Exclusive: 'iCarly' casts 'Glee' meanie Jane Lynch as Sam's MIA mom

im OBSESSED with glee and i absolutely LOVE icarly! im 17 and not afraid to admit that i love them both! theyre both really great shows and jane lynch is going to be fantastic playing sam’s mom.

Of all actresses out there today, they picked the best of the best to portray Sam’s mom! OMG, can’t wait!!!

i actually hate icarly and only watch it for my kids but i think this is gonna be good.. i like jane lynch ^_^

Out of those four, Big Time Rush is the only one that I find unbearable. Heck, even my husband watches iCarly whether our daughter is in the room or not. We’re in our 40s, but that doesn’t mean we can’t appreciate good comedy, no matter what age group it’s actually geared for.

I’ll be 44 in a few months, I LOVE iCarly. My daughter & I started watching it two years ago when she was 2. We watch the whole line-up. CAN’T WAIT to see Jane as Sam’s (my fav character) mom.

LMAO! Love the Seddie reference! I, too, am probably too old to be watching, but I am OBSESSED with iCarly. I was jumping up and down when I read Dan Schneider’s tweet about this.

But we saw Sam and Melissa together, didn’t we? And my oldest son is 10 years older than my daughter, although we have two other children between them. But if their dad is in the military, maybe their parents were apart fairly often during those ten years.

@JMB, I think both of their parents are still alive. There was an episode where Carly was doing an award-show version of the webcast, and I believe she really didn’t want to be late for it, since her mom and dad were tuning in to watch it live from the dad’s military location on a Navy sub (at least, I think it’s the Navy).

And, yes – I always had the same question on how Spencer could afford his place. I guess he’s a more successful artist than we all realize

Guilty Pleasure Alert: You’re never too old to enjoy good, old-fashioned fun. Seriously, my sister and I are two professional twenty-somethings, and we are sooooo in love with this show! Every character is perfectly defined (esp. Sam and Spencer!). No matter what else is on TV, if we see iCarly is on, it totally takes over our TV. Nothing else on TV matters for that 30 minute block.

The show really is that good.

I love the episode where Gibby said: ‘I thought Spencer was your Dad’. That was an LOL moment.
