The final episodes of Deadliest Catch that address the late Capt. Phil Harris continue to draw record audiences to the Discovery Channel. The July 6 episode — dubbed “Cain and Abel” — posted stellar ratings and attracted the largest audience (5.26 million) ever for the show. The episode also lured 3.08 million persons 25-54 and 2.55 million persons 18-49 — the largest audience ever in the demographic for a series in Discovery’s history.
Deadliest Catch was the No. 1 ad-supported cable telecast in prime time in almost every demographic that night.
The July 13 episode, titled “After the Catch,” will include a tribute to Harris while Deadliest Catch: Captain Phil Harris Remembered will bow July 20 and feature one-on-one interviews with fellow captains and Phil’s sons, Josh and Jake.
