Mean-o >.< ya know, Victorious is made by the same person who made iCarly, ya know. Hmmph.

  • Jay

Victorious is WAY better than True Jackson or Big Time Rush. It’s not as great as iCarly yet but it’s growing.

  • Melinda65

Out of those four, Big Time Rush is the only one that I find unbearable. Heck, even my husband watches iCarly whether our daughter is in the room or not. :-) We’re in our 40s, but that doesn’t mean we can’t appreciate good comedy, no matter what age group it’s actually geared for.

  • Suze

My best friend, who actually has small children (I don’t), mocks me because I love iCarly… mostly for Spencer… he’s so randomly awesome. And I’m beyond stoked for Jane Lynch to guest as Sam’s mom.

  • samsun970

I’ll be 44 in a few months, I LOVE iCarly. My daughter & I started watching it two years ago when she was 2. We watch the whole line-up. CAN’T WAIT to see Jane as Sam’s (my fav character) mom.

  • Vickie Sylvain

I can blame my love of iCarly on my kids making me watch it all the time, but I would be lying! When they want to turn it I tell them NO! I am proud to say that I am in my 40′s!! Some are annoying, but others are pure magic.
I love all the cast, but Spencer is so wonderfully RANDOM and Sam and then Gibby are my favorites! Jane Lynch will be great!!! Can’t wait to see it!

  • J

Same here. It’s a guilty pleasure my brother and me. This is such awesome casting!!!

I love seeing all the adult fans coming out on this thread. iCarly rocks!

  • Kat

I have to agree. Like you said, it has it’s real kid moments where it’s cheesy, but for the most part the writing is good enough for adults to get it and enjoy it. The other thing I think is good is that it focuses on things other than kids getting boyfriends and fighting with their friends. So many “kids’” shows are so melodramatic, and it’s easily picked up by most kids. I taught third graders and I swear the way they talked and fought you would have thought it was junior high.

  • Corrine

LMAO! Love the Seddie reference! I, too, am probably too old to be watching, but I am OBSESSED with iCarly. I was jumping up and down when I read Dan Schneider’s tweet about this.

  • JMB

Their dad is overseas in the military, and their mom (I think) is dead. So Spencer is her guardian. And there’s no big mystery for a ten year age difference between them… some families have medical issues having kids and maybe have a big gap between them.

  • Melinda65

But we saw Sam and Melissa together, didn’t we? And my oldest son is 10 years older than my daughter, although we have two other children between them. But if their dad is in the military, maybe their parents were apart fairly often during those ten years.

  • JMB

The bigger question is how can they afford all that stuff???

  • datruth82

@JMB, I think both of their parents are still alive. There was an episode where Carly was doing an award-show version of the webcast, and I believe she really didn’t want to be late for it, since her mom and dad were tuning in to watch it live from the dad’s military location on a Navy sub (at least, I think it’s the Navy).

And, yes – I always had the same question on how Spencer could afford his place. I guess he’s a more successful artist than we all realize :)

  • Nicotine

I’m way far past iCarly’s demographic age and I’m male, but I still love the show! Sam is my favorite character and Sue Sylvester as her mom will be awesome.

  • datruth82

Guilty Pleasure Alert: You’re never too old to enjoy good, old-fashioned fun. Seriously, my sister and I are two professional twenty-somethings, and we are sooooo in love with this show! Every character is perfectly defined (esp. Sam and Spencer!). No matter what else is on TV, if we see iCarly is on, it totally takes over our TV. Nothing else on TV matters for that 30 minute block.

  • Susi

I used to always turn the show off because I thought it was annoying, then I started babysitting my nieces a lot and they always had it on so it kind of grew on me. I don’t know any people that are my age that really watch the show. Its that one show that everyone is afraid to admit they like but secretly do.

  • betty

The show really is that good.

  • Melinda65

More Gibby and Guppy, yes. But Lewbert makes my skin crawl. LOL

  • Dave

I love the episode where Gibby said: ‘I thought Spencer was your Dad’. That was an LOL moment.

  • Dave

    Its funny cause its true.
