Former soap star Blair Redford — probably best known as the third Miguel on NBC’s defunct Passions — is joining the CW soap in a major recurring role, sources confirm to me exclusively. And what role would that be? Keep reading for the deets…
Redford will play Oscar, a handsome, charismatic, and charming Brit that a show insider describes as “one part Talented Mr. Ripley, one part young Johnny Depp, and all parts sexy.” But don’t be fooled. Oscar, who moves in with Ivy and her mom, is trouble with a capital “T” that rhymes with “P” that stands for pot stirrer.
This isn’t Redford’s first brush with The CW. The actor had a role in the network’s ill-fated drama pilot Betwixt.
90210‘s third season (and first on Monday night!) premieres on Sept. 13.

Plus, it’s the 20th anniversary of the original 90210 this fall. SOMEONE should take advantage of that as well as the 9-02-10 date. (Not that the new showrunners give a crap about the original, of course.)
