how can ppl say that seeing house sad and miserable “gets old” ??? I don’t get it! seeing him like that is what makes him so freakin’ sexy!!! but I love seeing him smile and happy too. But I’ll never get tired of his “miserable look”.
    I So Love Him <333

  • Johnification

I’ll tell you when you’re older.

  • tzikeh

    Think hard.

And by that, I mean think *hard*.

  • jw.

“get as good as he gives”? The imagery that comes along with that sentence is just… Those two are so freakin’ hot together. Can’t wait to see what they serve up to us in season seven. Comments like these are making it harder to wait.

  • Pop Culture Bystander

And during the diagnosis scenes, each doctor can have a turn saying “I ‘ave a cunning plan”.

  • ted

    “That diagnosis is balls!”

  • Jazzerjax

    Puleese…….!

  • AbileneRN

Mel – nobody cares if you watch the show! I love it – and him – and Cuddy – just the way they are!! Even MORE if they are together…

  • Margaret

Oh my God that would be the best day of my life. Thank you!!!!

  • Geoff

I think that would just about make my life.

  • Billy

Oh, hell yea! Black Adder ftw!

  • Tracy Murray

I can now see Tony Robinson joining the cast as a medical specialist named Baldrick .

  • mel

Well, to be even, why not bring Jason Alexander on and reprise the “I’m full with the risotto” scene with Lisa…

  • Pop Culture Bystander

Dr. S.O. Baldrick. Because when he was in the gutter, all the other snipes used to call out…

  • Geoff

Now THAT would be an interesting twist.

  • Carla

@Grandpajoe, I think you are on to something. In fact, I predict that this season we will see the sort of reversal you are looking for: Wilson’s renewed romance with his ex-wife Sam will be filled with turbulence and trauma, while House’s romance with Cuddy will be a model of (relative) stability and forward movement. House as the more mature and stable of the two friends, giving relationship advice to Wilson, would be a winning treat and a delightful reversal of fortune.

  • Bubbles

awesome idea! I also wondered what it would be like if Wilson was in Cuddy’s shoes at the hospital.

  • mee!!!!!

if i turned on the tv and house was acting like wilson, IDK, it would be to weird for me!!

  • Dani

I don’t think that anyone even those who hate Huddy ever said that Hugh Laurie was not the best actor on television. He IS the best, and he IS the show!!!!!!!!!!!

  • G

I’m not sure I disagree, but I think the writers might be able to balance it out better. I’m choosing to be cautiously optomistic. I don’t know if I’m a fan exactly of house in any relationship BUT it’s a chance to see how HE handles a relationship with Cuddy, that’s what interests me.

  • mee!!!!!

yeah, hey wat ever happend to 13???

  • djesus

“Whoever said that the “find patient, almost lose patient, cure patient, make everyone around him miserable” formula is getting a bit stale was right on the money”

    So true!

  • angelika

They should have had it turn out that the Hannah patient in the building collapse was really Cuddy.

  • Brannigan

I think they made it clear it wasn’t a hallucination. But I agree with you on the seeing him in a different light and the show becoming a bit dry of late. He needs the edge, the cynicism, the core of who he is has to be the same, but I’m glad they’re doing this with Huddy, because watching him be miserable in a 1000 different ways was getting old.

  • jonathan

no they wouldn;t use that plot device again.

  • jonathan

thats because relationships have become the foundation of the show.

  • erin

I’m with you Bluefish love the show more and more each season

  • Simmy

You made me laugh out loud! Thx. hahaa

  • M.Hansen

“He likes to get as good as he gives—and I mean that in as many senses as are suitable for a family readership.” Holy smokes, Hugh. You’re killin’ me here! Huddy needs to throw on some Barry White and GET BUSY for them, and for us. Sheesh!

  • smooth.operator.

“He likes to get as good as he gives”
I see what you did there, Hugh. Sweet. *grin*

  • Bluefish

they have brought in more about the realationships/character personal life but they still work the “hospital” into the show as it was before.. I think they do a better job at it then say ER did when they brought in more of their personal lives…

  • Carla

This is a foolish and rather malicious misreading of Hugh Laurie’s comments about acting. His view is that he is deeply concerned with how the writers and other show runners execute a storyline. He plays an integral part in the development of the show, every element from music selection to casting to designing the promotional campaign for the season is considered by him. He contributes to the sentance-by-sentance construction of his character, suggesting changes to keep House in line with how he views the character’s attitude and approach to life. He even suggested that House shed tears when making love to Lydia in “Broken.”

The notion that Hugh Laurie is a passive participant in the creative development of the show is ridiculous. You cannot abuse Laurie because you dislike the direction the show is currently taking. Nor can you slyly attempt to disparage Lisa Edelstein as some of your sicko colleagues have tried to do. The smart, sizzling chemistry between Laurie and Edelstein is genuine and propels this great show. You don’t have to like it. You can go find another show to watch. I wish you would since you are so obviously misinformed and ill-intenioned about “House.”

Hugh Laurie is the undisputed leader and creative director of the show. Pretending that he is a puppet spouting out the ideas of others may bring you a bit of comfort, but you are delusional and way off base.

  • Jill

Sadly, the Huddy storyline over the past four seasons has been done neither well nor with style. Stink bombs, trip wires and lying to each other doesn’t not make for an adult relationship. True love saving you from pain and a vicodin addiction doesn’t make for a realistic storyline. I don’t understand how Hugh Laurie can be so enthusiastic about it with integrity.

Shore and Laurie said that House would not be a white picket fence ending. Between double dating with Wilson and Sam and domesticity with Rachel and Cuddy as KJ said in an interview, House might as well start strapping those white pickets on to his motorcycle now.

  • angelika

Why does everyone always think that anyone who doesn’t like Cuddy or Huddy is a shipper? I watch the show for HOUSE. I don’t ship anyone. That doesn’t mean though that I can’t dislike a pairing or a direction of the show. Some people do ship and hate this story for that reason, but most of the people I know who don’t like it are not shippers at all. The reason I first watched and continued to watch the show was because Hugh was so good in the part, regardless of the bad scrips or storylines that sometimes came out.

  • Toby

@Carla, thank you for this. These bitter haters need to step off.

  • Isabella

It’s not bitterness. To many fans House isn’t House anymore, that’s why they are dissapointed. I don’t care about pairings. I want to see House happy too – with whoever – but please in a realistic way. Nowadays it’s all about who’s sleeping with who – and that’ not the show many fans fell in love with.

  • Ann

Do you mean the millions who left the show? Yes, bitter, indeed

  • Bbrown

The millions who were watching because of American Idol as a lead in? Yes, must be.

  • Jll

    Soap opera.

They fought and tricked and tied to each other for the last four seasons so it must be ‘adult’ True Love.

  • SusanL

I agree. Some of the people who like the relationship are way overboard. It is after all a show and characters and not something that is going to affect real people down the road.

  • SANTEE

    ~ME TOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO~ LOL

  • FunnyBrit

    Word, Zing. The end.

  • Jazzerjax

    Agreed :) ))

  • HOUSEwife

    LONG and HARD! HA!

  • Jenn

How can you say there was no Huddy last season? House spent the whole season mooning over her. The dreadful backstory retcon. The lies she told him about Lucas, the trick she played on him at Thankgiving. Nolan’s ridiculous assertion that all his pain would go away once he got into a relationship with Cuddy.

All of their interactions were about their relationship and their star-crossed (gag) love, not about their professional relationship.

The last time it wasn’t All Huddy was during the Tritter arc in season 4.

  • raiza

House “kidnapped” Cuddy on her way to work according to spoilers. That’s why she was not dressed for a day on the beach”.

  • Bubbles

Word, MikeC. HL would never dis the ship. He is a producer now so who knows maybe he was all for H/Cuddy too.

A whistling House? Unrecognizable indeed. *shudders*

  • layla

whistling house exists since the begining or did you miss season 2? he whistles and sings when he’s happy. happened with stacy and when he thought he and cuddy slept together in S5.

  • layla

    house producers confirmed it’s real.

  • Bubbles

    LOL. Exactly.

  • mee!!!!!

    second that!!

  • mee!!!!!

i don’t think it will, i mean comeone, he’s liked her for ever and u can tell she’s always kinda liked him.

  • erin

More like Ross and Rachel from “Friends” eventually they will have a child together and then get married living happily ever after

  • Clara

For me House MD is the best TV series in the world !

  • Key

That’s because LE was able to manipulate them before JM using her ass-et and Patty and Selma. LE is such a little plotter

  • Xmarksthespot

LOL, really, you’re delusional. I can assure you this happened except it wasn’t about Jennifer Morrison, there was another female involved in the story and the meeting happened around February.

  • Unbelievable

That is completely unbelievable, Vanessa. It doesn’t jive with anything that we’ve read or heard about Jennifer Morrison in six years. It’s ridiculous to suggest that she’d ask for “top billing” or “Hameron back.” If you are going to post crap like that, you need to back it up.

  • yes

Absolutety. I know it worked that way. But i can`t blame her she wants to hold her job. But HL doens`t want her on the team again. He… puuh truly loves LE. I can`t blame him for this.

  • furlan

true…but coe on let us move on. This show wil die a terrile death. It`s nothing new, X-files,The sopranos and moonlighting have done the same. I hoped DS will rock it, but obviously he just don`t know why his show was that famous (like all the others too) . I say one thing it was not because of huddy and it never will be. It will die.

  • erin

    Well Louisa
I hated Cameron,Chase and Foreman for three seasons I still watched because House,Cuddy and the patients interested me.
Never did I wish any one of there characters dead or fired or leaving as I knew that deep down House had a reason for keeping them all there.
Face it House likes possibly loves Cuddy. They will continue to show Wilson and Sam,Taub,Foreman, Chase and hopefully his new girlfriend,as well as House and Cuddy, patients, and Clinic duty.
House loves them all so should we

  • mee!!!!!

well good for u, i think cuddys awesome and i hate lucas!!! Rachel is still gonna be cuddys daughter!! i mean u haters need to get over yourselfs and get whats gonna go on, or just get off the the house page and stop watching to show, i totlly a huddy fan!!

  • erin

angelika, You stated in the above post that you are a former watcher of House SO why should someone who still loves the show pay attention to any of your posts.

  • lucille

My admiration for HL is the ony thing what will leave me on this show. But after this interview i`m done. Huddy is for morons.

  • EmpireState

It is nice to hear him supporting it. He has before but Lisa always seems to get the bashing comments from people for supporting it. Then again, I won’t be surprised if they all run to the Lisa ‘brainwashed’ him too into liking it. Lisa is one powerful woman, let me tell you. ;)

  • OnceAFan

Maybe you didn’t see her back then in that case. I am hardly catty (and a man so not jealous of her looks). I am not someone who wants to trash her. I am sad about what I have seen happening over the years. I would be happy to post before and after pictures in here, but it doesn’t seem to work, or else I am doing something wrong.

  • OnceAFan

Sadly I think you are right.

  • hekabe

This sounds like a true friend to her. Call her and tell her what you think. I`m sure she will remember your words.

  • erin

As this article was not about how well Lisa E. has aged and how arrogant you feel she has become. I can only guess that you have some kind of ax to grind

The article was about Hugh Laurie and where he thinks the House and Cuddy relationship might go. It was not about Lisa E aging gracefully, plastic surgery or your distorted belief that her smile is arrogant.
So Why are you REALLY posting this nonsense

  • Xy

Yes, she’s beautiful like this at the age of 44 without plastic surgery. Deal with it.

  • WaitAndSee

I hope they do balance it out better. They do have problems writing romantic relationships. They’re great at the flirting and banter, but writing an honest, realistic, love relationship for House that’s still entertaining, I’m with you, G, cautiously optimistic.

  • nocturne

Sexual tension and craving is nice. Maybe they can get in a big fight and not get any for awhile and then make up (sex).

  • Wordsworth

I like Huddy and Hilson as a great friendship. Also OT3. Give me all of those and a good POTW and I’m in for the long haul on this show.

  • Chiara

Go learn some respect for other people’s ideas.

  • Jo

yeah…that’s why Hugh Laurie asked JMo to come back for this episode as director…because he can’t stand her!! MUAHAHAHAH!! what a bunch of lies!!

  • Wins

    Liz
You are obviously a bitter Hameron. Just let it go….

  • Wins

House’s best scenes and some of the best epis have involved children. They had always shown him t have a way with kids. Honesty and actually being attentive to their needs. Since Houe has big time Daddy isues, it would be a way to address that. Win Win!!

  • Wins

There are many casual viewrs that enjoy Huddy. After the first few episode it will not be the main focus but it will provide a differnt aspect. Perhaps it’s time for new viewrs perhaps Fox should run the premioer on alternate nights and pick up some. I knw some people who left at the end of season three because it became too abusive. They are coming back now.

  • erin

Good and take the other NON House fans with you

  • Savinnah

she looks old for 44, I thought she was 48

  • Jaymii

The format of it. Bones is a good example of a show that is very much a procedural but doesn’t feel forced or predictable at every act. Also, CSI, for example – big jump between that and The Wire, no? Both cop shows though.

  • Sara

I disagree, a bit. Procedurals very much follow a procedure. Case is presented, dead identified, suspects identified, guest stars introduced, first 1-2 suspects don’t pan out, in the end the one guest star you recognize is the murderer.

    *

I actually sort of like the derivations from formula that House made this past season, though I may be the only one. :)

  • Ron

In the beginning of the final episode House has a bloodied hand. Then the flash -back begins. At the end of the episode his hand is not bloodied. Did anyone notice this? I think his love affair with Cuddy is indeed a hallucination due to this discrepancy. Anyone?

  • TJ

They are actors on and off the show in all but their private lives. The only people who know what they really think about the show or each other are the people themselves and any family or friends they talk to honestly about stuff on a personal level. I don’t think it matters if they like each other of not. People do their job properly if they are professionals regardless of their personal feelings.

  • Brendan

    true blood isn’t smart

  • samy

True Blood is smart and not as predictable like so many ather shows..

  • Crystal

Why would P-Jac be speaking at your school anyway?

  • djesus

I hate Bones and GA but I love House.

  • Wins

Yes, why are you here commenting. Let it go and move on! I stopped watching Greys and Lost and Heroes You don’t see me talking about those shows. When it’s over you quit and move on. Don’t be a stalker!

  • mel

Dear AbileneRN, I’m afraid I’m not the only one here tuning out. The ratings are down by nearly half, falling to as low as the early part of the 1st season.

For a lot of people, the show’s balance of medical mystery and human drama has become way lobsided. Maybe the writers find it easier to write human drama than medical mystery, but ratings seem to agree with me.

  • Ellen

But why is Cuddy miserable? That’s one of the things that I absolutely hate about this whole House/Cuddy thing – the changing of Cuddy’s character to suit House. We have been given insight into why House is miserable, but with Cuddy, it was just suddenly there. Nice house, prestigious job, a long-wanted baby, friends for dinner parties and tennis, male admirers… Why did she suddenly become “miserable”? It’s just one more piece of The Big Retcon.

  • Dani

I don’t at all like her character now, where at the beginning I did. Even with the baby she never seems happy about it, she seems more of an annoyance to Cuddy, in contrast to people I know who have been in a similar situation. She just always seems to be miserable and for no reason. I am interested to see what will happen now though, but don’t think they will ever be able to explain away the lack of continuity in her character from season to season.

  • erin

I watch House religiously love it to death so I must have missed something. Cuddy is miserable because she was stuck. She had the house, and the fiancee but not the man she wanted to be with. She loves House and she had to know if she and House could make it

  • Ellen

Erin, are you saying that Cuddy has been miserable all these years because she wasn’t with HOUSE??? The man who treats her like crap? If that is true, then she’s worse than miserable. She is pathetic.

  • AuntieD

Chris, it’s not Hugh Laurie, it’s the writers

  • CARISSA

i think you are so right, there are infinate possibilities not only for new cases…but the huddy aspect can be amazing all by itself!!! i cant wait, and i am counting the days down, and to look forward to house means i have to look forward the fall and cold weather.

  • fyioppio

Oh, please. Go take your bitterness somewhere else.

  • Amy

Yes, he is ‘one’ of the ep not ‘the ep’.

  • @fyioppio

I don’t see why I should’t say what I think. Sorry but I could care less about you. And I’m not bitter, not for a tv show.

  • fyioppio

you are not bitter? sorry, guess you could have fooled me. and for your information, there is NO SUCH THING as “the” executive producer. pretty sure if freelancer were around she’d enlighten you since you fail to do simple research before spreading stupidity about a show you seem to no longer enjoy.

  • Ana

    SERIOUSLY?

  • ~fly in the ointment~

That’s true as far as it goes, TJ. But it matters to the fans. And Boo (and others of his ilk) knows it matters. That’s why people like this want to believe it and spread this stuff to raise doubts in others that they dislike each other or that he is really against Huddy. If Hugh hates Huddy then it somehow makes it less legitimate and vindicates them. If Hugh’s doing it because he’s being forced to against his better judgment and taste it means someone all of us fans respect a great deal has a distaste for Huddy and that lessens our enjoyment of it because we like the guy. So as you said, it doesn’t matter on our screen whether he likes Huddy or not, because he is a professional and he seems to always try to do his best. But whether Hugh enjoys it or doesn’t enjoy it, matters to us. People won’t stop or start liking Huddy just because he does or doesn’t, but in the back of our minds we’ll all know. When we watch it if we go in knowing Hugh enjoys it like we do, that makes it even better. If he doesn’t like it, and we know he doesn’t like it, then it will always be the fly in the ointment. That’s what Boo is trying to accomplish.

  • Amy

And when did I said huddies shouldn’t say what they think? Huddies are the ones saying to the rest of us to just go away.

  • Amy

Nope, some huddies are calling us haters just because we have a different opinion about huddy and are saying to go away and shut up.

  • martyrdom doesn’t become you

Come on, do we need to bring up what the anti-Huddies are doing. I’m sure you’re smart enough to know without me spelling it out. No side has clean hands on this blog-and they never do.

  • Again I say, Pot meet Kettle…

No one cares that you have a different opinion. What does that matter? What matters is when you come here bashing the show after saying you haven’t seen it in x years, or bash people from the show, or … other people who have an opinion different than yours. Like that Liz person who keeps showing up on every Ausiello blog about House and randomly posting after someone saying they like the show and asking them if they’ve even seen the first three years…for example. ;)

  • Ahem

1 – “Huddies” are telling HATERS to shush, not anyone in particular.r If you are offended, that must mean the shoe fit.
2 – I’m sorry, but if your opinions weren’t so biased, delusional or simply unfounded and you presented an actual intelligent argument as to why you are against the storyline, we wouldn’t be having this conversation.

  • @Ahem

Let’s be fair, they do sometimes try to make arguments other than say LE is a b***, etc. e.g., all the SMART viewers left a while ago, now the only ones watching are delusional, insipid, tasteless Huddy fangirls. Or, what happened to this once intelligent show when people like me (with taste and intelligence) used to watch? It has become a shell of its former glory and has jumped the shark a zillion times already. Huddies and Huddy ruined the show forever. Now the show is ‘Days of Our Lives’/’Grey’s Anatomy’/insert favorite soap here. All of the viewers who left (or at least most of them) think exactly like me-they’re tired of this Huddy crap and want the SMART show back with the focus on MEDICAL cases and minimal personal/character stuff (unless you bring back Cameron and put her back on the team or make Cuddy strong again-and by that I mean, let House and Wilson start making the beast with two backs and make Cuddy someone who comes on only to say yes or no to a medical procedure—then it’s all good).

  • Ahem

You just proved my point with your oh so mature response.

And you call “Huddies” tasteless and delusional by thinking MOST viewers think exactly like you. Are you kidding? Do you even know ANYTHING about media or how television actually works? Because, let me tell you, I have a master in journalism and you couldn’t be more wrong.

Also, newsflash for you: you don’t have to be a “Huddy”, a “fangirl” or delusional to actually enjoy the show as it is today. Oh, and a little something you SHOULD learn: MOST viewers are actually casual viewers. They could give two sh*ts about what you think.

Guess what, there is always fanfiction for you to read. You seem to have pretty much been living through them, anyway.

  • Bradley

It’s interesting that you accuse a group of being demented and yet calls yourself one with taste and intelligence – along with several other immature contradictions (and unfounded reasoning) in your posts. And you want people to take you seriously?

    Ok, then.

  • aide

oh, boy, another bitter hameron/hilson who wishes cuddy would disappear and has the audacity to claim her opinion is actually tasteful and intelligent.

I’m glad david shore doesn’t listen to any of you idiots.

Go back to fanfiction; that’s better suited for you.

  • @Ahem-clarification

That was sarcasm. I was showing some of the ‘intelligent’ arguments that have been made against Huddy and the show of late. I actually am a casual viewer who enjoys Huddy. ;)

  • Ahem

I stand corrected. Now THAT is actually an intelligent comment. Thank you.

  • @Ahem-no problem

You’re welcome. Usually I just stand back amused at what goes on, but I thought you made a good point and wanted to give an example of your second point.

  • aide

sorry, I wish we actually had a sarcasm button around here, heh.

  • Wins

    @Ahem
Do you know how the show was created? Do you know the mind of David Shore? If you look at the history of how and why the show was created the medicine was never supposed to dominate character. It just took a while to peel away enough layers to get to character. The medicine was just to provide a distraction and puzzle and be a vehicle. These are the the thought processes of David Shore. I loved the medicine too, it should still be a big part but loving the medicine and the ethics does not make you smarter than the people loving the puzzle of relationships and how a damageged person works positively on issues rather than always towards self-destruction. The Pendulum swings both ways, if House continues to be miserable he will overdose or ruin his liver and the show will be over anyway. It is a balance. I know huddies with I.Q.s over 150, so quit with the intelligence bashing. It just shows your own ignorance.

  • erin

Cindy, House is rude, obnoxious but I don’t think you can call him selfish.
There are many examples of House’s form of niceness.
He gave Stacy a prescription for her heart.
He wore a lab coat to save Cuddy’s job from Vogler.
He lied to protect Chase from prosecution when he killed a patient.
He drugged Wilson and took his speech about Euthanasia and gave another one.
All of these things he has done out of kindness and many more. There is more to House than being rude, and obnoxious

  • erin

Well I am glad that you stopped watching the show but, then why are you posting here. Why do you even care?
Unless you have been watching secretly, Have You?

  • veronica

    Word.

  • baby

Yes because Hugh has an affair with Lisa, That`s why everything will be written what she wants, allthough it is bad. It`s obvious and he can happy go to hell with his show for Teenage-SQUEE-Huddies. Who wants to see a wimpy House who is devoted to Cuddy? Nobody except these delusional Huddies.

  • erin

Why are you commenting on something you know nothing about.
If you can’t stand the character and he is too arrogant, DON’T WATCH THE SHOW

  • Get Over Yourself

Hey everybody! We’ve got to SHUT UP now because someone named “Mona” wants us to. Apparently she has decided that this site is for squeeing Huddy fans only, and no complaining abouat the direction of this show is allowed. Gee, if only she knew about those Huddy forums where everybody is happy…

  • Riley

just coz she has a lotta sex with NYC guys or else, doesnt mean the woman cant act.
I mean, not many actress have her extended range and versatility.
she can do anything from comedy to drama…
do some homework instead of bashing the lady!

Nobody ever said that House can only be happy and fulfilled with Cuddy. As a matter of fact in the finale “Help Me” he knows he is the most screwed upp person in the world and tells this to Cuddy. He knows being with her isn’t the answer to all his issues. Cuddy knows it to as she when he asked her if he could cure himself she said “I Don’t Know”
As for basing the show on Sherlock Holmes. It is a medical mystery but more importantly it is a character study about the genius doctor called House.
He is a doctor not a detective and has a heart and soul that he choses not to show all the time and only to certain people.
What many viewers seem to forget is that House underwent a life altering change at the end of Wilson Heart. In his conversation on the bus with Amber he clearly stated he did not want to be miserable anymore.Season 5 and 6 have been his attempts to find it. It is this search for happiness with Cuddy that have made me more excited for season 7 than possibly any other season of House .

  • veronica

Ellen, thanks for your thoughtful and illuminating post. I was really talking about the folks who’s posted here that they don’t care about *any* of the relationships on the show, but are really just into the focus on the medical mysteries. In other words, my main struggle – with many fandoms – is to understand why some people prefer ‘stand-alone’ episode formats over longer-term character and story arcs (which I personally find infinitely preferable). I have passed on all CSI/Law&Order types of shows, though I loved “ER” and currently love “The Good Wife”, two shows where character and overarching stories, including romantic relationships, are never sacrificed for the case-of-the-week.

  • erin

Mona is simply saying is why if you so dislike the show and the House and Cuddy relationship, or the fact that Cameron left,or you don’t like Taub,Foreman or Thirteen that WHY watch it. Find another show or fast forward thru the parts you don’t like .
Mona and others would like to know why you continue to torture yourself if you don’t like the show. Life is too short to watch TV show that you dislike.

  • Shadow

@erin…your wrong???? “your” is ownership, how can you own wrong???? perhaps you meant you’re = you are???

  • Shadow

but I guess it’s a common problem with elementary school students to confuse your & you’re now days.

  • Bushy

Stalker? The only stalkers here are you and most especially, Erin. You need to let people have their freakin’ opinions and STFU. Huddy fangirls are such @$$holes.

  • erin

According to the spoilers so far Ben
Cuddy is at work. She is wearing these shoes. House then, kidnaps her because he loves her and wants to spend more time with her from work.
Then he takes her on his motorcycle to places of special significance to her. One of them is the beach so she takes off her shoes and walks barefoot on the sand.

Is that clear or would you like a diagram to accompany it

  • erin

just like your post. If House is not meant to have any relationships what are the Ducklings for.
    What is Wilsons purpose
Can House just get cases via the intercom like Charley in “Charleys Angels” and no other person except the patient and possibly there family would be necessary.

Would that make you make happy. House is a character study it is through his relationships with Chase,Cameron,Forman,Taub,Wilson and Cuddy that we learn more about him.
I guess alot of people don’t really care what is underneath the facade House put on. I do he maybe rude, and sometimes obnoxious but WHY?
How did he become his genius, social isolated dr. Was it the Vicodin, the difficult childhood, the amputation of his leg.
Even more interesting can he become a fully functioning member of society. Can he find a way to happiness knowing that it is the one thing he can’t control.

  • Colleen

This is for Jason. I was also wondering if he was having a hallucination until Cuddy said he was not and it was stated that he did not take a pill.

  • actually

it’s been confirmed by people close to the show(don’t remember if it was show runners or stars) that it was real. no more fakeouts. they couldn’t get away with that twice anyways…

  • Elena

If cuddy is at work why is she wearing pants?

  • Bubbles

Sing it, sister!! Well said and exactly.

  • MikeC

EXACTLY. Couldn’t have said it better myself.

  • erin

Well, Ellen I understand you point of view and you certainly have the right to point out the inconsistencies in the show. However, there are many viewers who enjoyed the survivor arc,who realizied it was time for Cameron and Chase to move on,who actually enjoy Thirteen and like Oliva Wilde, and don’t get upset over pranks that Cuddy,Wilson and House do,and enjoy watching the show as entertainment not something to be dissected for any bit of retcon. I have always be captivated by the medical cases by to me the big draw has been learning about the genius Diagnostican who can cure anyone but has trouble with himself.
It frustrates me when there is a article about House and before you know it there are many responses from people who don’t watch the show but, feel the need to comment about things on House that have nothing to do with the article such as Cameron’s departure, Lisa E looks, and simply restating over and over why they don’t like the show. It ruins my enjoyment of the show.
My feeling is that the writers have written the show and characters a certain way that is there prerogative and if I don’t like it I simply find another show that holds my interest

  • erin

Who cares if it’s the last season
    ENJOY IT !!!

  • Mary

Maybe you’re right, smart, witty, brilliant, grade-A writing is overrated after all. Promotion, buzz are more important no matters if the price it’s mediocrity. What can I say, if people want to turn off their brain to see the huddy show, that’s their call.
But maybe the authors of others high quality shows will learn the lesson and won’t ruin them with something like huddy.

  • Jen

Well said, Ellen! I keep coming back to these spoiler sites hoping for a good reason to watch again. Unfortunately, that hasn’t happened yet but, like you, I haven’t completely given up.

  • bella

But it’s not up to YOU or ME to decide what is good or what is wrong. What is quality and what is mediocre. It is how it is. Everything is relative. What you love others don’t. What you dislike others love. I understand that you are mad is not taking the direction you wish, but every show is like this, at some point it loses fans and wins new fans. Always was. Always will be. Nothing it’s linear.

  • bella

And who says it’s a Harlequin romance and not a Samarago book? How can you judge something before hand? With no exact knowledge of the facts. Have you seen the opening episode from S7? Have you seen the whole Season 7? NO. So how can you know what it will be? From some leaked pictures on a beach? Do you know the dialogue? I’m sorry but this is not about discering quality from mediocrity. But about prejudgemental. Judging a book by it’s cover. Open it. Read it and then cast your vote.

  • bella

I have yet to see a show that kep the same witty, smart, top notch writing all along its seasons. I don’t think it ever happened. A perfect example is The X Files. It’s a show that in its first 5 seasons ( Vancouver seasons) was beyond magnificent. Had it all. And then of course with season 6 started to go downhill. Some will say that happened later on, some will say early, but comparing the seasons 1-5 with its last seasons 8-9 it’s simply criminal. The writers did not know what even happened the week before. No story well definited. Nothing. Chris Carter wanted to pull the plug after season 5, Fox did not let him. Then he wanted after season 7, he even ended that season with the thought it will be the last episode, again FOX did not let him. After season 9 FOX had no choice but to let it go. Noone wanted to do it anymore. The actors refused to renew their contratcts. David Duchovny already left. My point is: same is with House. The show is moving on. Of course is not the same as in seasons 1-3 and it will never be again. In it’s first seaons the show is fresh, new, original. The writers have tons of great ideas and later those ideas led to other ideas and so on. It’s called development. I undersnat now that you are bothered mostly by the romance in the show. But the romance was always there . i.e. In season 2 we had House chasing Stacy for half of season. Why so different now? What we can hope is that they will write well this season and end smart after season or later this show And I have faith that they will. I’m not a big fan of season 6 because I felt it was dragged for way too long and it was not moving forward.

Yeah nice talking to you too. It’s nice having a conversation without jumping to insults.

  • Clara

Huddy is THE KEY to success for
the House MD show! That’s the truth!

  • Mary

Are you telling me that between a harlequin romance and a Samarago’s book you can’t discern quality from medriocrity? You can like medriocrity but that doesn’t mean you aren’t able to see the difference.

  • Mary

I gave the writers the benefit of the doubt for the past seasons: between season 1-2-3 and the rest there’s a huge gap. Since season 4 the writing is getting worse, all you have to do is compare them. Also I’ve read KJ’s interviews and that, along with this pics, makes me think that the things are going to be worse. The only aspect of the show TPTB seem to be interested in are relationships (not only huddy), i.e. they’re going to introduce a new female character and what aspect do they point out? yes, the romance once. Another show about romances placed in a medical context. I’ll pass.
Anyway it was nice talking with you

  • Ellen

Once again, Erin, you have reacted to a post without actually reading it. If you had merely read my very FIRST LINE, you would understand why I posted what I did and why I brought up the points that I did, and why others may feel compelled to brings up the points you mentioned, although I cannot fathom any excuse whatsoever for personal attacks on the actors themselves. I certainly have NEVER done that. Had several people NOT brought up the tired old questions of “Why are you still watching if you don’t like the show?” or “Why do you come here if you are only going to complain about the show?” then I wouldn’t have felt the need to post. I certainly did NOT imply in any way that everyone dislikes “Huddy,” Thirteen, childish pranks, etc. We DO agree, however, on the big draw being the genius diagnostician; unfortunately, there have been fewer and fewer “genius” sightings over the last three years.

  • Mary

Erin, you should stop to copy and past other people posts. You do this not only here but also on the fox forum and I find it pathetic.

  • Bushy

Erin, what in God’s name is wrong with you?

Our comments about our disappointment in the direction of the show and the lazy/crappy writing the past few seasons “ruins your enjoyment of the show”??!
    ARE YOU FREAKIN’ KIDDING ME?
You have a hell of a nerve stalking and annoying the crap out of everyone who doesn’t agree with your views and tell us if we don’t like it then don’t watch, but then you have the nerve to tell us that our dislike of the show ruins your enjoyment of it?
You REALLY, REALLY need to get a life, sweetheart. You are pathetic.

    Chase is gay?????
    Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!

  • Dana Higgins

Sexuality comes in a million shades of grey…if Chase is gay, fine, but I still see him in my (waking) dreams.

  • Ellen

Thanks anyway, Erin, but I really am not much of a complainer, believe it or not. I don’t watch many shows, but I like those that I do watch very much. However, if any of those shows get dumbed down the way House did, I can’t promise that I won’t complain in the future.
I’ve pretty much said all I’ve had to say, so I’m going to step back and leave it to the Huddy squeeing. Enjoy!

  • Bushy

I’m not a shipper, but thanks for assuming that you know all about me. You must be a mind reader! Can I hire you as a freak show for my next birthday party? My friends will be impressed.

  • Bushy

Thank you, Pam. I’ve been asking this twit the same thing.

  • Bubbles

I like reading your comments, Bella. I see what you’re saying. Shows get old and their gray starts to show. But, I must say, Seinfeld, Curb, Law and Order, Monk these are all shows in my opinion that have kept up quality story telling in their advanced years. And don’t get me started on Dexter…:)

I guess in a way I am upset that the show shifted gears on me and went a complete different way and you’re right we can’t change tptb ideas etc. It is their vision after all. It’s just my opinion that their vision has morphed from quirk, original and interesting to same old routine relationship drama that happens to take place in a hospital.

  • Shelly

I agree it’s time to change things up a little for House. I don’t think I could have watched another whole season of him popping vicodin. It’s the challenge for the writers of the show to allow House to be happy and still create a “mix-up” with the rest of his crew. He can still be outspoken, even if he’s happy. I’m just excited to see where this goes!

  • LOL

The emmy snubbed house thanks to all the huddy crap

  • RaggedyMandy

The notes are still up on the House MD website (not the Fox board) but you have to get the web owner to give you access to the private part of the board because they are back there not where everyone can see them. There is also other stuff from the show.
