I think it kinda sucks they moved Supernatural to Friday. It should have stuck with Vampire Diaries *sigh* LoL

    • lorna

I agree. Hey where’s Melrose Place? I kid. Loved MP, should have axed 90210 instead. Will not watch any new CW shwos since MP was azed.

  • sooz

Wow, CW moving Superntural to Friday nights. I’ll take it that is definitely it’s last season if it’s sending to a night where no one watches TV.

    • cassi

Shut up, it’s not their last season, it didn’t even air yet!Have you been under a stone! The CW has moved even the Supernatural re-runs to Friday.

      • W0NK042

It should be, or to be honest: There shouldn’t even BE a 6th series. It was written as a 5yr/series story arc & should of been left as such. Don’t get me wrong, I love the show, but think they should of left everyone wanting more (while it was good) rather than chance losing it.

      • Heather

We should wait and see how season 6 is before we start saying Supernatural should have ended or whether there should be more seasons. I, for one, have total faith in Sera Gamble that she’ll make it work. Friday night is only a death slot if the fans allow it to be!! We Supernatural fans are a loyal bunch so I think it will be fine!

      • Machunny

        @ Heather
I agree. They haven’t let me down yet, and I don’t think they’d continue if they didn’t have more to give the audience. This season is supposed to concentrate more on the brothers and their relationship, which I will be happy to watch (okay, TIVO) any day of the week.
That said, the CW really screws over SPN when it comes to promoting and supporting this show.

      • Drew

The five year story for Supernatural is over. Nothing changed that. What we’re getting now is a new story. So, nothing has been betrayed. Nothing is being stretched beyond its limits. The producers created a large universe of possibilities within the show. There’s no reason why it must end with the end of that one story. The characters are still strong. The writing hasn’t shown signs of slipping. The production value is great. So, why would you consider it a mistake to have a new story introduced? Think of it as a new book with familiar characters.

      • Ariel

I love Supernatural and think it could probably run another three years. It’s fun and campy and scifi awesomeness. This year was really good. I think there’s more evolution that they can do for the characters.

      • PixxieTrixxie

I for one am glad that it is moving to Friday – I will watch it live then rather than waiting for the box set to come out after the season is over. I love this show and hope that it’s audience follows it to Friday.

      • Clarissa

@Drew Couldn’t of said it better myself. The show is just as strong if not stronger than whe it first started and I only see it getting better. Give the new season a chance before claiming it’s a mistake. Sera has been with the show from the beginning. She know’s what she’s doing, and Eric is there to make sure that happens! In no way has he abandoned Supernatural. This is his baby, and the true fans will stick by their show no matter what night it’s on.

      • Catie

I love Supernatural but I am so sick of shows sticking around just because they continue to have a fan base – anyone remember the X-files??? I LOVED that show but they just kept pushing the story line until it got to the point that I didn’t like to watch it anymore. I will continue to watch Supernatural and I was originally super happy to hear it got renewed for a 6th year but I felt that the season 5 finale was the PERFECT way to end the show.

    • smallville has done well with the friday slot + they need to launch a new show behind the vampire diaries while it’s still a big hit.

      • cassi

Who cares about stupid Smallville! Then move TVD to Tuesdays!!!!!!

      • W0NK042

Done well?! It lost it about 2 series back. HAD watched it from the beginning, but lost ALL interest in it. *Yawn*

      • Zoey

What? NO! I’ve got Glee on Tuesdays, TVD is fine where it is. Besides, it’s the network’s best show right now. They’re not gonna move it anytime soon.

  • cassi

This sucks!! Why is the Supernatural premiere so late compared to the other shows? Stupid CW!!!! Why not a week earlier with all the other shows!

    • Heather

I totally agree, Hellatus is killing me, I don’t want to wait through the whole month of September too!

    • LindaH

As hard as the wait will be, it will me fewer shorter hiatuses mid-season. I’m trying to look at the bright side.

      • Zoey

LindaH is right. As thrilled as I am that Vampire Diaries is back so early, that just means there’s a longer hiatus later on, which will be torture. At least if ir premiered a little later, I wouldn’t care so much because the summer wait will have been so long already, so a few weeks wouldn’t make a difference.

      • Clarissa

@LindaH – That’s very true. I was just thinking that the other day. Gotta look on the bright side here! That 2 1/2 winter hiatus nearly killed me. I was barely recovering from summer hiatus at that point. lol

    • Machunny

I think they’re premiering the week after the Season 5 DVD drops. Jerks.

      • Machunny

Sorry, I meant the folks making me wait for SPN are jerks, not the people complaining about the wait.

    • SilentRage

cassi, serious question…you’re like 12 right?

  • Topher

IDIOTS. How can they miss launching the new season of 90210 on 9-02-10?

    • Alia

      Cute, Topher.

      • Topher

Seriously though! It has been a date that has been ingrained in me for YEARS. How could CW programming miss that?

    • cassi

I would prefer going to hell before I watch that crap!

      • Alisa

        LOL! ITA.

      • W0NK042

I agree. The original was “Ok”, but the fact it’s ANOTHER remake, put me off. (& don’t get me started on the (cr@p) re-make of “V” getting in over “Flashforward”).

      • ash.

Thank you WONK042! that was my consensus exactly… “Flashforward” was so much better then “V” (even though I actually did enjoy the remake series of V it just wasn’t better then Flashforward and didn’t deserve to be chosen over Flashforward).

  • timotey

Supernatural and Smallville won’t return till Sept. 24? Why when ANTM’s coming back on Sept. 8? Oh well, maybe I’ll manage to catch up on SV before then – still 8 seasons to go :)

    • OMGq

What are they bringing ANTM back?? That show is so BEYOND lame – and Tyra & Co have the worst possible taste in models.

  • mayiya

I’m really missing my Smallville :(

Friday, September 24 seems so far away

  • mimi

yay! september 13! GG in paris.

    • lala

      lame

  • Michelle

Who’s in charge of the countdown clock for TVD? :D

  • Michael

I think it’s a mistake to launch TVD too early. That happened last year and the momentum died down a bit because of the long hiatus(es) midseason. For all the shows.

    • mary q contrary

I think it’s a smart move. The people who didn’t tune in last year will get another chance to check it out, because it will most likely premiere before the majority of other network shows. Everyone will be mourning the loss of True Blood and their other summer shows, but the hiatus will still be in effect for, like, 80% of tv land. People will be chomping at the bit just to watch something that’s not a rerun or reality tv.

  • Jenn

I never thought I would be relieved to see Supernatural getting a later start date. Why? Because in the greater New York area the CW is going to be pre-empting for a Mets game on 9/10!

    • Shaula

Thank you for sharing this info! You’re right, it’s better this way. :)

  • Elle

It figures, I won’t be home for the Supernatural premiere since it’s my nephews birthday BUT if it was on Thursday still, I WOULD!!

    • jasper

why be a dumba**. invest in a dvr or DL it online. you people are on my last nerve with this crap.

  • Rasha

If the cast of GG is actually going to Paris and Supernatural still doesn’t get ANY promotion and it’s still on Friday nights, that’s going to be so unfair.

    • cassi

Which is exactly what’s gonna happen!

  • Starr

Seems like CW is trying to make sure OTH and LU fail by moving them to Tuesday night where they will go up against both NCIS’. Hopefully they’ll make it. Luv OTH!

    • jasper

i doubt a small % of people who watch NCIS care about LUX and vice versa.

    • Amy

The CW doesn’t need to do anything to make OTH fail. It does that all on its own. This is coming from a huge OTH fan. It is ridiculous that the show is still on.

      • mary q contrary

Totally agreed. I watched the first 3 or 4 seasons, but it just kept getting worse. I caught an episode last season, and had to scrape my jaw off the floor it was so bad.

      • Allison

As bad as OTH is, I can’t miss an episode. If there’s any justice in the world, Quinn (Shantel van Santen is an AWFUL actress)won’t survive the shooting. But the writers won’t do that to Haley. They’ll probably kill Clay who, while hot, is totally pointless. This has got to be the last season. There’s just nowhere else for this show to go.

      • lorna

Was a diehard OTH actress til mid s5. Show has sucked since. I LOVE Clay. Brooke was written terribly this season. Can’t stand Haley.

  • Toby

I can’t wait for the One Tree Hill Premiere!!! I love this Show!!!!

  • Alex

Oh I love how the Supernatural fans are feeling what Smallville fans did last year when it got shafted to Friday…
Can’t wait for Smallville or Life Unexpected.
Will have to check out Hellcats, the trailer looked promising and it’s Tom Welling produced…

    • cassi

Don’t mention Supernatural together with that stupid show!!!

      • F.

Could you just show some repect for others shows? I doesn’t mean that if you like only Supernatural all the others shows on the CW are stupid. I’m not a Smallville or Life Unexpected fans BUT i DO respect the both shows and the fans. Please do the same you’re being really rude.

      • F.

And Smallville is at its TENTH season honey, and sometime it has better ratings than Supernatural even if it airs on Friday. So if i were you i’d be REALLY careful.
Reapeat i’m NOT a Smallville fan.

    • Nic

*Blinks* Wow… I’m glad that you got your revenge then. *Snorts*

As for me, I don’t really see too much problem. I know it’s not a good day, but Smallville did great even on Fridays. If Supernatural will do good it’ll depend on us, its fans.

I don’t know… I think I’m just happy that we got one more year with Sam and Dean.
