What about Tobey, for jsut a little while. Long enough to make everything and everyone crazy with Human Resource knowledge. It would be Michael’s nightmare come true. Than an office takeover, secret ballots and then Andy would come out winner beating Big Tuna by half a point. Half cause Kelly would have voted half for each man.

God for bid Dwight becomes the boss. He’s very unappetizing to me. The Office has a very good supporting cast, but Steve Carell is the show. They would be better off hiring someone new.

  • Kate

I love Rain Wilson but having Dwight as boss is a terrible idea. Dwight is funny in small doses, too much of that character and the episode suffers.

If they are going for dignity, end it when Carell leaves. If they want to try to keep it going, take a chance and bring in someone new. Promoting Dwight is just…predictable.

Not a chance in hell! Dwight doesn’t know how to run an office, not the way Michael does, and Michael does. Definitely. And Michael (Steve) shouldn’t really leave, because he’s The Office. Jim could replace Michael (maybe with Pam as co-manager), but it still will drive Dwight crazy again. I’m saying Steve should stay in the show because it won’t be the same without him. Dwight is such an idiot, big time.

You need a “wackO” to replace a “wackO”, so why not Dwight?

      true

Dwight is a ‘natural’ for the transition. He should probably take 8 or 9 shows…fail miserably. Then transition into someone else…maybe his replacement? The dynamic of ‘the office’ wouldn’t be altered and it would give writers time to transition without changing the interpersonal relationships of the rest of the cast.

I for one hope that the cut scene she referred to makes it onto the dvds!!

Both Dwight and Michael have become painfully too much to watch. The only redeeming part of Dwight is that Jim and Pam were so good at playing jokes on him. No more trips to the beet farm please! Putting him in as manager would be the worst case scenario!!! It will be predictable, uncomfortable and just too annoying to watch. Let him suffer with a new boss and pranks from the others that the new boss never sees. That’s funny stuff. And let Phyllis play the best prank of the season. Be unpredictable.

I never watch TV since I have no time but the only reason I started watching The Office was cause Steve Carrel was IN it!!

I can’t imagine someone else in HIS “office” (no pun intended)

They are surely gonna lose thousands if not millions once he’s gone.

    i think Michael should stay

I agree Only 1 person Rainn Wilson as Dwight could make this a transition and a I think as much as i like Michael Scott and I am very sad to see him go it can go on this way and grown Rainn can do it,with the help of this outstanding group of actors will will make it even better if thats possible.

    ..Stanley. He’s the only choice.
