I am trying to watch the live stream of nominations but it’s glitching and not really doing anything. I guess I can wait for the list.
I can’t believe Chandra Wilson wasn’t nominated for the Grey’s finale, she was soooo great in it.
She was robbed.
I can’t believe there is a category for best reality show host… Is that Emmy more or less impressive than a medal at the special olympics???
put her up on the list of being robbed…but I can let that slide b/c she is usually nominated…I am more outraged that Courtney Cox and Evangeline Lilly were snubbed
Yeah seriously. I agree with a bunch of the nominations but after that amazing performance how can she not be nominated? That’s like not nominating Jesus.
My boyfriend and i both think so !
. He is almost 14 years older than me,lol.we met via ~~ AgeLover.Co0oM ~~it’s a nice and free place for older women seeking younger men, or older men seeking younger women. No age gap is too wide in front of true love. . Maybe you wanna check out or tell your friends…@love it
ssssssssssssssssss
she was completely and utterly robbed! I think it’s a travesty she hasn’t won an emmy yet. She is amazing as Bailey. I wish they could see beyond the show and look to the performance. Grey’s may not be emmy worthy as a whole but Chandra certainly is.
This is my issue. Comparing cable shows with network shows. On cable there is much more freedom to what one can do or say. On network television there are strict rules. I think there should be a separation in the Emmy Awards so you don’t compare apples with oranges.
No love for Community?!
Agreed. She’s fantastic.
TK – I can’t believe there’s a category for it either. However, after watching last night’s So You Think You Can Dance, I wholeheartedly believe that Cat Deeley deserves one.
I was SHOCKED Chandra Wilson was not nominated. So shocked, that I probably wont watch it this year. I had not watched a single episode since I.Washington was fired; however, this episode – the finale, “reeled” me back in to Grey’s Anatomy. Chandra was EXCELLENT!!!!
i was expecting chandra and sandra to be nominated as usual. can’t believe they BOTH got snubbed suddenly. WTF man. they beat everyone else.
I agree. Chandra as Dr. Bailey gave the performance of her life.
Regardless of how good an individual actress may be… grays anatomy has sucked for a very long time. I would imagine they would be embarrassed to put a recognize a show that nobody takes seriously anymore
Well, Chandra might’ve been robbed but not as bad as Connie Britton: she’s been overlooked for 3 years now, and is finally getting the recognition she deserves. Along with Kyle Chandler.
The Emmy’s are racist! No blacks nominated.
If your a man prepearing to watch the Emmy’s, you are probably wearing panties!
strongblackman: Last time I checked, Andre Braugher was black.
We are outraged (including TK and Kaci) at the nom’s in the Reality Show Competition & Host categories. To add Ryan Seacrest after his unexplainably distasteful behavior on several episodes is inexcusable! His ad lib comments & questions to the contestants borde on the absurd. He has yet to learn that AI is not his show, nor is he the star of it!!
To have ignored SYTYCD and Cat Deeley is just plain ludicrous!!!!!
One amazing episode out of 26 shouldnt merit a nomination.
Totally agreed, that was the best performance of her career.
To strongblackman: Andre Braugher is Black, darling.
i have loved the office since the start, but community was WAY funnier this season
I am so disappointed that Community got snubbed. The Modern Warfare episode alone should have gotten the show nominated.
I agree. I’m not a huge Community fan it was much better than The Office this season, and I normally love The Office.
No Abed nom? What fools!
“Community” was better than “The Office.” I love them both, but “Community” just outdid them laugh-wise.
Actually, I would have subbed in Parks and Rec for one of the comedies. That show was hysterical last year.
As usual, the Emmys are a lot of crap.
The emmys are a big pile of horses*#t! No Community and no Chuck nominations? WTF?????
yeah community has been a bright light in the dribble of cookie cutter comedies such as modern family and two and a half men. I feel community was fresh think it deserves credit for being so darn good and funny
Lost rules ALL!!!
Lost is definitely a lock in the “crappiest finale” category.
No Lost is a definite lock on being one of the most convoluted and improbable shows category…
I mean COME ON they had been trying to escape the island for like 3 months and then they go back?
you’ve got to be kidding me.
“Lost” will have to be satisfied with the nominations, with the only chance for a win being for Terry O’Quinn.
LOST rules!! it does
Lost will sweep the Emmys, including Best Drama Series and Best Actor (Matthew Fox). Definitely the best TV show ever. I’m also glad Friday Night Lights got some recognition–especially in the acting categories. I think FNL deserved to be nominated more than The Good Wife.
Yeah, I think I must be dreaming. Nods for FOX!!!!, O’Quinn, and Emerson. Oh, and Kyle Chandler and Connie Britton! Someone up there loves me. I really will be heartbroken if anyone but Fox or Chandler takes the win, though. There is a lot of talent on television right now, and I watch all the shows that the male nominees are on except House, but those two stand above the rest this season, in my opinion. Far above the rest.
Matthew Fox!!!!!!!! Hell yeah!!!!!!!!!!! I hope LOST wins instead of frickin Mad Men again…
GLEE SQUEE!
I’m with Coco!
How funny is it that even the Emmys don’t love Jay Leno? Seeing THE TONIGHT SHOW WITH CONAN O’BRIEN on the list made my day.
It made my day too when I saw Conan’s name on the list. We really like Colbert and Stewart, but think they would pass if they knew the Emmy would go to Conan!!! That would be sooooo cool. SO THERE NBC!!!
I hope I win. Even though I LOST in the ratings. Even though most of America hated my show!!
Conan of 9:29pm: I don’t believe for a minute that you’re THE Conan, but…IF you are, you have to know America did not hate your show. You left with more class and grace than most of your peers would have ever shown. Yes, you left with boatloads of money, but money doesn’t buy self-esteem which is the core of a good and happy person, which you are. Wishing the best for you, Conan, in your new ventures.
@jezobel…How funny? Funnier than anything that ever came out of Jay Leno’s mouth!
This Emmys are racist. Blacks can’t catch a break.
Also if your a man who is planning to watch the Emmy’s, you’re probably wearing panties!
Apparently race is your issue and not the Emmy’s – how about Andre Braugher for one?
The Emmys are racist but at least Andre Braugher got nominated. And Archie Punjabi. One black, one brown.
How are the Emmys racist? I worked for a major network for years and many African-Americans have been nominated and won. Check out the Emmy webite before you make such ridiculous remarks.
Oh shuddup…
Wilson: Sorry you had to wait. For the most part, looks like you didn’t miss much since it turns out to be the same-o, same-o.
Again, some of the lesser known cable stations are snubbed. FX has provided us with two very edgy drama’s; Nip/Tuck, and now Justified. Timothy Olyphant and Walton Goggins are giving Emmy performances. Shame on the academy.
I totally agree with Timothy O & Walton Goggins not getting nominated for Justified. That just nurned me UP! Both were BRILLANT in Justified, especially Walton Goggins.
why wasn’t Deadliest Catch nominated…that show is chilling. I mean Antiques Roadshow? Come on…
You are soooooo right! Deadliest Catch is the best reality show on TV today! Anyone who hasn’t shed a tear this year over Captain Phil’s story has no heart! Miles better than Antiques Roadshow.
I totally agree. Deadliest Catch is awesome. Captain Phil’s story, everything he went through in this past season, was heart wrenching. Would choose this show over Antiques Roadshow any day.
*fingers crossed*
Come on Zach Gilford…..
Just looked at the list online and Zach Gilford didn’t get nominated.
i think he’s the worst thing on that show and didn’t deserve a nod… thank god kyle & connie did — though the girl who plays their daughter deserved a nod.
as i watched zach guilford, i thought EMMY! guess not. a shame.
Rachel, you think Aimee Teegarden is a stronger performer than Zach Gilford? What the hell are you smoking?
Thank You, Mary! I completely agree. I saw that comment and said, ‘WTF?’ Gilford is definitely the stronger actor and SHOULD have been nominated!
Kycle Chandler and Connie Britton!!!!!!!! Finally.
I know! I saw the drama category first without FNL and thought, “screwed again.” But then I saw the actor categories and thought “only HALF screwed again.” Progress.
AMEN!!! It is to bad the show got screwed over once again, but finally Kyle and Connie got nominated.
Okay, FNL should have been for drama but FINALLY those two are recognized!
Finally!
Ausiello must be so proud! He’s had them on his dream Emmy ballot for years.
About damn time!
Now just nominate “Treme” in SOMETHING… and substitute Parks & Rec and Community for The Office and Nurse Jackie in “Best Comedy,” and the Emmys are (nearly) embarrassment-free!
OMGGG They nominated both Kyle Chandler and Connie Britton!!!!
I’m so happy
I am shocked! In the best way! It seems more Emmy voters watch DirecTV than NBC, since the actors are finally nominated. So, so deserving.
I know, right? Finally!!!
yay!!!!! It’s about time.
Yay for Kyle Chandler and Connie Britton!! I’m so happy they’re being recognized for their great work!!
Yay “Lost” and Matthew Fox! Too bad, Joel McHale, stop phoning in your performances and you’ll get a nom some day.
Haha. That was hilarious when he said that. He really is a funny guy
uhhh … i think joel mchale is more worthy of a nomination than matthew morrison of glee and i like glee. i also question the nomination of lea michele for glee … there just seems like a better option. again, i like glee. i think their performances are fine. but not so much emmy candidate worthy.
And I tire of the obligatory “Two and a Half Men” nod to John Cryer … that show sucks! It should have gone to Danny Pudi on Community.
Lois, right on.
I am impressed with the nom for Chris Colfer for Glee though. I didn’t see that one coming, but it’s well deserved.
I agree with lois’ observation of the two and a hlaf men nom…the most overrated show in tv history IMHO…awful show
I agree about Community but I just know that NPH and Jim Parsons both need to win this year after being snubbed last year.
mike o’malley!!! yay. didn’t like him until “glee”, but the nom is WELL deserved. and i can understand chris getting a nod because their scenes together are some of the best on tv.
Oh man, I totally didn’t even see that Chris Colfer got a nod! That’s awesome, he’s such a talented kid, and completely deserves the recognition.
I was excited to see Elizabeth Mitchell nominated as Juliet as a guest star!
Yay! I’m glad she finally got some love!
Joel McCale makes me ill. He is not an actor. He’s a guy who reads cue cards.
I agree, Fox and all the other LOST nominations are well deserved. However, I hope frickin Mad Men doesnt win again…I’m so sick of all these “intellectuals” saying that television has to be cynical in order to be intelligent. Darlton had the b*lls to end their show on an emotional, somewhat spiritual note, so good for them!!!!!
Go Conan and The Amazing Race!!!
For sure!
Love Amazing Race but I hope it’s Top Chef this year!!!
My friend and I started cracking up when Conan was the only traditional late night show nominated. His acceptance speech would be awesome.
I guess Conan got the last laugh for that one!
I’m SOOO excited that Conan got a nomination!!! I sure hope he wins…. Wouldn’t that be a kick in the head for NBC!!!
Matthew fox ???!? Come on …so many deserve it more than him !
No love for Parenthood….a way better drama than Lost…and a perfect ensemble cast !
I DISAGREE! Fox was incredible in the last season. Did you even watch?
Totally agree. He was outstanding
Never said he was bad…I just feel that there is way better acting going on…Peter Krause,John Noble,Timothy Olyphant for example…or male costar Terry O’Quinn and Michael Emerson should have been in Outstanding lead actor categories…
I think Matthew Fox’s performance in the Lost finale proves he deserves his nomination. He was perfection.
No – didn’t watch at all – the whole premise was bad to start with! Come on “smoke monster”???
I watched Lost…I am a fan … but I am also a fan other great tv shows…oh and I forgot…Courtney Cox and Busy Phillips should have got nominated too…perfect comedy timing for both of them !
Matthew Fox was fantastic in Lost and he deserves the nomination. I am so glad he received it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@Simonnn
Its not that the Emmy voters select the category the actor is nominated in. Terry and Michael both submitted themselves as supporting actors. And Fox was spectacular this season, especially in the finale. Say what you will as to if the finale was good, but you cannot deny his performance in it.
Fox was amazing this season. Always been a fan but he kicked it up a notch this year, especially in the finale.
Are you kidding me? Matthew Fox was so great this season that he got the haters to like him. It takes some damn good acting to do that.
I think Fox has always been great, it just depends how much you liked his character personally. He made a serious emotional impact this season. Unforgettable.
I respectfully disagree. This was Matthew Fox’s best acting in a long time; he really redeemed Jack with his performance. Many fans really liked Jack this season after not liking him for so long thanks to Fox’s phenomenal performance in the finale.
Agree completely.
100% agreed. His acting really stepped up to another level this season, and he more than deserves this nomination. In fact, I feel like a kid in a candy store, because LOST, Fox, O’Quinn, AND Emerson all got noms. I hope at least one comes through with a win!!!
Agreed. I was never especially impressed by him – I mean he was fine, but that was it – until this season, when he rose to the occasion and was truly, truly superb.
My thoughts exactly.
Fox got nominated because his costars were all in the supporting category. Olyphant deserves it way more.
Parenthood is not a great show though, either. It’s the problems of upper class white people, which honestly, they all create for themselves. Lauren Graham and Mae Whitman are the best thing about that show, and I was sure Graham would be recognized.
Sorry, I must be someone very out of the ordinary to be sensitive to white upper class problems over plane crash on a mysterious island…But at least you acknowledge Graham and Whitman’s talent
Well I guess you don’t care much for anything by Shakespeare either, if that’s how you look at things.
Though Matthew Fox was amazing this season, I wish John Noble would win (I know he (and Fringe for that matter) wasn’t even nominated – what were they thinking???) It’s an amazing, well-acted and well-written show!
Unlike the problems of everyone else, which THEY don’t create for THEMSELVES? I can’t decide if your comment is racist, stupid, or both. Yes, I can. It’s both.
Parenthood is a GREAT show. It appeals to the majority of people watching network TV and it basically shows situations that everyone can relate to in some way or another. The cast is amazing and so are the writers and producers. Very famous names are associated with this show.
Parenthood is awful garbage. There are only 2 things good about it, Craig T. Nelson and Lauren Graham. However the show is boring (zzzz). Can’t get through 15 minutes much less a sentence writing about it without falling asleep. Way to go all LOST noms!
Ok how can you acknowledge Craig T.Nelson and Laura Graham work on the show if you can’t even watch it for more than 15 minutes…you should give the show a chance…I’m sure that if someone totally stranger to the Lost phenomenon watched 15 minutes of a random episode…he would probably bashed his head against the wall and get in a coma after that
Three cheers for Foxy! He is up against some heavy hitters in that category, but he deserved the recognition. It’s harder to play the hero than the villain, in many ways. Well deserved recognition for a really cool guy.
I agree totally!
I hated jack for the majority of Lost but Foxy turned me around this season! He was phenomenal in the finale! Well deserved!
r u kidding me…fox has been one of the best the last 5 years…
am\nd this year was way better than most
Shows like Parenthood and Community need to prove it.
no f*cking way! Fox is a fantastic actor and this last year really highlighted that. Im soo glad that he was nominated!
Matthew Fox was amazing last season. I am so happy for him. I really hope Lost wins all of the categories!!!!!
he was outstanding… in fact even though i hated his character… he was outstanding throughout the entire series… as was everyone else on the show
You’re entitled to your opinion, Simonnn, even if it’s a wrong one. Matthew Fox was great this season. I’ve never been a fan of his acting on Party of Five or anything else he’s done, but he’s really put in better and better performances on each season of Lost. I’m glad he was finally rewarded with an Emmy nomination. Although I’m torn between him and Kyle Chandler. If either of those two win, I’ll be happy. Anyone else, not so much.
AND let the ewwy awards begin….so many snubs
“Community” got totally hosed.
Yay for LOST!!! Totally desesrved
YAY — for Modern Family !
BOO — FRINGE was done robbed!
Let’s see if John Noble gets a very deserved nod.
Arrggh! John Noble’s nomination was robbed!
I know! His protrayal of Walter Bishop is some of the best acting I’ve seen on television…EVER!
LOST?? Are you kidding? I guess they are just a bunch of sappy idiots in Hollywood. Of course, Avatar’s Best Picture nomination was proof of that.
You obviously never watched the show so keep your idiotic comments to yourself!
Wow deb. Good morning. I watched the show and don’t think it was one of the best.
Agree with Eric because let me tell you a secret…you can actually watch Lost from the beginning and not be totally blown away
and yet you can watch AND be blown away! go deb and YAY LOST – the greatest television series of ALL TIME.
I HAVE watched “Lost.” It got its nomination, but it was by no means the best television drama of the year, nor were its performances the best dramatic performances of the year.
“Glee”‘s nominations, other than Jane Lynch’s, are disappointing. The Academy obviously bought the hype, because I’ve seen and heard better acting and singing in high school productions.
booo DN.
We should just defer to Eric, the Emmy expert (AKA, Cliff Claven)!
IMO Avatar was nominated because it was such a breakthrough in 3d. It was an immersive experience, but you had to see it in it’s optimal 3d imax to appreciate it. As for Lost, loved it and you have to look beyond the surface to appreciate it. Looking at the surface only would’ve meant the show being cancelled season 1.
You are soo wrong. You have no idea what you are talking about
LOST is one of the greatest shows in TV history. All you haters are idiots.
Yes!!!! Connie Britton and Kyle Chandler and Amy Poehler and matthew Fox nominated….Charlie Sheen not. Terrific news. Only one mistake (IMO) among the nominations announced on TV and that’s True Blood’s nomination for Best Drama Series instead of Friday Night Lights.
TOTALLY AGREE! Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE Trure Blood. But Best Drama?! Are they serious?
I completely agree with you about FNL. That should have been nominated but I’m so glad Kyle and Connie were.
Nice to see Lost nominated and what a surprise to see True Blood for Best Drama.
Yeah except where’s Treme. True Blood’ssecond season was a mess (thanks Maryann).
Agreed. Maryann was so annoying.
Parks & Rec?
Parks and Rec definitely deserved a nom. So too Amy Poehler
I know right. But The Office got a nom? P&R was on fire this season, The Office was a big miss most of the season.
Totally agree! The Office was a snoozefest this season! Very weak storylines! At least Poehler got recognized!
YEAH Jim Parsons!!
But really – Tony Shalub (sp??) again?!
AND, while I LOVE Glee, I do not see Matthew Morrison as lead for a comedy. I just don’t. Lea ok, I can see it, but the only thing really funny about Morrison’s performance is when he has to rap.
Yeah. Clearly the Emmys just jumped on the Glee bandwagon. I definitely don’t think of Matthew Morrison as a stand-out comedic actor
I’m so glad I’m not alone with this. Morrison really nailed the scene opposite Gilsig (episode 12, if you saw it)–powerful. But he’s WAY too melodramatic and heavy in the comedy scenes. Hopefully, his nom is akin to that of Teri Hatcher, and he’ll GTFO next year and make room for Joel McHale.
I hope Community earned some supporting nominations, perhaps for Chevy Chase. I’d feel devastated on its behalf if it weren’t even recognized….
I completely agree. Morrison is great in Glee but there actors more deserving of this nod.
I have to agree/disagree with some of the comments of Matthew Morrison. I don’t think he deserved the Emmy nod, but I also think he’s probably the weakest link on the show. He’s way too theater for tv, and Joel McHale should have gotten his slot
I agree with you. Monk? Again? I thought that series had ended years ago.
I did too! Still on? Jeez, that show’s like a stubborn stain that wont wash out.
I kid. I’ve heard it’s really great…from…uh my grandmother. She thinks she’s watching Columbo.
Monk has been cancelled.
Remember that time he broke down and cried in the car in the finale? THAT was funny!
Hahaha finally! I burst out laughing when that happened. I don’t know if I was supposed to but hilarious.
Howsabout that Chris Colfer nod at what? 21 years of age? I am shocked and thrilled for the guy — man, it’s like: suck it, high school!! LOL – wow… he deserves it though.
Ugh. I’m sick of all the praise for Chris and his charcter on Glee. I am a gay man and I’m so tired of the world thinking all gays are crying, scheming, prissy sailors. I LOVE Glee except for the 100% stereotype Kurt. His very presence drives me crazy. I’m thrilled Mike O’Malley got a nod as Kurt’s dad. Now HE deserves the nom. Chris? not so much. And Chris is a lock to win too, because his character is so “sympathetic.” Whatever. Almost everything heart-breaking that happens to Kurt is of his own doing. He brings on his own drama and then we’re supposed to feel bad for him? Ugh. Come on, Emmys, give Neil Patrick Harris is overdue Emmy this year for HIMYM. PLEASE!
@Gus
I was in chorus in HS and I knew a guy EXACTLY like Kurt. Every one I have talked to that was either in Glee in HS or Chorus or whatever, there was a guy exactly like him and everyone else. The characters represented, and I do mean all of them, are representative to me of how my show choir experience was. The only difference being is at least Kurts character is strong enough and confident enough and has a supportive father. The guy I knew ended up in the hospital, because even though I grew up in California (not Ohio), he was beat up for being the sissy guy in show choir.
I have to sort of agree, the character of Kurt bugs me(and I am gay too) but I think it might be because he is so real/believeable. I do get tired of his “I don’t wanna do manly stuff but want u to want me to do manly stuff but you can’t do manly stuff with anyone else” posturing with his Dad, so i do hope they move past that soon.
Chris Colfer just turned 20 a month or so ago….he is awesome, right? Love his “defying gravity” so much more than Lm’s
I knew of at least 1 guy like Kurt in High School, gay and not hiding it, and pretty fem. No, absolutely not all gay men act that way, but his portrayal is of one who does, and what the consequences are for his being true to himself. Some people have never met anyone like that, and it is good to get that out there
and even his raps aren’t funny. They are awkward and embarrassing. I wish the category was musical AND comedy cause then the Glee nominations would at least qualify. That show blows (no offense) but the singing talent is very good
I think Cory Monteith would be better for Lead actor. Hes great. He always gives his lines so great and his facial expressions sell the performances. I think he was robbed.
