    yay! i love supernatural!

  • Sam Carter

Im happy Smallville and Supernatral are back to back. Those are the two key shows I watch and enjoy. My opinon I dont hate TVD its just that I get the vibe there trying to be like twilight mix with true blood and a bit of buffy and thats not the type of show im looking for.

  • justin

They moved supernatural with smallville like it was originally. And it doesnt matter if you miss an episode becuz you can watch it on cwtv.com.

Thanks for interesting blog post. You guys are always provide information that it makes it impossible not to want to buy your next product ;I can¡¯t wait to see what you guys come up with based on all your research and data that you gather.

  • cassi

Which is exactly what’s gonna happen!

  • cassi

Don’t mention Supernatural together with that stupid show!!!

  • Nic

*Blinks* Wow… I’m glad that you got your revenge then. *Snorts*

As for me, I don’t really see too much problem. I know it’s not a good day, but Smallville did great even on Fridays. If Supernatural will do good it’ll depend on us, its fans.

I don’t know… I think I’m just happy that we got one more year with Sam and Dean.

  • W0NK042

It should be, or to be honest: There shouldn’t even BE a 6th series. It was written as a 5yr/series story arc & should of been left as such. Don’t get me wrong, I love the show, but think they should of left everyone wanting more (while it was good) rather than chance losing it.

  • Heather

We should wait and see how season 6 is before we start saying Supernatural should have ended or whether there should be more seasons. I, for one, have total faith in Sera Gamble that she’ll make it work. Friday night is only a death slot if the fans allow it to be!! We Supernatural fans are a loyal bunch so I think it will be fine!

  • Machunny

    @ Heather
I agree. They haven’t let me down yet, and I don’t think they’d continue if they didn’t have more to give the audience. This season is supposed to concentrate more on the brothers and their relationship, which I will be happy to watch (okay, TIVO) any day of the week.
That said, the CW really screws over SPN when it comes to promoting and supporting this show.

  • Drew

The five year story for Supernatural is over. Nothing changed that. What we’re getting now is a new story. So, nothing has been betrayed. Nothing is being stretched beyond its limits. The producers created a large universe of possibilities within the show. There’s no reason why it must end with the end of that one story. The characters are still strong. The writing hasn’t shown signs of slipping. The production value is great. So, why would you consider it a mistake to have a new story introduced? Think of it as a new book with familiar characters.

  • Ariel

I love Supernatural and think it could probably run another three years. It’s fun and campy and scifi awesomeness. This year was really good. I think there’s more evolution that they can do for the characters.

  • sooz

Thanks for the intelligent reply. I’m a big Supernatural fan and love that show is still on the air, but Friday night is not a good slot for TV shows.

That’s just the way it works.

Plus, it doesn’t need to air yet to be able to speculate on what certain moves mean.

  • PixxieTrixxie

I for one am glad that it is moving to Friday – I will watch it live then rather than waiting for the box set to come out after the season is over. I love this show and hope that it’s audience follows it to Friday.

  • Clarissa

@Drew Couldn’t of said it better myself. The show is just as strong if not stronger than whe it first started and I only see it getting better. Give the new season a chance before claiming it’s a mistake. Sera has been with the show from the beginning. She know’s what she’s doing, and Eric is there to make sure that happens! In no way has he abandoned Supernatural. This is his baby, and the true fans will stick by their show no matter what night it’s on.

  • Catie

I love Supernatural but I am so sick of shows sticking around just because they continue to have a fan base – anyone remember the X-files??? I LOVED that show but they just kept pushing the story line until it got to the point that I didn’t like to watch it anymore. I will continue to watch Supernatural and I was originally super happy to hear it got renewed for a 6th year but I felt that the season 5 finale was the PERFECT way to end the show.

  • lala

    lame

  • W0NK042

Done well?! It lost it about 2 series back. HAD watched it from the beginning, but lost ALL interest in it. *Yawn*

  • Zoey

What? NO! I’ve got Glee on Tuesdays, TVD is fine where it is. Besides, it’s the network’s best show right now. They’re not gonna move it anytime soon.

  • Brett

Who cares about stupid “TVD”? Move “Smallville” back to Thursdays!

  • W0NK042

I agree. The original was “Ok”, but the fact it’s ANOTHER remake, put me off. (& don’t get me started on the (cr@p) re-make of “V” getting in over “Flashforward”).

  • ash.

Thank you WONK042! that was my consensus exactly… “Flashforward” was so much better then “V” (even though I actually did enjoy the remake series of V it just wasn’t better then Flashforward and didn’t deserve to be chosen over Flashforward).

  • APJ

Supernatural started and ran for 4 of its 5 seasons after Smallville, they work great together; it will be good to have them together again!!

  • Heather

I totally agree, Hellatus is killing me, I don’t want to wait through the whole month of September too!

  • LindaH

As hard as the wait will be, it will me fewer shorter hiatuses mid-season. I’m trying to look at the bright side.

  • Machunny

I think they’re premiering the week after the Season 5 DVD drops. Jerks.

  • SilentRage

cassi, serious question…you’re like 12 right?

  • F.

Could you just show some repect for others shows? I doesn’t mean that if you like only Supernatural all the others shows on the CW are stupid. I’m not a Smallville or Life Unexpected fans BUT i DO respect the both shows and the fans. Please do the same you’re being really rude.

  • F.

And Smallville is at its TENTH season honey, and sometime it has better ratings than Supernatural even if it airs on Friday. So if i were you i’d be REALLY careful.
Reapeat i’m NOT a Smallville fan.

  • Brett

Without “Smallville,” there may not have been a “Supernatural,” cassi. CW premiered “Supernatural” behind “Smallville” as a lead-in, and Jensen Ackles became the series’ star in large part because of his role on “Smallville.”

  • Machunny

Sorry, I meant the folks making me wait for SPN are jerks, not the people complaining about the wait.

  • Amy

The CW doesn’t need to do anything to make OTH fail. It does that all on its own. This is coming from a huge OTH fan. It is ridiculous that the show is still on.

  • MaryJane

Actually, Friday is probably a better night for it since it won’t have all of those CBS crime shows to compete with. It was brutal having to decide between some of those shows for viewers, it might even pick up new ones on Friday. Anyway, with some of my Friday favorites now gone, having Smallville & Supernatural (together again, Yayyy!) to watch makes it that much better.

  • Ble

    Not me…. ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww.

  • elr

I agree with you Mary Jane. I see nothing but good about the move to Friday night. Thursdays were soooooo congested with all the shows I like that it was getting hard to keep up. Although, I must say that I would follow Supernatural to whatever time slot they put it in.

  • Sam

I agree. Friday is one of the few nights I am actually home. I always had class Thursdays so it will be nice being able to watch it when it airs.

  • Shaula

I totally agree with you! :)

  • Zoey

Yeah, it did, and I absolutely HATED the two month hiatus, but I can’t help but be excited that it’s back that early.

  • mary q contrary

I think it’s a smart move. The people who didn’t tune in last year will get another chance to check it out, because it will most likely premiere before the majority of other network shows. Everyone will be mourning the loss of True Blood and their other summer shows, but the hiatus will still be in effect for, like, 80% of tv land. People will be chomping at the bit just to watch something that’s not a rerun or reality tv.

  • Zoey

LindaH is right. As thrilled as I am that Vampire Diaries is back so early, that just means there’s a longer hiatus later on, which will be torture. At least if ir premiered a little later, I wouldn’t care so much because the summer wait will have been so long already, so a few weeks wouldn’t make a difference.

  • Clarissa

@LindaH – That’s very true. I was just thinking that the other day. Gotta look on the bright side here! That 2 1/2 winter hiatus nearly killed me. I was barely recovering from summer hiatus at that point. lol

  • OMGq

What are they bringing ANTM back?? That show is so BEYOND lame – and Tyra & Co have the worst possible taste in models.

  • Shaula

I totally agree with you! :)

  • mary q contrary

Totally agreed. I watched the first 3 or 4 seasons, but it just kept getting worse. I caught an episode last season, and had to scrape my jaw off the floor it was so bad.

  • Allison

As bad as OTH is, I can’t miss an episode. If there’s any justice in the world, Quinn (Shantel van Santen is an AWFUL actress)won’t survive the shooting. But the writers won’t do that to Haley. They’ll probably kill Clay who, while hot, is totally pointless. This has got to be the last season. There’s just nowhere else for this show to go.

  • lorna

Was a diehard OTH actress til mid s5. Show has sucked since. I LOVE Clay. Brooke was written terribly this season. Can’t stand Haley.

  • Shaula

Thank you for sharing this info! You’re right, it’s better this way. :)

  • Courtney

I agree! The new show they put on after Vampire Diaries looks so stupid! Thursday used to be my favorite day of the week just because my 2 shows were on. :(

  • lorna

I agree. Hey where’s Melrose Place? I kid. Loved MP, should have axed 90210 instead. Will not watch any new CW shwos since MP was azed.
