I was very pleased to hear about the nominations. O’Quinn and Emerson are more than worthy of an award this year. I was really happy that Matthew Fox got a nom, by the end I thought if anyone was gonna be nominated it was him. I only started liking Jack recently, but Fox has been one of the most powerful actors on this show since the beginning. Bravo Lost!
Josh holloway deserved emmy for LaFleur, The Incident, LA X or The End…
how can som1 forget his performace when juliet fell in the hole, or died in his arms or they got enlightened in the Finale in purgatory…Sawyer/Juliet enlightenement was the most beautiful enlightenment on LOST Final Season…:(
No surprise here that no women got acting noms on “Lost” in the main categories. It is is another indication of the poor writing for women on that show, especially the last two seasons. What in the world has Sun had to do since S4? Or, frankly, Kate? She was just there to provide a point in a triangle for the two male leads. (Would have been simpler if they’d cut her out and just had Jack and Sawyer get together.) And poor Claire did most of her acting with her squirrel wig. I like Mitchell, but she had nothing to do, even in the finale. I think she got that nom from popularity, not her performance.
Glad for Fox. He is consistently good…but no way he wins. Too many heavy hitters in that category. Laurie is superb year after year and has never won.
Agree with Sky about Ab Aeterno, a giant slice of cheese. I don’t blame Nestor, but that kind of overwrought melodrama does not bring out the best acting in even good actors. It was cringe-worthy (yes, I know most of you loved it, but not my cup of tea). Bit tired of O’Quinn and Emerson every year; I wish they’d rewarded Jorge for a change. But it’s the Emmys; it’s remarkable they had as many new people as they did.
