumb people. A talk show, or a sitcom.

You guys are so unaware of how TV shows are funded, what connects them, and how. AJ was not fired so that a totally different show with a completely separate budget could get Janeane Garofalo. Criminal Minds has been on for a long time and is, therefore, very expensive. While I’m very unhappy that they cut a terrific actress so they could get a cheaper one, you are putting events together that are not directly connected. They are, financially, separate entities.

People like you are the reason why more and more people are turning away from the left and becoming right-leaning independents and libertarians. Not everyone who disagrees with extreme left politics is a “right wing nut.” Aren’t you exactly what you’re accusing Michelle of being, you hypocrite?

I, too, would never accuse anyone of being classless. but in the bizarro-world of paternalistic condescending limousine liberals who show daily how silly and useless they are, she is unparalleled!!

In this case I’m glad they haven’t figured it out. I hope this spin-off fails so spectacularly that *ALL* networks will tell the story for years to come as a cautionary tale to any idiot writers/producers that want to make a spin-off of any show.

I’ll still watch the original CM, through the end of **SEASON 6**, AJ’s and Paget’s last season, and then I’m dropping CM. I’m not going to watch the CM spinoff AT ALL. CBS brought this on themselves. I’ve been watching CM since the beginning, but after Season 6, I’m done with it.

Maybe they’re self-destructive?
Maybe they don’t care about the fans.
Maybe they don’t know what they’re doing?
Maybe a new CBS suit wanted to make his/her mark on a show to justify his/her existence?

Not likely. Usually the show being screwed with, pays the price, and the suits involved get promoted.

NCIS-LA isn’t as bad as the CM spinoff is going to be. At least NCIS didn’t lose cast members when NCIS-LA was made.

I disliked the CM-to-CM Spinoff episode (CM S5E18 “The Fight”), because the whole episode seemed forced, and disliked Forest Whitaker in this role. [Liked him in the movie "Downtown" (1990) with Anthony Edwards, "Bird" (1988) and "The Twilight Zone" (2002, TV).]
