I just started watching “Party Down”. It’s one of the best shows on the air. I guess if you don’t take TV guide, [ is there still such a thing?] or you watch mainly news your not introduced to some great shows. Some other station should pick this up. All there is is reality TV which is really getting tiring. I love this show.

  • Bruno Fontana

C’mon, how can you say nobody watched Gravity!?

    It’s an amazing series!

This TV ratings can’t be used nowadayes.

You should measure the show popularity by torrent peers/seeds numbers!

Just found out about this show a few days ago on an Air Canada flight. It’s a shame it was canceled, it’s one of my favourite shows now. Considering how many people here are saying that, it might have been in Starz best interest to wait at least another season.
If it’s any reconciliation, Rob Thomas has pitched a new show very similar to NBC called ‘Temps’. It won’t be as edgy and full of profanity/nudity as Party Down was, but I’m still looking forward to it.

Party Down is funny, but very wordy for American T.V, frankly, I`m surpized it made it to second season.

  • james

im disabled, and watch anything thats seems to be a good program to me.its funny,i havent even herd of party down.but i do think that true blood is sometimes great to watch.but youve got to keep up with whats going on.i dont watch tv with commercials though.only movie channels for me.ill have to check out party down and see what all the arguing is about.atleast with true blood you never know what there going to come up with next.even if it is only fantasy!!!

    • james

i take back what i said in last comment.i have seen party down.it was a pretty good program.it lasted longer then i thought it would.still like true blood just a little better.sorry!!!!!!!!

  • Ian Brown

Man, I loved Party Down, I found it on “Netflix” earlier today, only five episodes could be watched instantly, but I watched them, I should’ve been doing school work, but it was such an enticing show, shouldn’t have been canceled, I would’ve been a true fan all the way through

  • Aqeel

Gravity was wonderful! All the good shows get yanked but the world still gets crap like Boardwalk, Spartacus, Jersey Shore. Carnival-great, Mind of the Married Man-amazing. Gravity- honest and great. Fuck tv!

  • Shyytt

    I liked Gravity.

  • Tucker

    “*I* was saying ‘Boo-urns’…” :-D

  • Rachel

The Children’s Hospital thing had nothing to do with the cancellation. Those have been in the can for months and would have had no effect on Ken and Megan’s involvement on PD.

  • murley

but that is just it and rob thomas himself said it – the premise lent itself to a revolving cast. i was sad when jane left but jennifer coolidge and then megan mullally both added a great new dynamic. sorry, i just think starz blew it on this one.

  • Sue

Now we’ll never know why Miller was stalking Lily….bummer. I really liked this show!

  • Will

Thank you! I hate these message boards because all it is are people trashing other shows.

  • Luisa

You do realize this is just an entertainment website, right? Maybe TV matters more to us than it does to you. Go read about “important” stuff elsewhere if that’s the case, and let us mourn Party Down properly.

  • @….

    Douche

  • dat

with true Blood. Keep Hung. Yum

  • andy

Barry, have you seen Party Down? Are you a fan of CBS procedurals? Do you have two brain cells to rub together? Even if you don’t appreciate the humor, it’s glaringly obvious that Party Down was not trash. Try to be an adult. I know it’s hard but give it a shot.

  • minister

wait, what about Spartacus: Blood and Sand… ahahahahahahahahahahahahaahaahahahahahha

  • Tanner

Also, what else does Starz have to offer? I’ve never watched one second of anything on this channel other than Party Down, ever.

  • Joe

I don’t watch television to see the movies it picks out for me. I watch ONLY for shows like Party Down. When they’re all gone, so will my cable be. Starz is not the first against the wall in this losing battle.

  • Rock9393

    …well said.

  • Rock9393

yeah, but think of it this way, now we can all cancel Starz from our cable packages. They now have NOTHING to offer.
