Sources confirm to me exclusively that Marg Helgenberger has inked a new contract with CSI.
With Helgenberger’s deal done, the spotlight shifts to fellow CSI vets George Eads (Nick), Eric Szmanda (Greg), and Paul Guilfoyle (Jim), all of whom are negotiating new deals ahead of the show’s 11th season. Jorja Fox is also in talks to return in some capacity.
Liz Vassey, meanwhile, will not be back.

Glad to hear she’s sticking around. I don’t think the show has very long left creatively – maybe another season or two – but it wouldn’t be nearly as good without her.

Agreed. She’s awesome, but deserves better. The CSI we all know and loved died a long time ago.
This show has long ago jumped the shark. Right around the time William Petersen left as a matter of fact. I can’t stand Laurence Fishburne’s character. I would’ve just shifted more of the spotlight on Nick. I always thought George Eads was an underrated actor and definitely has those leading man looks.
